Did Scumbag A Get Divorced Today? (GL) - Chapter 25.2
“You—” Sui Yu could feel the soft, cold-scented body pressing tightly against hers, and it was like a spark to dry grass.
In an instant, she was burning too.
Her geranium-scented pheromones burst out, swirling through the air and dancing with the icy scent Shen Jueshu gave off—snow and flame, trying to merge into something singular, chaotic, and devastatingly alluring.
Sui Yu’s face turned bright red.
She could hear Shen Jueshu’s pheromones whispering in her mind—
“I want…”
“I want…”
There was no need to finish that sentence. In this state, for an Omega, it could only mean one thing.
Sui Yu bit her lip hard, trying to stay conscious. But the next second, her knees buckled—she was going down too.
Still, she wrapped her arms around Shen Jueshu to keep her from hitting the floor.
The sheer pressure of her pheromones made Sui Yu feel like her sanity was shattering piece by piece. If this kept up, she would lose control.
That’s when her eyes fell on the box of suppressants lying a short distance away.
Hope flared in her chest.
Carefully, she stretched out her arm to grab it—but Shen Jueshu, lying atop her, was not cooperating. Her scorching breath brushed Sui Yu’s face, her warm lips dangerously close to touching her cheek.
This wasn’t passion—it was a survival instinct. And Sui Yu was terrified she’d end up with a bite on the face!
Abandoning the suppressant for now, Sui Yu quickly reached up and covered Shen Jueshu’s mouth.
Her voice cracked in desperation as she shouted, “Shen Jueshu! Watch your knees—where are they going?”
She tried to close her legs—but she couldn’t. One of Shen Jueshu’s legs had slid right between hers. She was trapped.
Looking up at the dazed, feverish Shen Jueshu, Sui Yu nearly coughed up bl00d.
Shen Jueshu, you demon—right now, you’re not the one being taken advantage of…
You’re the one about to take mine!
The room was thick with pheromones—snow and geranium—mixing wildly in the air.
In a flash of clarity, Sui Yu remembered what the novel had said. She gritted her teeth and leaned closer, lifting her bloodied neck to Shen Jueshu. The source of the geranium scent overflowed with pheromones—rich, potent, and calming.
Sui Yu concentrated all her will into softening her scent, filling it with warmth and safety.
Slowly, she felt Shen Jueshu’s body grow less tense. Less frantic.
Relieved, Sui Yu ignored the awkward position they were in and lunged for the suppressant box. She ripped it open, grabbed a syringe, and, seeing that Shen Jueshu was finally calm enough, injected it into her arm.
Only then did she breathe a sigh of relief—and even managed a tired, proud little smile.
Mission: Survive the Omega’s heat cycle—complete.
Sui Yu, you are truly a living Bodhisattva.
A savior among Alphas.
She was just quietly waiting for Shen Jueshu to stabilize—but instead, the Omega’s condition was getting worse. Her pheromones spiked sharply, flooding the room, and the soft, helpless moans floating in the air grew more and more provocative.
Sui Yu’s face flushed and then turned pale in cycles as she stared at the suppressant box.
Omega-specific suppressant, clearly labeled.
Why the hell wasn’t it working?!
“Sui… Sui Yu!” Shen Jueshu’s gritted voice bit at her ear like ice wrapped in fire.
“I— I swear I gave you a suppressant!” Sui Yu was on the verge of breakdown. She even held up the box to prove her innocence. “Look! I opened a new one! See?”
Shen Jueshu, panting and trembling, tried to reach out and strangle her—but her strength failed. “The suppressant failed,” she snarled through clenched teeth.
Is this woman an idiot?!
With an Alpha living under the same roof, how could she not be prepared with suppressants? The fact that she was prepared and still spiraled into uncontrollable heat meant only one thing:
Her pheromones were destabilized.
Right now, Shen Jueshu wanted to tear Sui Yu apart. That shot of suppressant not only failed to help—it actually acted like a catalyst, pushing her into a worse heat wave.
Sui Yu paled. Oh no. I’ve made everything worse…
Watching Shen Jueshu suffer like this, Sui Yu immediately released more of her pheromones to soothe her. And even in her panic, she couldn’t help but admire her.
Most Omegas lost their minds in heat, reduced to hormone-driven instinct.
But not Shen Jueshu.
When her rationality slipped, she didn’t beg for relief. She bit and marked an Alpha.
That wasn’t Omega behavior. That was Alpha instinct!
Sui Yu had read plenty of A/B/O novels, but never once had she seen a female lead like this. In heat? Sure. Desperate for touch? Definitely. But deciding to mark an Alpha mid-heat?! Who does that?!
And now—post-marking, mid-heat—what was she doing?
Stripping herself? No.
She was trying to strip someone else.
Sui Yu clutched her collar protectively. Her voice broke as she yelled, “Shen Jueshu, are you sure you’re not the Alpha here?!”
Her actions, her energy, the sheer force of her dominance—none of it screamed Omega.
Shen Jueshu, buried against her neck, was inhaling deeply. The scent of bl00d-tinged geraniums lingered there, and Shen Jueshu seemed to ground herself against it, calming—slowly—through Sui Yu’s pheromones.
Her resistance to suppressants is getting worse, Sui Yu thought. What if one day, they stop working entirely?
That would be catastrophic.
Thankfully, it wasn’t Sui Yu’s susceptibility period. Even if Shen Jueshu’s heat was affecting her, she could still stay rational—for now. She even looked… unbothered, like she found the whole thing tedious.
But Sui Yu was not unbothered. She was an Alpha, sure—but also a proper, chaste, innocent Alpha, okay? Shen Jueshu sniffing her like a slow-cooked dish—she was seriously blushing herself into oblivion.
She gritted her teeth. She had to endure this.
Only an Alpha’s pheromones could calm Shen Jueshu now. If she pushed her away, it might trigger an even worse spiral.
“Once you calm down, you’d better thank me properly!” Sui Yu growled.
You didn’t even give me suppressants during my susceptible period, she thought bitterly. And now I’m supposed to play yours?
Technically, she could just leave her here, let her suffer it out. But every time she remembered how the novel described Shen Jueshu enduring heat without suppressants in the basement, it made her stomach twist.
If she really left now… she’d be no better than the original owner. And that thought made her sick.
No suppressant…
A thought suddenly flashed through Sui Yu’s mind.
In the novel, once Shen Jueshu captured the original scumbag Alpha, she vowed to return every single act of cruelty back tenfold—including not providing suppressants during the Alpha’s own susceptible periods.
Sui Yu’s body went cold.
What if Shen Jueshu was reborn too?
If Sui Yu could transmigrate… what if Shen Jueshu had regressed?
She wanted to curse. Loudly.
Because if that was the case—if this Shen Jueshu had lived through everything and come back darkened by it all—then she was dangerous as hell.
It would also explain the seething hatred. The emotional instability. Why no amount of explanation or logic ever seemed to reach her.
If she had already suffered, it was too late to stop it. No matter how much Sui Yu changed the story now, the damage had already been done.
Tears welled up.
If that’s true… then nothing changed. Shen Jueshu still ended up in hell.
A quiet, trembling voice broke the silence beside her ear.
“You… why are you crying?”
Sui Yu froze.
It was Shen Jueshu—weak, hoarse, confused.
Tears streamed down Sui Yu’s face like they cost nothing. Shen Jueshu looked at her in genuine confusion. Wasn’t she the one who was suffering right now?
And it’s not like she was strangling her anymore—just absorbing a bit of her pheromones. Why was she crying like she’d just lost her entire family?
Sui Yu sniffled, eyes glassy, as she looked at the blurry figure in front of her. Suddenly, she reached out and pulled Shen Jueshu into a tight hug, choking out between sobs:
“Why is it like this? Why is it still like this…”
She had thought—truly believed—that changing the plot would let Shen Jueshu remain the radiant, noble figure she was supposed to be.
