Did Scumbag A Get Divorced Today? (GL) - Chapter 13
Before leaving the club, Sui Yu gave Shen Jueshu a call to ask if Jiang Siyue could stay at their home for a while. After getting a “yes,” she finally drove home.
By the time they returned, it was already 9:00 p.m. The lights in the house were still off, which made Sui Yu frown slightly. Was Shen Jueshu still working?
She brought Jiang Siyue inside and told her to pick any room she liked to sleep in. Then, Sui Yu went to wash away the lingering smell of alcohol. When she stepped out of the bathroom, feeling refreshed, it was already close to 10:00. She walked over to the window and glanced out into the courtyard—still no sign of Shen Jueshu’s car.
She took out her phone, intending to call her, but stopped short, remembering their agreement—to stay out of each other’s business. Would calling her now cross a line?
In the end, she put the phone down, casually blow-dried her hair, and laid down on the bed. Yet for some reason, her mood felt unusually heavy, weighed down by a vague sense of gloom.
Suddenly, her phone rang. When she saw it was Shen Jueshu calling, she quickly picked up. But before she could say anything, Qin Qing’s anxious voice came through the speaker:
“Huaiyang Court, Room 103—President Shen is drunk!”
Sui Yu didn’t ask for details. She shot up from bed, changed into clean clothes at record speed, and rushed downstairs—where she ran into Jiang Siyue holding a glass of water, staring at her in surprise.
“It’s so late—where are you going?”
“To pick up Shen Jueshu.”
She went out, got into the car, and entered the destination. Every move was fluid, efficient, and instinctive.
Back in the house, Jiang Siyue took a slow sip of water and blinked, dazed. That kind of reaction… was that really someone who had let go of Shen Jueshu?
It was already after 10:00 p.m., so traffic was light. Sui Yu drove quickly, reaching Huaiyang Court in less than 30 minutes. As she drove, she called Qin Qing while heading toward Room 103.
Once the call connected, she asked urgently, “How is Shen Jueshu?”
Whatever Qin Qing said on the other end, it made Sui Yu pick up her pace even more.
By the time she reached Room 103, Qin Qing was already waiting at the door. She led her inside, and Sui Yu was immediately hit by a thick, chaotic blend of pheromones that made her instinctively frown. She wasn’t fond of this kind of environment.
Inside, only Shen Jueshu remained—sitting there alone, dazed. Clearly, the social gathering had already ended. And judging by her state, Sui Yu was reminded of the last time she’d seen her drunk.
She stepped closer and noticed Shen Jueshu’s expression looked calm, almost too normal. If not for knowing the context, one would never suspect she was intoxicated. Sui Yu crouched down and instinctively softened her voice:
“Shen Jueshu… do you know who I am?”
She didn’t dare touch her. Even when sober, Shen Jueshu didn’t like being touched—let alone now. Sui Yu genuinely feared getting slapped the moment her hand reached out.
Just then, Shen Jueshu seemed to register her presence. She slowly turned her head to look at Sui Yu, dazed. Her jaw tensed.
Sui Yu inwardly cursed—this isn’t good.
Before she could back away, SMACK!
A loud slap landed squarely on her face.
Sui Yu clutched her stinging cheek, stunned, staring at Shen Jueshu, who was now trying to stand up. She hadn’t even touched her—and still got slapped?! But before she could process it, she had to dodge, rolling out of the way to avoid a kick.
“Shen Jueshu!” she called, half in disbelief, half exasperation.
Even Qin Qing was stunned by the scene. She quickly rushed forward to grab hold of Shen Jueshu and then looked at Sui Yu, whose cheek now clearly showed five red fingerprints. Her expression turned a bit complicated.
The old Sui Yu would never have ended up in such a pathetic state. And now, after being hit by Shen Jueshu, she didn’t even get angry. When had her temper gotten this good?
Sui Yu touched her face. She figured she probably wouldn’t be going out in public for a while.
“How much did she even drink?” she muttered.
This part definitely wasn’t in the book—she never hit anyone!
Qin Qing pointed helplessly at the bottles scattered across the room. “Half of these were finished by President Shen.”
Sui Yu’s expression darkened immediately. “Why did she drink so much?”
No matter the world, it seemed business banquets and drinking games were universal.
Qin Qing lowered her gaze. “It’s hard for an Omega to secure a project.”
Especially a female Omega—if she wanted more in this world, she had to sacrifice more than anyone else.
Sui Yu’s face turned even uglier, but she didn’t comment further. Instead, she took a breath and tried to approach Shen Jueshu again.
“How are you feeling now? Can you go home?”
Her cheek still throbbed painfully from that slap—talking tugged at the corner of her mouth and made it sting even more.
Shen Jueshu didn’t respond, but at least this time, she didn’t strike her again.
Sui Yu quietly exhaled in relief. With Qin Qing’s help, she managed to get Shen Jueshu into the car, then invited Qin Qing to ride along so she could keep an eye on her in the back seat.
Qin Qing didn’t waste time arguing. She simply got in and sat in the back, closer to Shen Jueshu to take care of her.
Sui Yu glanced at the rearview mirror. Even drunk, Shen Jueshu at least had the decency not to throw a tantrum. If someone like her had been both drunk and rowdy, that really would’ve been a nightmare.
After dropping Qin Qing off at her place, Sui Yu turned the car around and drove back to the marital home. Once she parked, she opened the car door on Shen Jueshu’s side. Carefully leaning in, she reached out to gently tap her hand. When there was no reaction, she let out a small sigh of relief and slowly helped her down.
Thankfully, Shen Jueshu didn’t resist this time. She followed obediently into the house and up the stairs. The whole villa was unusually quiet—Jiang Siyue might have already fallen asleep in her room, or at least was tucked away in silence.
Supporting Shen Jueshu into the bedroom, Sui Yu realized—this was her first time entering the room. Her first time seeing what Shen Jueshu’s private space looked like.
White. Stark, sterile white. In the dim light of night, it felt almost unsettling.
Just how cold did a person’s heart have to be… to live in a room like this?
Sui Yu lowered her eyes and gently helped Shen Jueshu onto the bed. She leaned across her, reaching for the blanket to pull over her—
SLAP!
“—Tch!” Sui Yu stumbled back two steps, raising her hand to the other side of her now-swollen face.
Again?! She hadn’t even touched her directly this time!
The sting was sharp, and her cheek was already beginning to swell. Clearly, Shen Jueshu hadn’t held back.
“Shen Jueshu!” This time, Sui Yu was genuinely angry. It was one thing to be mistreated when the woman was sober—but now even drunk she was this violent?!
Shen Jueshu’s brows furrowed. Apparently disturbed by the loud voice, she squinted at Sui Yu. There wasn’t a trace of haziness in her eyes—no drunken blur. Just cold, sharp clarity.
“You’re not even drunk?!” Sui Yu nearly lost it.
This woman—both times she’d claimed to be drunk, but everything she did seemed intentional! Whether she was faking or not was something only Shen Jueshu herself would know.
“So noisy,” Shen Jueshu said coldly.
Sui Yu was stunned. She pointed at her own face. “Noisy? Look at what you’ve done!”
Maybe because she was too agitated, a trace of her geranium-scented pheromones began to leak out. But it was quickly sensed by the Omega in the room.
Shen Jueshu’s expression grew even colder. The moment she detected the Alpha pheromones, her own icy aura surged—an overwhelming blast of Omega dominance crashing down on Sui Yu like a tidal wave.
She was actually trying to suppress an Alpha with her pheromones!
