Disappointing Teleportation Magic ~ Even Though The Movement Distance Is Only 1 Millimeter, I Will Rise Through Ingenuity ~ - Chapter 60.1
The next morning, when I woke up, Umino-san was no longer in bed.
I wondered if it had been a dream, but the pillow still carried the scent of a woman who wasn’t Araseli.
While I was feeling confused, Araseli entered the room.
“Good morning, Yuto-sama.”
“Good morning, Araseli. So… are you okay with this?”
“I heard Kazumi’s resolution…”
“Her resolution…”
“Kazumi has decided to live alone in Yurefelt.”
“What…?”
Last night, as we held each other in bed, she had said over and over again how lonely she was, begging me not to leave her, not to abandon her.
Because of that, I had started to consider taking her to Fulmelinta.
I went to the bathroom, took a cold shower to clear my head, and then headed to the dining hall.
Umino-san and the other two were already seated.
“Good morning, Kirikaze-kun. Sorry you had to see me in such an embarrassing state yesterday.”
“Huh…?”
“What’s wrong? Don’t you have procedures today? If you take your time, you’ll be late.”
“O-Oh…”
Umino-san spoke to me as if nothing had happened. It felt like I had been tricked by a fox, but the slight blush on her cheeks told me that last night wasn’t just a dream.
“Resolution, huh…”
“Yes, I’ve made up my mind. So, Kirikaze-kun, you must also brace yourself and do your best in Fulmelinta.”
“Of course, I intend to.”
“You know, Kirikaze-kun, I talked with Araseli-san last night, and if you go to Fulmelinta, you should consider marrying a daughter of one of the influential figures there.”
“Huh? Marriage? But I’m with Araseli…”
“I know. I know you love Araseli-san. But if you’re serious about building a position in Fulmelinta, forming ties with a powerful family might become necessary.”
“But I don’t want anyone but Araseli…”
“Then why did you sleep with me last night?”
Umino-san, Araseli, and even Kikui-san and Hasunuma-san were all giving me stern looks.
I was truly in a situation where I was surrounded on all sides, and it was a mess of my own making.
“Yuto-sama, I know you plan to take me to Yurefelt as your wife, but could you not take me as merely a maid?”
“That’s not happening. I’m taking you as my wife.”
“But someone like me being your wife… It would make it difficult to form ties with Fulmelinta’s elite…”
“I don’t care. I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t care. You can blame me as much as you want for what happened with Umino-san last night, but I will not abandon you just to form a connection with some elite in Fulmelinta. Call it naive, but I don’t care what anyone says—my only wife is Araseli.”
If Araseli, a commoner, becomes my legitimate wife, then anyone I marry next would become the second wife.
The daughters of the nobility would likely resent being placed below a commoner, making it harder to form connections.
But that doesn’t mean I want to treat Araseli like a concubine.
Araseli is already an inseparable part of me.
“I know it might be tough, but I want you to come to Fulmelinta as my legitimate wife.”
“Yuto-sama… Yes, with pleasure.”
