Dressed as the Scumbag Alpha Mom of the Tragic Female Lead (ABO, GL) - Chapter 59
Chapter 59
Gu Lingjun didn’t know why, but when she was with Jiang Chuxie, her sense of shame seemed to vanish. Perhaps it was because she liked Jiang Chuxie so much, or maybe because Jiang Chuxie got embarrassed more easily, which made teasing her so enjoyable.
She loved the overly pure aura Jiang Chuxie exuded and the flustered look she got when teased. Gu Lingjun had come to realize her preference: rather than passively receiving, she enjoyed taking control.
She wasn’t sure if this preference developed because of her feelings for Jiang Chuxie or if it made her like Jiang Chuxie even more, but there was no need to dwell on it now.
“Gulp…”
Gu Lingjun heard a loud swallow. Just from that one sentence, Jiang Chuxie was already so nervous she didn’t know what to do with her hands or where to look.
“I-I just… just…”
“Just?”
How should she put it? In Gu Lingjun’s eyes, Alphas were a bunch who only cared about enjoying the moment and ignored the aftermath. Especially in an established relationship, no Alpha would bother with contraception. Leaving as many offspring as possible was a biological instinct, and Alphas, to Gu Lingjun, retained more animalistic traits than the other two genders.
Moreover, society constantly encouraged having more children, and Alphas didn’t bear the burden of childbirth. So why would most of them even think about it?
Jiang Chuxie’s reaction was remarkably rare, especially since she hadn’t been fully清醒 at the time.
“I just don’t know…” Jiang Chuxie averted her gaze slightly, her face full of hesitation, “if I can control myself… I-I don’t want to hurt you.”
Under Gu Lingjun’s warm and主动 touches, Jiang Chuxie had gradually stopped fearing such intimacy, but she still worried about losing control if they went further.
The intense, wild, uncontrollable sensations she’d once felt lingered in her body, her nerves. At first, just seeing Gu Lingjun, feeling her simple touch, or smelling the scent of orchids would trigger her body’s response like flipping a switch.
Fear and joy mixed together, emotions detached from reason, her body seemingly beyond her mind’s control.
She knew she’d have to get used to it eventually, but she wasn’t sure if she was ready now.
“It’s okay, we can take it slow.”
Gu Lingjun couldn’t forget the image of Jiang Chuxie crying in distress even amidst intense pleasure. She understood how deeply losing control scarred someone as disciplined as Jiang Chuxie.
“And you’ve never hurt me, and you won’t hurt me now.”
Jiang Chuxie inhaled the scent of Gu Lingjun’s pheromones, feeling much calmer. Whether it was her imagination or a shift in her mindset, she felt Gu Lingjun’s pheromones had grown more mature and fragrant lately, soothing her heart.
She believed that with Gu Lingjun by her side, she could overcome these psychological shadows.
“Lingjun…”
After all, she was already kissing Gu Lingjun more naturally now.
Jiang Chuxie leaned down again, aiming for Gu Lingjun’s lips, but an untimely sound interrupted them.
Miss Gu’s face rarely turned red, and after a brief pause, Jiang Chuxie couldn’t help but hug her tightly and burst into laughter.
“Why didn’t you say you were hungry earlier? It’s getting late; I’ll make dinner.”
They’d been talking for so long that it was almost mealtime.
“No laughing!” Gu Lingjun lightly tapped her arm, pouting, “This never happened to me before…”
Having her stomach growl so rudely was a first for the refined Miss Gu.
“My fault for not keeping track of time. If you’re hungry, grab a snack first. I’ll start cooking now.”
Jiang Chuxie rarely laughed so freely, and after her initial embarrassment, Gu Lingjun couldn’t help but join in.
“It’s your fault. Your cooking is too good. After breakfast, I think about lunch; after lunch, I think about dinner. I’ve gained weight lately.”
Jiang Chuxie looked at her face. “Where? You’re still so slim. It’s winter, and you’re wearing thicker clothes, so you feel that way.”
“No, I really gained weight. My measurements and weight have gone up.” Gu Lingjun sighed, “My appetite’s bigger, and it’s all your fault.”
“You were too skinny before. It’s good to put on some weight for winter. Or maybe you’re still growing?”
“Don’t say ‘put on weight’!”
Jiang Chuxie got up, chuckling. “Alright, alright, I’ll cook… but don’t eat less because of the weight gain.”
“I won’t…”
Rather than dieting, she’d think about exercising. After all, Jiang Chuxie made the meals, and she couldn’t bear to eat less.
“Oh, in a couple of days, I’ll take you to meet two people,” Jiang Chuxie said, her voice drifting from the kitchen as if she’d just remembered. “One you know, Officer Zhang Luping.”
“Is the other his wife?”
Gu Lingjun recalled their conversation outside the courthouse, remembering Zhang Luping’s wife was the owner of the café where Jiang Chuxie worked.
“Yeah. During past holidays, they’d invite me over. I told them about us, and they want to meet you.”
Gu Lingjun vaguely knew Jiang Chuxie had a strained relationship with her parents, so these two were likely like family to her.
“Great, I’m looking forward to meeting the Sister Liu you mentioned.”
“Here you are!” Zhang Luping, wearing an apron, greeted them at the door. Seeing Jiang Chuxie and Gu Lingjun, he laughed heartily. “Chuxie, you two finally made it. Your Sister Liu’s been nagging about it so much my ears are calloused.”
“Brother Zhang,” Jiang Chuxie said, leading Gu Lingjun inside while asking curiously, “are you cooking today?”
“Heh, I’ve been practicing, and my skills are decent now. At least while Wen… for now, I’m in charge of cooking,” Zhang Luping grinned, scratching his head. “Actually, we have good news to share.”
Curious, Jiang Chuxie followed him to the living room.
Liu Wen was on the sofa and, seeing Jiang Chuxie and Gu Lingjun, eagerly called out, “Chuxie, you’re finally here! Come introduce your girlfriend to your sister.”
Jiang Chuxie stared at Liu Wen, then, after a moment, exclaimed in surprise, “Sister Liu, you’re pregnant?”
She’d been so busy with everything, and Liu Wen was busy too, so they hadn’t met in nearly six months. Liu Wen was noticeably rounder, her belly visibly swollen, at least five or six months along.
“Haha, yep!” Zhang Luping was even more excited than Liu Wen, beaming. “Found out two months ago. Wanted to tell you then, but you… we decided to wait until you were settled.”
Two months ago, Jiang Chuxie was dealing with that incident, and Zhang Luping, working at the police station, knew all about it. He’d pulled strings to help, or even with Zhuang Qi hounding the police, they wouldn’t have tried so hard.
“That’s great news! Oh, I didn’t bring a gift for the baby!”
Jiang Chuxie was thrilled for them. They weren’t young, and Liu Wen was a bold Omega who’d started her own business and worked hard. They married later, so they planned to have a child soon after.
“Hey, the kid’s not even born yet. What gift?” Liu Wen grabbed both Jiang Chuxie and Gu Lingjun, pulling them to the sofa. “You two being here is enough. Chuxie, introduce her already.”
“Oh, right,” Jiang Chuxie said, feeling a bit shy. This was her first time formally introducing Gu Lingjun. “Sister Liu, Brother Zhang, this is my girlfriend, Gu Lingjun. Lingjun, this is my honorary sister, Liu Wen. She owns the café I worked at. Call her Sister Liu like I do. And you know Officer Zhang Luping, her husband. Call him Brother Zhang like me.”
Gu Lingjun embodied her refined upbringing, elegant and polite yet warm. “Sister Liu, Brother Zhang, thank you for inviting me and Chuxie today.”
