“Yuto, over here. We’re going to the shoe store first, so decide on a color.”

“Really? It’s easier to match clothes to the shoes?”

Tariq walked briskly toward the shoe store.

In Japan, a man dressed entirely in green would stand out, but here, he wasn’t particularly unusual, so it was easy to lose sight of him.

I followed Tariq while glancing at the people passing by, still undecided about what color to choose.

“Here we are, Yuto. This is my recommended shoe store. What color will you choose?”

I never thought I’d be asked what color I wanted at a shoe store.

The storefront was crowded with brightly colored shoes, varying only in color and size, with the same shape for all.

It made sense to ask about the color in this case.

After some thought, I decided to go with a vibrant orange, following the local custom.

This means that instead of coordinating my outfit based on my mood, I would have to match my outfit to the amount of stuff I needed to carry that day.

While shopping, I noticed many people in the town with their faces covered, leaving only their eyes visible, similar to Muslim women.

It was probably due to some religious rule or something, but what was interesting was that not only women, but some men also covered their faces.

There were even couples with both partners hiding their faces, and I wondered how they managed to date.
