Disappointing Teleportation Magic ~ Even Though The Movement Distance Is Only 1 Millimeter, I Will Rise Through Ingenuity ~ - Chapter 19.2
The groan from one of the four intruders broke the frozen moment, bringing time back into motion.
When I looked in the direction of the voice, all four were staring at me.
Though their faces were hidden by masks, their wide eyes were filled with fear.
“U…uwaaaahhh!”
“Teleport!”
The moment one of the masked men raised his sword and shouted, I reflexively activated my severance teleportation magic. The man’s body, unable to support the weight of his sword, leaned forward and then fell backward, his torso sliced horizontally and spilling his entrails.
Another man, who had begun retreating, collapsed backward as his upper body fell while his lower body remained in place, his body bending at the waist. He fell on his back, crashing to the floor. The second teleportation magic had bisected all four men at once.
The third man’s upper body fell to the floor, leaving the fourth, desperately clutching his trousers with both hands to keep his upper and lower halves connected, but blood was relentlessly spurting from the cut. Even if the cut was sharp, once the spinal cord was severed, no signals could be sent to the lower half of the body.
“No, no…help me!”
The unbalanced man’s body fell to the side, and blood and entrails spilled from the gaping wound.
The upper halves of the four men on the floor tried desperately to reconnect with their lower halves or to push their entrails back in, but they soon stopped moving.
“Ugh…ugh…”
Coming back to my senses, I couldn’t bear the sight of the carnage I had caused and vomited bile.
“Lord Yuto… Lord Yuto, are you injured?”
“Ugh…I’m fine…”
“What was that?”
“It’s a magic I’m still testing… I took a chance.”
“I see… You saved us.”
“More importantly, your arm! We need to stop the bleeding.”
Araseli’s left arm was deeply cut, and blood was dripping from it.
“This is nothing. Let’s get dressed first.”
“Uh… right.”
The attack had interrupted us in the middle of an intimate moment, but now I was completely deflated. We hurriedly dressed, and as I wrapped Araseli’s left arm with cloth to stop the bleeding, a shrill whistle sounded from outside.
“An attack! We need reinforcements!”
The sound of running feet echoed, and lights were lit in the room.
“Oh god, what is this…”
The soldier who burst in stopped in his tracks at the sight of the carnage.
“Lord Yuto is safe. Please take us to a secure location.”
“Understood. Wait here until reinforcements arrive.”
Afterwards, I was surrounded by eight guards and led to another room. It appeared to be a guard’s quarters.
There was a bed, a small desk, and a chair. A ventilation window was set into the far wall, too small for a person to pass through. The room was larger than the one I had used when I was moved to a menial position, and the furnishings were of higher quality, but it still felt like a cell.
“For tonight, please rest here.”
“Thank you.”
“The corridor and the perimeter are under strict security, so please rest assured.”
