Don’t Mess With Him, His Seven Senior Sisters Are Too Fierce - Chapter 13:
Chapter 13: The Ye Family’s Treasure Must Not Be Touched!
“You’re laughing at me?”
“What’s so funny?”
Lin Zixuan was completely confused. Did he say something wrong?
“It’s nothing. Let’s eat.”
At that moment, Head Chef Zhang Baiwei led a group of chefs over and served a series of signature dishes in order. Then, they all bowed to Ye Tian.
“Please enjoy your meal.” With that, Zhang Baiwei and his team respectfully left.
Holy hell—this kind of treatment, this level of honor—it was unreal!
Lin Zixuan felt like his soul was ascending. He was basking in glory. He imagined his name appearing in tomorrow’s Zhongdu Youth Daily.
He was over the moon, pulling Li Muqing and Ye Tian into his bragging spree again as they dined.
The meal lasted two hours, ending with Lin Zixuan’s loud laughter.
“Hahaha, the food at Tianhe Flavor is just too damn good! I’m definitely coming again next time!” Lin Zixuan said boldly, reaching out to grab Li Muqing’s hand, only to be met with a fierce glare.
“Lin Zixuan, keep your filthy hands to yourself. I’m not one of those foot massage girls.”
Ye Tian, who had been quietly enjoying his food, gave Li Muqing a deeper look after hearing her sharp retort.
He hadn’t expected her to be such a strong-willed woman—assertive and unafraid of speaking her mind.
After getting shut down, Lin Zixuan was visibly embarrassed.
“Li Muqing, I didn’t mean anything weird. I just wanted to invite you to tonight’s auction.”
“An auction?”
“Yeah, the Sima family up north is hosting an auction of ancient artifacts. There’s supposed to be some rare items.”
“Even if we don’t buy anything, it’s good for young people like us to broaden our horizons.” As he spoke, he pulled out a flyer and handed it to Li Muqing.
“Ye Tian, are you interested?” Li Muqing passed the flyer to Ye Tian.
This woman!
Seeing himself ignored, while the goddess handed his hard-earned auction invite to that bumpkin in front of him, Lin Zixuan was fuming.
That invitation had taken a lot of effort from his grandfather to acquire—yet she acted like it was nothing and gave it away right in front of him.
Li Muqing, don’t think just because you’re pretty that I won’t get angry!
Lin Zixuan swore silently: once I get this woman, I’ll make sure she gets a full dose of me every night, Viagra and all!
“I’m not really…” Ye Tian took the flyer and was about to say he wasn’t interested. But his eyes suddenly caught something familiar.
A simple, ancient horizontal saber, placed at the center of the auction flyer.
Ye Tian’s fists tightened involuntarily.
The Ye Family’s Saber!
Legend had it that his ancestor, a general who fought off Japanese pirates, had wielded this very saber in countless battles. The blade had been nurtured by his qi for years and was said to have developed a blade spirit.
Only the most outstanding member of each Ye generation could draw it.
The weak, or outsiders, could never unsheath it.
This saber had once been enshrined in the Ye Family’s ancestral hall, placed alongside their ancestors for worship. After the fall of the Ye Family, its whereabouts had become unknown.
Who would’ve thought it would appear now, on an auction flyer?
Disgraceful. Utterly disgraceful!
“Heh…”
“Go? Of course, I’ll go.” Ye Tian let out a cold laugh, a wave of unseen pressure radiating from him. Lin Zixuan felt a chill run down his spine.
“Uh… haha, guess the treasure caught your eye!” Lin Zixuan forced a laugh, still trying to sound smug. “Well, you know, you mountain folks probably haven’t seen anything like that before…”
“Shut up!” Li Muqing snapped, cutting him off.
“Let’s go now!” Ye Tian lifted his head, eyes bloodshot.
…
Sima Family Auction Hall.
“Everyone, please enter in an orderly manner. The auction will begin shortly!”
The current head of the Sima family, Sima Lin, slicked-back hair and a sleek black suit, stood at the podium directing the crowd.
In the past five years under his leadership, the Sima family had risen rapidly in the antique market, dominating the scene and becoming one of Zhongdu’s elite families.
Tonight, with several rare artifacts set to be unveiled, Sima Lin planned to personally host the event.
“Not bad at all,” praised an elderly man seated in the crowd wearing a four-clawed python robe. It was Sima Chun, the former head of the family. His presence made it clear how significant this auction was.
Before the auction even began, Sima Chun reclined in his grand chair and asked with his eyes closed,
“I’ve heard a rumor lately—that the Ye Family’s boy is still alive and back in Zhongdu. Is it true?”
A black-clad guard behind him replied,
“There’s no confirmation yet. I’ve already dispatched men to investigate. If it’s true, I’ll take care of it personally.”
The old man nodded in satisfaction.
“Good. The stray dog from the Ye Family cannot be allowed to live. His return would seriously threaten our Sima family’s growth.”
“I understand.”
The auction began.
With booming entry music echoing throughout the hall, Sima Lin introduced the first item.
“This painting, Splendid Rivers and Mountains, is a masterwork from the court painter Master Wu. Among his life’s work, this piece ranks among the best.”
“As for Master Wu’s artistic status, I doubt I need to elaborate.”
“Starting bid: 1.2 million!”
The moment the words left his mouth, the hall exploded in action as bidders raised their paddles, driving the price up rapidly.
Many young heirs urged their assistants to call home and pull funds immediately.
Meanwhile, Lin Zixuan, Li Muqing, and Ye Tian sat quietly in a corner.
“It’s not that I don’t want to bid, Muqing—you know I don’t care for flashy things. I’m just here to learn.” Lin Zixuan laughed.
In truth, due to his laziness and reckless spending, his grandfather had cut off his monthly allowance. He barely had a hundred grand left—how could he possibly afford to bid? It wasn’t about taste—it was about being broke.
He even pointed toward the man in the center wearing the python robe.
“Muqing, look—that’s the previous head of the Sima family. Impressive, huh?”
“They say he’s lived a legendary life—a real big shot. Just look how calm and composed he is. If I could have a chat with someone like him, it’d be such a great learning opportunity.”
Li Muqing didn’t even bother responding.
This auction was packed with premium items, so the competition was intense. Even bidders outside the venue participated, creating a frenzy.
Just that first Splendid Rivers and Mountains painting was sold for a sky-high price of 6.6 million!
And that was just the appetizer!
A few antique porcelain items followed, each fetching over ten million!
…
Lin Zixuan kept showing off, pretending to be familiar with every artifact as if he’d held each one in his hands. Li Muqing only responded with a cold smile.
Ye Tian sat quietly, not saying a word.
“Finally, the main event of the night!” Sima Lin’s face was visibly excited after auctioning off several high-value pieces. He brought out a saber stand from backstage and lifted the red cloth covering it.
“This is an ancient treasure blade. It once belonged to a mighty general who used it to slay thousands of Japanese pirates!”
“Experts will recognize this blade at a glance.” As he spoke, Sima Lin smiled mysteriously, leaving the rest unsaid.
Many nobles in the audience chuckled knowingly.
“So, the Sima family is finally willing to let it go.”
“They’ve hidden it for five years—finally got the guts to auction it off.”
