- Dumped by One, Chased by Another? My Ex's Sister Is a Gal and She's Coming for Me
- Episode 51 - At the Ayase House
“Once again, my name is Kengorōu Akishima. I’m currently in a relationship with your daughter, Haruki.”
We were in the detached guest house of the Ayase family.
Inside sat three people.
The first was, of course, me—Kengorōu Akishima.
Today, I had come not only for my usual tutoring job but also to formally make this announcement.
The second person was Haruki.
She sat next to me, also in a formal seiza position.
Since we were at the Ayase residence, her outfit was much more modest than usual.
She had once told me that her everyday clothes and her date outfits were quite different.
Personally, I think she looks adorable either way.
“Nice to meet you again. I’m Setsuko Ayase, Haruki’s mother.”
Across the small tea table from us, also seated in seiza, was Mrs. Setsuko Ayase.
Unlike usual, she was dressed formally, complete with makeup.
She exuded a presence that was worlds apart from her normally gentle demeanor.
“Just kidding,”
she said with a sudden smile, and the tension in the room softened instantly.
“You startled me for a second there.”
“Hehe, sorry for scaring you.”
“You were super nervous, weren’t you, big bro?”
“Of course I was…”
Watching the mother and daughter giggle together, I couldn’t help but feel the pressure lift from my shoulders.
“Once again, please take good care of my daughter. She can be a little odd sometimes, but she’s truly a good girl.”
“Well, I can definitely agree with that.”
“Big bro?”
Becoming a gyaru to help someone she cared about—how many people would even think of that, let alone go through with it?
Only Haruki would. That’s probably why I fell for her in the first place.
“Haruki’s always been there for me, so I just want to support her in any way I can.”
“How humble. You know, she’s always relied on you, Kengorōu-kun. Even back when she was preparing for high school entrance exams…”
“Mooom!”
Haruki turned bright red and leaned toward her mother in protest.
“Hehe, sorry, I got carried away.”
“You always do that!”
Was it really something she didn’t want me to know?
Well, I guess that’s not entirely surprising.

“Now then, I’d like to set some ground rules regarding your relationship with Haruki.”
“Yes, of course.”
I nodded.
I’m 22. Haruki is 17.
The age gap alone is considerable—and when I first dated Fuyumi, the circumstances on my end were different.
“First, no overnight stays until Haruki graduates from high school. Also, your relationship must never interfere with her studies.”
“That’s perfectly reasonable.”
It was only right.
Haruki is still a minor—and she’s also a student preparing for university entrance exams.
Those come first, without question.
Naturally, any physical intimacy was out of the question.
If she were to become pregnant before the exams, it would be an irreversible disaster.
Although, one could argue whether pregnancy during college is acceptable, it seemed the Ayases believed that once she entered university, such matters would fall under her personal responsibility.
“Also, if you break any of these rules, you will never be allowed to see Haruki again.”
“I understand.”
I accepted her words without hesitation.
“And one more thing. This time, there’s an additional condition.”
“What is it?”
Things were different now, in many ways.
So, it made sense that there would be new conditions.
I ran through several possibilities in my head.
And then—
“It’s about Fuyumi.”
“!”
Her answer was completely unexpected.
“If you would rather not speak about her, that’s okay. This isn’t a condition we’re placing on you, Kengorōu-kun. It’s a condition we’re placing on ourselves.”
“‘Ourselves’?”
I understood that she meant herself—but who else?
Before I could finish the thought—
“Excuse me.”
The sliding door opened, and a middle-aged man entered the room.
With white hair slicked back and sharp glasses, he had an austere presence.
His name was Tokishirōu Ayase.
Haruki’s father.
Tokishirōu sat down beside Setsuko in perfect seiza posture.
“It’s been a while, Kengorōu-kun. Haruki seems to have been in good hands with you.”
“Y-Yes, sir.”
The sheer pressure he emitted made me straighten my back.
“I’d like you to listen carefully, Kengorōu-kun.”
“Yes, sir. What is it?”
Mrs. Ayase took a deep breath, looked me straight in the eye, and spoke.
“You are never to have contact with Fuyumi again. That is our condition—or rather, our vow.”
