Dullard Buddy-kun: Heading Reluctantly to School Again Today - Episode 80

Sigh, I’m exhausted.

For now, I’ll just pretend to read a book on my desk during this break to pass the time.

Even so.

I think it’s already gotten really hot. The gym class earlier was hell.

Clearly abnormal weather. Even now, the glaringly hot sun is beating down strongly on the classroom.

In both good and bad ways, the real summer is just around the corner.

Well, considering that there’s summer vacation, from my perspective, it definitely has a strong positive connotation.

Even so.

“Speaking of summer break, that reminds me…”

This morning, there was a letter in the mailbox inviting me to a summer prep school course.

Because they said it was free, I do remember taking a mock exam in the past.

This time, is the course free too?

It said something like “we will accept you as a special student,” but things like that, once you’re in, you’re in for good. In the end, it probably ends up costing a lot more money, right?

Well, never mind.

For now, it’s only been two years. Honestly, I don’t feel the need for many things right now.

Besides, if any of those guys from this school are around, it would ruin my precious summer vacation and make it a complete mess.

“And then, there was one more… A letter addressed to me. If I remember correctly, that was…”

I think it was an envelope from a certain internet TV station.

Since I didn’t have time, I didn’t check inside regarding that, but it was probably a promotional letter for a one-month free trial or something like that.

And. It’s completely unrelated to what I was thinking about earlier, but I’m glad.

Just so you know, even now, in my eyes, the figure of a certain boy in the hallway is still visible.

That’s right.

Tanaka-kun.

I’m still using crutches, but finally, starting today, I’m going back to school.

But, I wonder what it is.

Tanaka-kun is whispering something with Yamamoto-san in the hallway, but of course, from this corner of the classroom, I can’t tell what they’re talking about.

What I understand is that Yamamoto-san had a surprised expression at Tanaka-kun’s words. That’s all.

Come to think of it, I also saw Tanaka-kun talking to Shibuya-san this morning.

“Tanaka-kun…”

Right after coming back, you seem busy with something I don’t quite understand.

All things considered, it’s just great to see you looking well.

“Mamiya-kun, what book are you reading this time?”

“Hani-san…”

Lately, I feel like my neighbor has been talking to me a lot.

By now, just looking at this usual scene, anyone would know that I’m a total loner at this school…

Is this… an act of mercy?

Well, I’ve already realized that this person is not someone who is harmless to me.

Sometimes they have an incredibly scary expression, but of course, no one can be smiling all the time.

No problem.

That being said, what should I really do this year?

Summer vacation.

Well, maybe just a part-time job.

Haha, anyway, the summer vacation where you can legally take a long break from school.

Anyway, nothing special is going to happen or be done.

I can’t wait.
