Disappointing Teleportation Magic ~ Even Though The Movement Distance Is Only 1 Millimeter, I Will Rise Through Ingenuity ~ - Chapter 36.3
The bed was a bit small for two people, so I held Araseli from behind as we slept. The battle had been life-threatening, with many moments where death seemed imminent, but we had fulfilled our mission and survived.
With many of our concerns resolved, the weight on my shoulders lifted, and I fell into a deep sleep. Having the warmth of someone I loved in my arms contributed greatly to this.
However, our peaceful, deep sleep was shattered by the shouts of soldiers.
“A wyvern! A wyvern has returned!”
Araseli woke up in my arms, immediately got out of bed, and stood up.
“I will check the situation. Yuto-sama, please continue to rest.”
“No, I’ll get up. This isn’t a situation where I can sleep peacefully.”
“Understood, but first, let me check the situation. Please wait here.”
“Alright.”
It was probably the wyvern that had fled this morning returning. The thought of having to face another life-threatening situation was overwhelmingly depressing, but if it was just one wyvern, we should be able to take it down with Mauro’s team and my severing transfer magic.
As I stretched and did squats to loosen my bruised body, Araseli returned with a serious expression.
“What’s the situation with the wyvern?”
“Yuto-sama, the wyverns have increased to four.”
“What? Increased?”
“Yes, it seems the one from this morning has joined with three others and is heading back towards the royal castle.”
Even though we had lost many of our best knights, they had gained three reinforcements—this was absurdly unfair.
