We would lie naked on the bed and read travelogs, and if the mood was right, we would engage in intimacy.

After continuing this lifestyle for two days, I was taken out for a stroll inside the castle by Araseli.

Exiting the building, the sunlight was as strong as in summer, but the temperature didn’t seem to have changed much from the rainy season.

Wearing a thin long-sleeved shirt was just right, so it probably hadn’t even reached 25 degrees.

In Japan, large buildings like dome stadiums also have air conditioning and heating, but the castle grounds are many times larger than a dome stadium.

Being able to adjust the temperature manually over such an area is indeed beyond the norm, indicating that magic truly holds extraordinary power.

“It would have been easier for the guards if we didn’t leave the room, right?”

“That’s certainly true, but then the room wouldn’t get cleaned either…”

“Ugh… how embarrassing.”

We could just wash and change clothes ourselves, but the bedroom was in a terrible state.

“Where are we going?”

“I’m going to the barber.”

At the barber I was taken to, I had my hair, beard, and eyebrows trimmed.

In the Kingdom of Yurefelt, it’s common for men to grow beards.

Mine isn’t thick enough yet, but I left the mustache and chin beard unshaved.

The four guards accompanied us only to the entrance, and Araseli and I entered the garden alone.

“I see… It’s inside the castle.”

“Yes, and it’s the garden on the west side, so there’s nothing to worry about.”

In addition to the garden, there are many trees planted inside the castle grounds, most of which bear edible fruit.

In the garden, there are also flowers planted, many of which are medicinal herbs.

“The garden was developed during the time of the third king, Anselm, I heard.”

Inside the garden, ponds and streams were created to mimic hills and meadows.

Passing through a path where grass similar to Susuki swayed, we arrived at a gazebo by a small spring.

It was about the size of a tatami mat, with pillars at the four corners of the bench in a U-shape, and a thatched roof on top.

Since the temperature was adjusted by magic, just having the sunlight blocked by the roof made it feel quite cool.

It seemed to be a secluded part of the garden, as no sounds could be heard from the surroundings, and it didn’t feel like we were inside the castle at all.
