Don’t Mess With Him, His Seven Senior Sisters Are Too Fierce - Chapter 8:
Chapter 8: Critically Ill Li Shanhe
Zhang Shihao was crippled. Wang Chengjie had both his legs broken. Chaos erupted in the venue.
“He’s gone mad!”
“Call an ambulance, quick!”
In the blink of an eye, the crowd turned into a disorderly mess.
Amid the commotion, Ye Tian calmly smiled, turned around, and extended a hand to Li Muqing in the distance. “Let’s go somewhere quiet and talk?”
“I… okay.”
Li Muqing’s face was pale. Clearly, she had never witnessed such a violent scene before. And with everything that had happened, she no longer had any desire to marry that scumbag. Leaving was the better choice.
Seeing this, Gu Qingcheng raised a flirtatious brow. Her gaze at Ye Tian carried a hint of teasing affection. “Good little brother, your big sister won’t stay here and be the third wheel.”
“If you ever need to find me, just ask Manyun. One call, and I’ll come running.”
With that, she turned and left on her own.
The Zhou sisters also left in a hurry after leaving their contact information, saying only that something had come up at home.
Soon, only Ye Tian and Li Muqing—now changed into casual clothes—stood at the hotel entrance.
“I heard from the Zhou sisters that the reason you agreed to marry that guy was to convince the miracle doctor to treat your father’s illness… Is that true?”
Ye Tian broke the silence.
His words struck a painful nerve in the girl’s heart.
She nodded slightly, her beautiful eyes brimming with tears, bitterness welling up in her chest.
But before Li Muqing could speak, she heard Ye Tian’s gentle voice again. “To tell you the truth… I can cure your father.”
“What?” Li Muqing’s eyes widened, filled with disbelief. “You… you really mean it? You can really cure my father?”
“You’ll know if it’s true once you see it for yourself,” Ye Tian replied with a confident smile and a raised brow. “Come on. Take me to see your father.”
“Yes!!”
…
Zhongdu – The Li Residence
At the bedside.
A middle-aged woman in luxurious clothing sat at the edge of the bed, carefully wiping the arm of the man lying there.
The man was gaunt, with sunken cheeks and skin stretched tight over bone. It was clear he hadn’t eaten properly in days. Just a glance, and anyone could tell—he didn’t have long left.
This man was Li Muqing’s father—Li Shanhe.
And the woman beside him was her mother, Yin Huijuan.
“Cough… cough…” Li Shanhe lay on his back, mouth opening slightly as if he wanted to say something, but he didn’t even have the strength to make a sound.
“Don’t push yourself, dear. Miracle Doctor Zhu just stepped out to take a call. He’ll be back soon to treat you,” Yin Huijuan said, trying to comfort him.
Just then, a middle-aged man with a goatee entered the room, carrying a medical case.
“Doctor Zhu!” Yin Huijuan stood up respectfully.
This was none other than the famed miracle doctor of Zhongdu—Zhu Hanchun.
“I can’t treat him. You’ll have to find someone else,” Zhu Hanchun said coldly, and turned to leave.
Yin Huijuan froze.
“Why? Didn’t you say earlier that you could treat him?”
“Why the sudden change?”
Zhu Hanchun sneered.
Of course he could treat him! He had originally come at the request of the Zhang family—specifically, Zhang Shihao, who wanted to win over the Li family by curing Li Shanhe.
But just moments ago, he received a call from the Zhang family.
Li Muqing had not only rejected the wedding in public, but had also called in some unknown punk who beat Zhang Shihao into a coma!
The Zhang family was furious. Their patriarch had roared with rage over the phone.
Zhu Hanchun no longer had any reason to stay.
“Doctor Zhu, please! I beg you, just take another look. Maybe my husband still has a chance!” Yin Huijuan rushed forward, grabbing his arm, pleading with all her might.
“If he dies, the Li family will fall apart!”
“Heh. If the Li family falls apart, then so be it,” Zhu Hanchun snorted. “With a daughter like that, what great fortune your family must have!”
He then told her everything that had happened at the wedding.
“She rejected the marriage in public, injured my nephew, and now you expect me to treat Li Shanhe?”
“Hah! Let him lie there and wait for death!”
“What?!”
Yin Huijuan collapsed to the ground in despair. Her face was ashen. “That’s impossible… Qingqing has always been such a good girl. She would never do something like that…”
“If you don’t believe me, ask your daughter when she gets back. I won’t waste any more time here. Hmph!” Zhu Hanchun waved his hand and prepared to leave.
“No need to ask. We’re already here.”
A warm, cheerful voice rang out from the doorway.
“If you’re unwilling to treat him, someone else will.”
Ye Tian stepped into the room, with Li Muqing following closely behind.
“Li Muqing, how could you?!” Before Zhu Hanchun could speak, Li’s mother erupted, furious. “That’s your father! Are you trying to kill him?!”
“Get over here right now and kneel to Doctor Zhu! Apologize!!”
“M-Mom…”
Li Muqing trembled, instinctively about to move her long, slender legs—only to be pulled back by Ye Tian.
“Where did this brat come from? Let go of my daughter!” Yin Huijuan’s face twisted with anger as she glared at Ye Tian. “Get out of here now!”
Without stopping, she turned back to Zhu Hanchun, resuming her sycophantic tone. “Doctor Zhu, I’m truly sorry. My daughter is young and naive. I’ll discipline her right away. She’ll personally go take care of Shihao.”
“When he recovers, we’ll hold the wedding again.”
Zhu Hanchun snorted in disdain.
“Regret now? It’s too late!”
Hearing that, Yin Huijuan panicked and desperately clung to his sleeve to beg for another chance—but Ye Tian laughed beside them.
“Heh. You have the skill of a doctor but none of the virtue. Just another quack.”
“If you won’t treat him, then leave. I’ll treat Uncle Li myself.”
“You?!”
“You?!”
The outbursts came simultaneously—one from Yin Huijuan, the other from Zhu Hanchun.
“Hahahaha…” Zhu Hanchun laughed so hard he clutched his belly. He pointed at Ye Tian as if he’d heard the funniest joke in the world.
It took a while before he could speak again.
“You look barely twenty. You probably haven’t even finished puberty. What are you—some Western medicine intern or a dropout from traditional medicine school?”
“Even if you did study medicine, you wouldn’t have finished your internship yet! And you think you can perform surgery? Treat someone’s illness?”
“What a joke!”
“Exactly!” Yin Huijuan echoed, scolding furiously. “Young as you are, acting like a big shot! Do you even know who this man is? That’s the famous Doctor Zhu of Zhongdu!”
“You don’t even recognize him, yet you claim you can cure people?”
With a wave of her hand, she shouted toward the doorway:
“Someone! Break his legs and throw him out! Make sure it’s far!”
In an instant, a group of family guards stormed in, surrounding Ye Tian from all sides.
