Did Scumbag A Get Divorced Today? (GL) - Chapter 3
“Heh.” Shen Jueshu let out a cold laugh, glancing at her sideways. “Even people who aren’t getting divorced sometimes end up murdering their wives. So tell me—now that we’re actually divorcing—what obligation do I have left?”
Sui Yu: “…” Damn it, the female lead is a total psycho!
Sui Yu shifted away from her on the couch. So maybe the female lead’s later psychotic behavior wasn’t entirely a result of that scummy Alpha tormenting her. Maybe Shen Jueshu was just like this all along?
Sui Yu cursed silently. Who in their right mind would dare mess with someone like this?
In that moment, she completely lost interest in discussing responsibilities. Quietly sipping her water, she wiped the sweat from her forehead and gave a bitter smile.
Weren’t Alphas supposed to have the best physical condition in these novels? So why was she so exhausted just from taking a nap on the couch?
She glanced at Shen Jueshu. No wonder she was considered a top-tier Omega—her beauty and figure were flawless. It was no surprise the original Alpha went to such lengths to get her.
But now that Sui Yu had transmigrated here, she was facing a serious problem. The scummy Alpha’s family business was now entirely in her hands. As underhanded as that Alpha had been, she was still highly capable. Not only had she kept the company afloat, she had grown it even further. That said a lot about her skills.
Sui Yu, however, had none.
Back in her original world, she was just a researcher in a lab. All her time was spent conducting experiments or immersing herself in novels and anime. She had absolutely no knowledge of how to run a company.
She turned her gaze toward Shen Jueshu. Shen Jueshu had even more business acumen than the original Alpha—after all, she had managed to acquire the Alpha’s company within just three years, making her firm the leading powerhouse in the industry.
If Sui Yu were to manage the company herself, it would surely descend into chaos. But if she handed it over to someone else, she didn’t know enough about the other characters in this world to trust them. As for anyone loyal to the original Alpha? They likely weren’t competent enough to handle a company of that scale.
“Shen Jueshu, can I talk to you about something?” Sui Yu asked.
Shen Jueshu shifted her gaze from her book to Sui Yu’s face, adopting a listening posture. She was curious to see what nonsense Sui Yu would come up with this time.
Sui Yu cleared her throat and said, “How about I give you 20% of the shares and let you manage Suihe Group?”
She figured that based on the original plot, Suihe Group would eventually end up in Shen Jueshu’s hands anyway. Why not just hand it over now? That way, she could make life easier for herself and still keep some shares to secure her future. It was definitely better than ending up with nothing—and possibly locked in a basement.
Shen Jueshu’s expression turned serious. She said coldly, “Sui Yu, do you even know what you’re saying?”
Giving her 20% of the shares and full management rights—once Shen Jueshu had real power, there’d be no way for Sui Yu to take it back. In the end, changing the company’s name wouldn’t even be a challenge.
“I know exactly what I’m saying! I just think you’re more capable than I am. Right now, we’re still legally married, so what’s mine is yours—and what’s yours is still yours. Letting the more competent person take charge is just common sense,” Sui Yu replied sincerely.
Since she had fully entered this world—stepped right into a second dimension—she figured she might as well lean into it and stop trying so hard.
She, Sui Yu, was like a pile of mud that couldn’t stick to a wall. In her old life, she had no choice but to work hard to repay those who had helped her. She wanted to make their sacrifices feel worthwhile. But the truth was—she hadn’t been happy.
All she ever wanted was a place to escape from reality.
Shen Jueshu looked at her with a complicated expression. Countless thoughts flashed through her mind. Either Sui Yu had been reborn and was now truly terrified into madness, or she was setting a trap for her with some hidden scheme.
But the offer was simply too tempting.
“What’s the condition?” Shen Jueshu asked. If Sui Yu was willing to hand over that many shares and control of the company, there had to be some catch. She had to be asking for something in return.
“The condition is simple!” Sui Yu smiled innocently and said, “Just make sure I get my dividend every year.”
She had no financial sense and knew nothing about investing. She just wanted cold, hard cash in her hands—money to spend when she wanted to, or let it earn interest when she didn’t.
She had heard stories of how the daily interest of a wealthy person’s fortune could equal years of someone else’s hard labor.
Shen Jueshu: “…”
She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. The condition was both laughably simple and incredibly naive. After all, no company could guarantee profits—and dividends—every single year.
She had heard stories—how the daily interest earned by the rich could surpass what an average person made in years.
Shen Jueshu: “…”
She found it hard to believe Sui Yu had made such a request. It wasn’t entirely unreasonable, but it wasn’t easy either. After all, no company could guarantee consistent annual profits to support regular dividends.
“You’re that short on money?” she asked, unable to resist. Otherwise, why else would Sui Yu make such a demand?
Sui Yu nodded sincerely. To her, money only counted if it was actually in her hands.
Shen Jueshu: “…”
She started to seriously wonder if she had broken Sui Yu’s brain while tormenting her in the past. That would explain the bizarre behavior she was now witnessing.
“Fine,” Shen Jueshu agreed at last. If someone was handing her power and shares for free, she’d be a fool not to take them.
Seeing her agree, Sui Yu gave her a relaxed smile and headed into the bathroom to shower. She thought to herself: This move should at least earn me some points back, right? Maybe reduce some of her hatred?
While Sui Yu was feeling rather pleased with herself, Shen Jueshu, on the other hand, was frowning in deep thought. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Sui Yu’s request was far too simple. It wasn’t worth the heavy price she was paying. In fact, based on Sui Yu’s own abilities, she could easily achieve that goal herself—without giving away this much.
Clearly, she would need to keep a closer eye on Sui Yu going forward.
By the time Sui Yu stepped out of the bathroom, Shen Jueshu was already gone. Sui Yu paused, a string of question marks popping up in her mind. I just gave her all those shares, and she didn’t even bother to say goodbye?
She thought about it for a moment, but didn’t dwell on it. Her whole body still felt weak. Since Shen Jueshu was gone, she climbed into bed, pulled the covers over herself, and tried to sleep it off.
But the moment she lay down, she found herself becoming more awake instead of drowsy. The faint scent of Shen Jueshu on the blanket wafted up to her, and her cheeks flushed red. Am I… seriously acting like a pervert right now?
Still, she had to admit: Shen Jueshu’s scent was intoxicating. It should have been as clean and cold as snow, yet it carried a subtle, natural sweetness. The combination was both elegant and sharp—if it were made into a perfume, she’d buy out the whole stock.
Suddenly, she felt a heat building at the back of her neck. Reaching up, she touched the gland there—swollen and warm. She froze.
As someone well-versed in 2D worlds, she’d read her fair share of ABO novels. And in those stories, this kind of reaction was always the sign of impending heat.
A cold sweat broke out on her skin. She rolled out of bed in a panic and scrambled away from anything that still carried Shen Jueshu’s scent. But even that didn’t feel like enough. She threw open all the windows, hoping the dry outdoor heat might dispel some of the rising urge within her.
Still panting, Sui Yu clutched her neck, unsure whether what she was feeling was the start of an actual heat cycle—or just her thoughts running wild because of her environment.
She sniffed herself. Nothing.
According to the books, Alpha or Omega, their pheromone levels would spike during special periods. If she couldn’t smell anything, then maybe… it was nothing serious?
And yet, her body just kept getting hotter.
Meanwhile, Shen Jueshu flipped through the legal documents the lawyer had prepared. After confirming everything looked in order, she thanked him and left. But when she returned to the hotel suite, she immediately sensed something was off.
The cold air had all but vanished from the room, replaced by an ambiguous, indescribable scent.
One part of it was clearly Sui Yu’s pheromone—iris. But the other…
Her expression instantly turned ice cold.
This woman had the nerve to bring someone else into the room on the very first day of their marriage?
She quickened her pace.
If Sui Yu really dared to stage a live s3x scene in her hotel suite, she was going to find out exactly what kind of punishment that earned.
