Divorcee O Finds Me Irresistible - Chapter 28
On Friday afternoon, Xu Qing used her downtime at work to attend a job interview at a nearby construction company. Passing by Fu Shuang’s workplace, she texted her girlfriend to ask if she was busy.
“I’m okay for now,” Fu Shuang typed back quickly. “Just finished interviewing two candidates. Should be able to slack off for a bit. What’s up?”
“I’m passing by your office and wanted to see you,” Xu Qing replied.
Fu Shuang cleared her throat and glanced around. Seeing no one noticed her slacking off, she continued typing, “Where are you?”
Xu Qing took a photo and sent it to Fu Shuang, showing her standing right outside Fu Shuang’s internship company.
Fu Shuang jumped up abruptly, the loud movement drawing attention. She lowered her head, mumbled an apology, grabbed a few tissues, and pretended to head to the restroom.
Then she practically sprinted toward Xu Qing.
Fu Shuang’s company was a well-known real estate developer. The surrounding office buildings were all company assets, but the firm only occupied two floors for its own offices, renting out the rest.
In recent years, the global economic crisis had kept office occupancy rates low. As Xu Qing rode the elevator up, she encountered hardly anyone, at one point even wondering if she had the wrong address.
Yesterday, while strolling through the park with her girlfriend, Fu Shuang had mentioned work. Xu Qing casually asked about her company and was quite surprised—first, because Fu Shuang’s company was one of the top firms in the country, and second, because she was working as a human resources assistant.
Xu Qing worried that Fu Shuang’s confrontational nature might accidentally drive some humble job applicant into social withdrawal.
Watching Fu Shuang emerge from the office in a smart blazer, Xu Qing couldn’t help but be impressed. “Heavens, you look stunning,” she exclaimed.
Fu Shuang pursed her lips, her meticulously applied makeup accentuating her features as she studied Xu Qing. Suppressing a smile, she teased, “We just saw each other this morning. What’s gotten into you? You’re being so sweet, it’s like you’ve blossomed into a sugar flower.”
“I’m learning how to be a better partner,” Xu Qing replied, raising an eyebrow with a hint of pride as she pulled out the coffee she’d brought. “The AI recommended praising my partner more. And I heard that if you finish your coffee before 3 PM, the caffeine will be metabolized by 10 PM, so it won’t affect your sleep.”
Logical, well-reasoned, and overwhelmingly sweet.
Fu Shuang took the coffee, leaned in to smell the aroma through the lid, and exclaimed in delight, “It’s my favorite mocha flavor! Older Sister, you know me so well! Why did you buy two cups?”
Xu Qing smiled. “Bringing just one cup back to my desk wouldn’t look good to my colleagues, would it? The other cup is for your manager. You said she’s been really good to you, right?”
Xu Qing had even considered such minute details for her. Fu Shuang was deeply moved, suddenly wondering if she had found a girlfriend or a mother—
She was just too thoughtful.
“You’re right, treating my manager would be perfect,” Fu Shuang said, taking the coffee. She held the paper bag suspended in front of her knees with both hands, unable to resist the urge to give Xu Qing a kiss as a thank you.
Xu Qing watched her adorable, eager expression, even noticing her hesitate and rise slightly on her toes. The bow on her platform shoes crinkled slightly, like a powder-blue butterfly fluttering its wings before settling back down.
Fu Shuang tightened her grip on the paper bag, glancing around nervously, afraid of being seen. A faint blush crept up her cheeks.
Fucking adorable.
If they weren’t standing in front of the company entrance, Xu Qing would have pinned Fu Shuang against the wall and kissed her fiercely, just to see her face flush crimson and her breath catch in her throat.
Xu Qing swallowed hard, raised her hand, and gently ruffled Fu Shuang’s hair. “Go get back to work,” she said softly. “I won’t keep you.”
Fu Shuang nodded, her cheeks flushed crimson, her voice a soft, tearful “Mmm.”
Xu Qing: “……”
Leaving Fu Shuang’s company, Xu Qing stood in the cold autumn wind for a while, still reeling from that single “Mmm.”
She replayed it in the elevator, on the street, and even during her job interview, that soft, delicate “Mmm” lingered in her mind.
Xu Qing had always been a self-disciplined, proper, and rule-abiding person. Yet, for that brief moment, her mind had conjured up a torrent of depraved thoughts that shocked even herself.
It was as if a dark, hidden personality lay locked deep within her, desperate to possess that delicate, pitiful Omega, to mark her scent glands as her own, to greedily extract pheromones from her body, and to hear her soft gasps grow increasingly breathless.
This thought lingered in Xu Qing’s mind for a long time. When HR asked why she wanted to change jobs, Xu Qing thought: To get a higher-paying job, earn money for my girlfriend to spend, see her delighted face when she receives red envelopes, and make her even happier when she’s being affectionate in my arms.
Her thoughts wandered wildly, but her words were meticulous, even earning nods of approval from the HR representative.
No one at work knew she was job hunting. This had to be kept secret, especially from Director Li next door—that old witch was practically Madam Min’s spy.

Xu Qing couldn’t imagine Madam Min’s reaction if she found out Xu Qing was abandoning her stable, promising position to work for a private company with an uncertain future. The shock might literally kill her.
After the interview, Xu Qing returned to work like a thief, wrote a report assigned by her supervisor, and had barely a few minutes of downtime before her locked-away personality resurfaced, seizing her thoughts once more.
There was no doubt about it: she was sick. She missed her little girlfriend terribly after just a short time apart.
Xu Qing checked her phone for messages every few minutes. She had deliberately pinned her girlfriend’s chat to the top, so every glance at her phone would immediately show that adorable cat avatar.
Though their chat history was sparse—only a couple of pages long, and Xu Qing had read it so many times she could recite it by heart—she was always hoping for something new.
As work drew to a close, a red notification dot finally appeared on the cat avatar. Her Omega girlfriend had messaged first: “The coffee is delicious! (*^__^*)”
This was followed by a cat emoji making a heart with its paws, so cute Xu Qing almost imagined the cat as her dazzling girlfriend.
Xu Qing held her phone, staring at the message for a few seconds before replying, “Careful you don’t stay up all night.”
Fu Shuang replied instantly, “I’m not scared!”
Her messages came in bursts, as if she were blurting out whatever came to mind. Before Xu Qing could respond, Fu Shuang sent several more messages in quick succession:
“I’ve never had insomnia!”
“Of course not.”
“If Older Sister can’t sleep, she can come find me in the middle of the night.”
“I also have a sleep-aid function (#^.^#)”
Xu Qing read these words, her bl00d rushing to her head. She didn’t just want to sleep with Fu Shuang; she wanted to keep her awake all night!
What kind of reply wouldn’t sound creepy?
Xu Qing stared at the cursor blinking in the text box, hesitating for ages. Before she could type anything, the top of the chat window changed to “The other party is typing…”.
Xu Qing: “!”
Her girlfriend was being this forward, and Xu Qing was still being coy? What kind of pathetic behavior was that?
Her hand trembling, she typed back: “Okay.”
This time, it was Fu Shuang who took forever to reply.
What does “Okay” mean?
Is she ending the conversation? Or… is she really going to come find me in the middle of the night?
Fu Shuang felt like she’d dug a hole and buried herself in it.
She wasn’t one for false modesty. If she had physical needs, she’d satisfy them frankly. They were both fragrant girls; a little rubbing wouldn’t hurt. Even a temporary mark wouldn’t cause any problems, as long as she didn’t get pregnant.
Fu Shuang stole a moment from her busy day to consult her phone, reading Omega netizens’ shared experiences of their first marking. One user described it as, “Like opening a box of chocolates—the taste and flavor might vary, but overall, it’s incredibly delicious.”
Another wrote, “The moment I was marked, the only thought in my head was, ‘I want to have his babies,’ even though I’m a man.”
Fu Shuang found this strange. Could the urge to have children really be a sexual impulse?
At six o’clock in the afternoon, most of the company was still working overtime. Fu Shuang surreptitiously packed her things, ready to slip out at any moment.
Just then, her manager approached her. “Can you come in for overtime tomorrow?”
Fu Shuang had a piano lesson tomorrow afternoon. If she were truly desperate to convert her internship into a full-time position, she might have canceled the lesson to work overtime. But now, she suddenly felt uncertain. Was this job really worth giving her all?
It was just an ordinary job anyone could do well. As an Omega, she’d been lucky to get hired in the first place, so she should work even harder.
Fu Shuang thought for a moment before replying, “I’m free until 2 PM tomorrow. If I have to work overtime, I can only stay for four or five hours.”
The manager smiled warmly. “That’s more than enough. Finish up your tasks tomorrow morning, and you can leave in the afternoon.”
Fu Shuang breathed a sigh of relief. “Alright, I’ll come back tomorrow morning to help. If there’s nothing else, I’ll head home now.”
“Go ahead,” the manager said, patting her shoulder and gesturing with his coffee cup. “Thank your girlfriend for me.”
Fu Shuang blushed and lowered her head shyly. She hadn’t realized such a simple gesture like buying coffee could be so effective in pleasing her superior.
She couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming affection for her Alpha girlfriend.
The chat history had stalled at the Alpha’s ambiguous “Okay.” Fu Shuang sent a new message, as if turning the page: “I’m off work!”
The reply came almost instantly: “I’m downstairs at your company.”
Fu Shuang sent a cat emoji with heart eyes, grabbed her bag, clocked out, and hurried to the hallway to wait for the elevator.
Xu Qing’s motorcycle stood out conspicuously. Young people passing by couldn’t help but stare, and one man even approached her, filming a short video while trying to strike up a conversation.
The man had delicate features, his chin even sharper than a girl’s, and wore makeup that made him look like one of those influencers you often see on short video platforms. He held a phone mounted on a stabilizer, filming Xu Qing with a clattering sound. He smiled ingratiatingly and said, “Older Sister, your bike is so cool, and you’re even cooler! Can I take a photo with you?”
Xu Qing saw Fu Shuang emerge from the office building and, losing interest in the male influencer, stood up and said, “My girlfriend just got off work. She’ll get jealous if she sees this.”
The influencer protested, “It’s just a photo, Older Sister! Is your girlfriend really that pretty?”
Fu Shuang heard the man calling “Older Sister, Older Sister” from afar, her brow furrowing into a frown. But seeing her Alpha girlfriend’s impatient expression, she decided not to bother with it.
“I have ten million followers across all platforms,” the influencer said with a smile. “Older Sister, just do me a favor, okay?”
Xu Qing handed Fu Shuang her helmet, not bothering to glance at him again, and helped her onto the back of the motorcycle.
Xu Qing started the engine, the roar of the engine making the influencer instinctively take a few steps back.
Fu Shuang wrapped her arms around Xu Qing’s waist as she sat behind her, flashed a triumphant grin at the influencer’s camera, and stuck out her tongue in a playful grimace.
