Disappointing Teleportation Magic ~ Even Though The Movement Distance Is Only 1 Millimeter, I Will Rise Through Ingenuity ~ - Chapter 16.1
Note: This episode is from Araseli’s perspective.
When the boy sat down on the chair I had prepared, he covered his face with both hands and shook with sobs.
“Why… Why did this happen to me…?”
Just now, the boy had narrowly escaped being killed by a former comrade. Though the attacker might not have intended to kill, the wild eyes and swinging sword showed no signs of restraint.
Thump… thump…
A knock on the door made the boy flinch.
“It’s okay, the pursuers have been… taken care of,” I said.
“Ah… that’s a relief.”
Most likely, the three who had pursued him were lured into another building and killed, their bodies disposed of. The remaining two in the park would receive a severe warning from someone else.
If anyone laid a hand on the boy in front of me, they would lose their life next.
“Master Yuto, please have some tea.”
“Thank you.”
“I don’t think there will be any more attacks, but once you’ve rested a bit, let’s change clothes and return to the castle.”
“Understood…”
About twenty days ago, I was ordered by my superior to take care of this despondent boy. He had the potential to remove the curse mark of the Azure Darkness, so I was to guard and seduce him.
The curse mark of the Azure Darkness is known to be unremovable by any powerful healing magic. I couldn’t believe a boy who looked about five years younger than me could remove it, but if he truly could, it could drastically change the country’s state of affairs.
Prince Alberic, whom we support, has over half his face covered by the Azure Darkness curse mark. He is wise and gentle, possessing qualities far surpassing the arrogant second prince, Belnort. However, the curse mark hinders his succession to the throne.
If the mark could be removed, King Augusta would undoubtedly pass the throne to Prince Alberic. It is evident that Prince Alberic’s succession would benefit not only the nobles supporting the first prince but also the general public.
To achieve this, the boy must be protected and deeply drawn into the first prince’s faction. Boys of his age typically desire money, status, and sex.
I thought it would be easy to seduce him after a little withholding, but he was different from the ordinary boys I had in mind. Before performing the procedure on Prince Alberic, he was ordered to remove the Azure Darkness curse mark from a young woman.
The woman had a mark running diagonally from her right neck to her left thigh and bared herself completely to the boy for the procedure. At first, he was visibly flustered, but now he works silently.
A boy his age, given such a task, would normally become sexually frustrated. That’s likely why my superior ordered me to seduce him.
In reality, I could tell how much he noticed my chest. I also knew he relieved his accumulated desires by himself during baths.
However, what the boy sought from me was not my body, but knowledge. Summoned by the second prince’s faction from another world, he lacked general knowledge of this one.
The boy, who couldn’t return to his original world, wanted to acquire the knowledge needed to live here. At the same time, he was cautious not to easily get involved in the factional disputes between the first and second princes.
His attitude towards seeking knowledge was sincere, indicating he had received a high level of education. Moreover, he even considered rescuing the comrades who had called him a coward and driven him out of the dormitory.
A boy his age, upon gaining a unique power and becoming an important figure, would typically think of revenge against those who mistreated him. Yet, he seemed to plan to request the rescue of his comrades once he finished removing Prince Alberic’s curse mark.
Given that he was attacked by those very comrades, his disappointment must be profound. Now, except when occasionally sipping tea, he held his right hand to his forehead, deep in thought.
I quickly realized that the attackers were his former comrades. Their unfamiliar words were likely from their native country.
I couldn’t understand their conversation, but it was clear what they intended to do. That’s why a flame of anger ignited in my mind.
