Dressed as the Scumbag Alpha Mom of the Tragic Female Lead (ABO, GL) - Chapter 47
Chapter 47
When Gu Lingjun reached for her key at the door, she realized she was still wearing Jiang Chuxie’s jacket. Wrapped in its warmth and coffee scent, she hadn’t noticed until now.
Though she could return it tomorrow, Gu Lingjun decided to take it back now.
“I understand, no issues here for now…”
As Gu Lingjun left the Omega area, the security guard at the entrance was speaking into his walkie-talkie.
Catching bits of the conversation, she asked curiously, “Is something happening?”
“Miss Gu,” the guard recognized her instantly, as only she and Zhao Zi were staying in the area, “the snow’s getting heavy, and the roads between the resort and the city are impassable for now. It’s an emergency, so management notified staff to step up security measures.”
“The roads are blocked? Any idea when they’ll reopen?”
“Based on past incidents, probably not until tomorrow noon at least.”
Snowplows prioritized city roads, so the resort would take longer. Fortunately, Gu Lingjun’s group had just arrived and wasn’t in a rush to leave.
“I see, thanks.”
“Miss Gu, where are you headed this late?”
Gu Lian had coordinated with the hotel, and the staff had been instructed to keep an eye on Gu Lingjun. Uncle Wu had also made arrangements upon their arrival.
“I’m returning a jacket to a friend I came with. We both forgot about it.”
“Oh…” The guard considered his orders and suggested, “How about I go with you, Miss Gu? You’re the only one in the area now, and my duty is to ensure your safety.”
Gu Lingjun looked surprised and instinctively wanted to decline, but she quickly realized the guard wasn’t being nosy—it was his “duty.”
Money moved mountains, and her mother’s influence was everywhere.
“Then I’ll trouble you.”
She had no plans for anything with Jiang Chuxie, so having someone tag along didn’t matter. As for the annoyance of being watched, she didn’t need to take it out on the guard.
It was late, with heavy snow and howling winds outside. The hotel was brightly lit but eerily quiet.
To get from the Omega area to Area A, you had to pass through Area B. As Gu Lingjun reached Area B, she suddenly caught a strong, familiar, yet unusually intense coffee-scented pheromone.
“Miss Gu?”
Seeing Gu Lingjun speed up, the guard hurried to follow, but she’d abandoned her ladylike demeanor, breaking into a run.
The hotel’s layout, shaped by the hot springs, had scattered rooms and a maze of pathways.
This time, Gu Lingjun didn’t bother with signs, chasing the pheromone’s source by scent alone.
Jiang Chuxie struggled to stand, leaning on walls and door handles. Her racing bl00d felt like it would shatter her brain and heart.
In her blurry vision, she saw Yu Wen, limp and motionless on the floor, and the man who’d ambushed her, now weakened by the suppressant, crawling away with what little strength he had left.
Her eyes bloodshot, face flushed, she gasped heavily, trying to figure out what to do next.
Her heart burned with endless anger, regret, and despair, but stronger still was her body’s desire. She desperately wanted to punish the escaping man, to know who’d set her up, to unleash her fury on him.
Yet her gaze kept drifting to Yu Wen—the only Omega present.
Though his heat was suppressed, his lingering pheromones were still overwhelmingly tempting to her in this state.
Her mind was consumed by one relentless thought, filled with uncontrollable, restless, terrifying instincts.
Every cell in her body seemed to scream, her most irrational, primal urges pushing her to act on her Alpha nature.
Jiang Chuxie had never experienced such a horrifying loss of reason. No matter how she tried to focus, that single thought dragged her back.
Call for help, go to the front desk, or…
Or what?
She fumbled for her phone, tried to move toward help, but her eyes and senses greedily fixated on Yu Wen.
She was disgusted by herself, yet even that disgust seemed to fuel her desire.
Sweat and tears dripped from her jaw. She wanted to scream to release the suffocating frustration and pain, but her open mouth only produced silent gasps.
She was Jiang Chuxie, twenty-six, an… an Alpha… she was an Alpha.
Like a dragon drawn to treasure, Jiang Chuxie, breathing heavily, stumbled toward Yu Wen.
Her body brimmed with strength, craving attack, destruction, sin, and ruin, yet her trembling limbs disobeyed. Her muscles spasmed, her legs moving mechanically under a nearly instinct-driven brain.
“You see, I said we wouldn’t need to step in,” someone in a room, watching through the peephole, boasted to their partner. “No idea who that guy was, but he saved us a lot of trouble. Yu Wen’s a useless idiot, almost forcing us to act ourselves.”
The other replied, “We went all out this time. If this fails, even the president won’t let us off easily.”
“Heh, fail? No Alpha could resist at this point…”
Before he finished, a dull thud came from outside. They rushed to look, only to bump heads.
“Idiot!”
The male Beta shoved his partner aside, peering through the peephole, but only caught Jiang Chuxie’s back as she staggered around a corner toward Area A, leaving Yu Wen at his open door.
“What happened?”
“Damn it!” The Beta, furious, reached for the door. “Jiang Chuxie’s like a rock in a latrine—stinking and stubborn! Let’s grab her back.”
“She got away? Won’t that cause a scene?”
The other hesitated, but the Beta snapped, “What are you scared of? Area B’s empty now. Grab her before anyone notices. I refuse to believe we can’t force her!”
He was about to charge out when, through the cracked door, he heard rapid footsteps and a man’s voice.
“Miss Gu, what’s…” The guard, confused by Gu Lingjun’s urgency, followed her, only grasping the situation’s severity after rounding the corner.
A male Omega lay in the hallway, and a suspicious figure seemed to be fleeing.
“Area B, mid-section, Room 312, we have a situation. Send backup immediately!”
The guard quickly radioed for help. Gu Lingjun, still running, shouted, “Don’t let that person get away!”
Jiang Chuxie’s pheromone was unprecedentedly intense, markedly different from normal. Gu Lingjun didn’t believe Yu Wen and that man’s presence was coincidental, and her worry for Jiang Chuxie grew.
“Miss Gu, wait—”
The guard feared for her safety but couldn’t leave the two alone before backup arrived.
“Don’t worry about me!”
Not seeing Jiang Chuxie, Gu Lingjun knew she’d left on her own—otherwise, why would Yu Wen still be there? Her only concern now was how badly Jiang Chuxie was affected.
The Alpha pheromone was so potent it made her dizzy, each breath making her body hotter.
“Senior…”
She prayed only that Jiang Chuxie was okay.
Jiang Chuxie knelt before a door, clothes disheveled, panting, expression dazed.
One hand clutched the doorknob, the other held a key, but she couldn’t insert it into the lock.
Her last shred of rationality urged her to get inside. Locking herself away was simpler than calling for help in her state.
But even those few steps had drained her remaining reason. Her swollen forehead rested weakly against the door, the key scratching marks around the lock, unable to find its target.
Everything was chaotic and agonizing, her brain melting, intense desire and impulses conjuring hallucinatory delusions.
She banged her head against the door, hoping pain would spark some clarity. But the fleeting logical thoughts were only curses and condemnation of this world.
Better to have died back then…
This world didn’t deserve to exist…
Alpha, Omega, Beta—better if they all perished…
Beyond desire, her thoughts were consumed by negativity.
The key, aimless, scraped harshly across the door.
Someone… save her?
“Senior!”
Seeing Jiang Chuxie’s state, Gu Lingjun froze for two seconds, stunned, until Jiang Chuxie let go of the door, trying to shed her shirt. Snapping out of it, she rushed toward her.
So hot!
Before touching Jiang Chuxie, Gu Lingjun felt the feverish heat radiating from her.
Jiang Chuxie looked like she’d been pulled from water, her face streaked with sweat and tears, saliva dripping from her jaw from prolonged open-mouthed breathing.
Her pale skin was flushed crimson, veins bulging on her forehead, a purplish bruise slowly seeping bl00d.
The moment Gu Lingjun touched her, Jiang Chuxie let out a low, hoarse sound—part comfort, part unbearable pain.
Gu Lingjun’s heart raced. Though not marked by Jiang Chuxie, the intense pheromone briefly muddled her thoughts.
“Ugh…”
Like a desert traveler finding an oasis, Jiang Chuxie leaned toward her.
It was the scent of freesia.
Fresh, elegant, gentle floral notes enveloped her, as if she stood in a sacred place.
In her blurry vision, a figure appeared—enticing fragrance, soft skin, a lovely face. Even Narcissus, Helen, or Aphrodite born from seafoam couldn’t compare…
Amid Jiang Chuxie’s chaotic thoughts, this familiar, usually illogical praise seemed startlingly clear.
Her body shuddered, and after inhaling so many Omega pheromones, she regained a sliver of clarity.
It was Gu Lingjun, now flushed, pinned against the doorframe by her.
“Senior…”
Gu Lingjun didn’t struggle—though, even if she wanted to, she was no match for Jiang Chuxie’s strength.
Being held, enveloped by Jiang Chuxie’s desire-laden pheromones, Gu Lingjun felt a flicker of instinctual fear.
No matter how much she liked Jiang Chuxie, she didn’t want their relationship to happen like this.
Not when they hadn’t fully opened up to each other, not when her parents still held such prejudice against Jiang Chuxie, not when Jiang Chuxie… hadn’t even decided to accept her.
But she could see Jiang Chuxie’s pain, her restraint. The resort had no hospital, and with the snow blocking roads, even an ambulance couldn’t help her effectively.
If this was the only way to help her senior, she’d rather it not be someone else.
“Not in the hallway.”
At those words, Jiang Chuxie seemed to snap awake, shoving Gu Lingjun aside.
“Go…”
In her state, she couldn’t explain more, only mumbling to urge Gu Lingjun away. Still clutching the key, she used this moment of clarity to fumble with the lock again.
But her explosive muscles were uncontrollable, the key probing aimlessly, unable to find the slot.
The drug had fully overtaken her, making even this small obstacle infuriating.
Her fist slammed the door, venting all her pain. Being seen like this by Gu Lingjun added a layer of gloom to her failure.
“Senior, let me help.”
Seeing her struggle, Gu Lingjun sighed softly, reaching for the hand holding the key. Jiang Chuxie’s burning skin contrasted sharply with Gu Lingjun’s cool palm, as if highlighting her suffering.
“…”
Jiang Chuxie wanted to ask why Gu Lingjun hadn’t left, if she knew what was happening, why she wasn’t scared.
But she couldn’t form a complete sentence, her senses fixated on Gu Lingjun’s touch.
(This is really about unlocking a door, please check the context, mods—no innuendo here!!!)
Gu Lingjun gently guided her hand to the keyhole. When the key slid in and turned with a soft “click,” Jiang Jiang Chuxie’s nerves relaxed.
She could lock herself in soon. She wouldn’t hurt anyone.
“Senior, I’ll help you inside.”
Gu Lingjun held her hand, trying to lift her from the floor, but Jiang Chuxie raised an arm, pushing her away.
“Go—”
Her body, leaning against the door, fell inside from the push, and she crawled into the room.
Gu Lingjun paused, hearing a door creak nearby, and followed her in.
Jiang Chuxie stumbled and crawled into the bathroom.
Gu Lingjun carefully locked the door, lingered at the entrance, then headed toward the bathroom.
From a distance, she heard water and heavy panting. Unlike Jiang Chuxie’s usual cool or gentle tone, her voice now was a low growl, like a giant feline.
The room was thick with coffee—slightly sour, bitter, yet sweet, growing richer and sweeter.
Gu Lingjun stood at the bathroom door for a while, not out of hesitation or regret, but because the sound and scent briefly stole her ability to think.
Jiang Chuxie was just inside, and from her sounds, Gu Lingjun knew what she was doing.
But she heard no joy or comfort in her voice—only endless pain and reluctance.
In that moment, Gu Lingjun wondered if she shouldn’t interfere, if leaving Jiang Chuxie alone would preserve her last shred of dignity.
But reason quickly dismissed the thought. In this state, leaving her alone could be dangerous.
After some time, the sounds quieted, but the water kept running, and Jiang Chuxie showed no sign of coming out.
“Senior?”
Sensing something was wrong, Gu Lingjun called softly, but got no response.
Slightly panicked, she touched her flushed cheeks, took several deep breaths, and calmed down.
“Senior, I’m coming in.”
She gripped the handle, and hearing no reply, pushed open the bathroom door.
“Ugh—”
The moment it opened, an even denser pheromone scent flooded out, the sensory overload nearly buckling Gu Lingjun’s knees.
Though unmarked by Jiang Chuxie, she was still heavily affected.
She quickly flipped on the bathroom’s exhaust purifier, but the sealed space didn’t clear fast, especially with the pheromone source still present.
“Senior!”
The deluxe suite had top-tier amenities, including a small hot spring in the bathroom. But Jiang Chuxie wasn’t in it—the water sound came from the glass-enclosed shower.
Gu Lingjun faintly saw a figure against the glass wall, and rushing in, found Jiang Chuxie slumped inside.
“Senior!”
The bathroom was freezing—no steam at all. Gu Lingjun could tell the shower was spraying cold water.
Jiang Chuxie wore only a white shirt, her pants and belt tangled at her ankles, binding her feet. One hand was tied to a pipe with a towel.
Her eyes closed, body slumped between the wall and glass, held up only by the towel binding her wrist to the pipe.
Gu Lingjun shut off the cold water and crouched to check her.
“Mmm—”
Jiang Chuxie moaned at her touch, eyelids fluttering. Her heart still raced, her body’s urges unquelled—this blackout was more like a halftime break.
Gu Lingjun fought the pheromone’s effects, checking Jiang Chuxie’s forehead wound and pulse. In her delirium, Jiang Chuxie leaned toward her again.
Seeking an Omega was an Alpha’s instinct.
“Senior.”
Gu Lingjun took a deep breath, gently holding Jiang Chuxie’s battered body. The Alpha, radiating aggressive restlessness, looked pitifully helpless.
“Woo…”
Jiang Chuxie whimpered weakly, unconsciously nuzzling Gu Lingjun’s neck, instinctively chasing the pheromone scent from her glands.
Urgent yet cautious.
Gu Lingjun nearly melted in the coffee aroma. She’d always rejected other Alphas, yet from the moment she met Jiang Chuxie, she’d been drawn to her.
She softly brushed Jiang Chuxie’s soaked hair behind her ear, carefully kissing her forehead wound.
“Senior, do you know who I am?”
Jiang Chuxie nodded chaotically, mumbling, “Gu, Gu Lingjun…”
Gu Lingjun was pleased she still recognized her.
“Then, do you like me?”
Tears streamed from Jiang Chuxie’s eyes as she strained, mouth half-open, toward her neck, seeking pheromone comfort.
“You like me too, don’t you?”
Gu Lingjun gently covered her mouth, raising her voice slightly. Jiang Chuxie nodded quickly, whispering, “Like… Gu Lingjun is, is Jiang, Jiang Chuxie… no, is my wife…”
Gu Lingjun burst out laughing. Wife? That’s a bit fast, isn’t it?
But maybe not far off.
“What about Yu Wen? Do you like him?”
At Yu Wen’s name, Jiang Chuxie froze, trembling violently, her teeth chattering.
“No, no Yu Wen… don’t come near him… Yu Wen, he’s bad…”
Gu Lingjun was even more satisfied with this answer.
“Do you like any other Omegas?”
“O-Omegas… no Omegas, don’t want…”
Though she said no, Jiang Chuxie still pressed toward Gu Lingjun.
Gu Lingjun gently stroked the gland on her neck, her tone full of affection, sighing softly, “But you can’t do without an Omega now. Since you’ve already decided I’m your wife, it’s only right that I help you.”
“Woo…”
“No other Omegas, but Gu Lingjun is okay, right?”
Jiang Chuxie seemed to shake her head, but Gu Lingjun, cradling the back of her head, murmured enticingly, “Gu Lingjun is fine, isn’t she?”
Jiang Chuxie finally nodded, calling her name in a frenzy.
“Gu, Gu Lingjun… Gu Lingjun…”
Hearing her urgent, soft voice, Gu Lingjun felt her own mind falter.
“Senior, this is your reward—for your endurance, persistence, and integrity. So don’t be sad… I like you.”
Her voice was heavenly, and even in her delirium, a voice in Jiang Chuxie’s mind told her she liked Gu Lingjun too.
