Disappointing Teleportation Magic ~ Even Though The Movement Distance Is Only 1 Millimeter, I Will Rise Through Ingenuity ~ - Chapter 45.3
Fortunately, the underground bath was still usable, so Araseli and I washed off the sweat, dust, and caked blood together.
Since I still hadn’t recovered enough blood, I didn’t feel any romantic urges despite being with a naked Araseli.
Or rather, is this only temporary?
I hope I don’t end up not getting better for the rest of my life…
After getting out of the bath and changing into clean clothes, I felt refreshed.
Eating a sandwich made with wyvern meat in the dining room, I felt my condition improve.
“Araseli, what about the quarters we were using?”
“Yes, fortunately, they were spared from the wyvern’s damage, so we can continue using them as before. Shall we return?”
“Yeah, we need to clean up here as well, right?”
“Yes, this place will be sealed off again until the next emergency.”
The underground space, though safe, required strict sealing because the path from the castle to the facility at the base of the plateau had to pass through military facilities.
After finishing our meal, I borrowed Araseli’s shoulder again and slowly walked back to the quarters.
When I emerged onto the surface, I was surprised to see that it was evening, even though I thought it was morning.
Apparently, I had been sleeping for over a full day since my wounds were treated.
Seeing the quarters meant for foreign dignitaries, I felt a sense of returning and that it was all over.
At the same time, memories of Mauroni, who had passed away, flashed through my mind.
Once my condition improves, I’ll start the saber training that Mauroni taught me.
No matter how hard I try, I probably won’t measure up to Mauroni, but by putting in the effort and improving, I can honor his memory.
The quarters were still guarded by soldiers, but they were different faces from before.
“Umino-san… Kikui-san and Hasunuma-san too.”
“Welcome back, Kirikaze-kun. We have also been assigned to live here…”
“Eh…”
I looked at Araseli in surprise, and she nodded back with a slightly dissatisfied expression.
Apparently, Alberic decided it was better to house Umino-san and the others here since preparing separate quarters for them on short notice was not possible, and they needed guards anyway.
There were enough unused rooms, so space wasn’t an issue… but it seemed my long-awaited cozy life with Araseli might become more challenging.
Well, at least we don’t have to share the bedroom, so I suppose we can deal with it.
“Got it, let’s get along from now on. But what will happen when all our classmates return?”
When I mentioned our classmates, Umino-san’s expression turned pained.
“What’s wrong?”
“Well, Kirikaze-kun… we don’t know the whereabouts of our classmates.”
“What? Why?”
“Lord Yuto, I will explain that. Please come upstairs.”
Araseli took over the conversation from Umino-san and suggested we go to the second floor to continue the explanation.
