Disappointing Teleportation Magic ~ Even Though The Movement Distance Is Only 1 Millimeter, I Will Rise Through Ingenuity ~ - Chapter 44.1
“Damn it, let go of Saed! Transfer, transfer, transfer!”
“Gah!”
I repeatedly cast severing transfer magic towards the eyes of the wyvern that had captured Saed in its jaws of death. It seemed one of the spells hit its mark.
The wyvern let out a short scream and dropped Saed from its mouth.
“Shh!”
Seizing that moment, Mauroni ran towards the wyvern and swung his saber like lightning.
Mauroni aimed for the base of the wyvern’s wings.
It was the equivalent of the armpit in a human, but he only managed to cut a few scales, not causing significant damage.
However, while Mauroni was distracting it, Radin ran up and carried Saed back.
“Hang in there, Saed!”
“Ugh, don’t…worry…about…me.”
The metal armor Saed was wearing had been crushed to half its original thickness where the wyvern’s powerful jaws had bitten. Blood was gushing out from the wounds made by the wyvern’s fangs, and it was a miracle he could even speak.
“Get down!”
At the sharp warning, I was pulled down by Araseli. The wyvern, thinking it was still at a distance due to Mauroni’s distraction, swung its wings along the ground, sending debris flying towards us.
With a tremendous noise, the wall behind us was destroyed, leaving a hole. The large metal shield Radin had been holding was bent from the impact.
“Mauroni-sama!”
When I stood up at Radin’s shout, I saw Mauroni kneeling with his saber stabbed into the floor. He had been hit by the earlier sweep at close range and couldn’t avoid the debris.
“Don’t worry about me, flee!”
Mauroni sternly ordered, but the wyvern spread its wings, cutting off his escape, and charged at him.
“Damn it!”
I dashed towards the wyvern as if starting a beach flag race, but stumbled over debris and fell forward.
“Reach! Transfer!”
From my fallen position, I cast severing transfer magic towards the wyvern’s right leg, which was closest to me.
“Graaargh!”
Blood spurted from the right leg, and although the wyvern lost balance slightly, it fell onto Mauroni, attempting to crush him with its body.
“Mauroni!”
“Yuto-sama, stand up!”
Pulled up by Araseli, I got to my feet just as the wyvern also rose. However, its movements were sluggish.
“Yuto-sama, the wyvern’s belly…”
“Ah, the saber hilt!”
In the light now coming from outside, we could see two hilts sticking out from the wyvern’s belly. Mauroni, realizing he couldn’t avoid the collision, had used the wyvern’s weight to deeply stab his sabers into its belly.
Mauroni lay motionless on the floor.
“Yuto, let’s finish it. Help me!”
“Yes!”
Radin threw away the bent shield and picked up Saed’s greatsword, holding it with both hands.
The other wyvern had its arms severed and could no longer fly.
We could defeat it with time and fire.
