Chapter 6: New Residence
It was still summer vacation, and Liao Guiyun didn’t have to go to school. He had made plans with friends to play tennis. But just as he was about to leave, an uninvited guest stopped him – it was Lu Xuezhou’s girlfriend, Yu Han.
They usually only interacted when they were with Lu Xuezhou and their other friends, and had never met privately before. Today, she had come to him directly, and her purpose was obvious.
“If you have something to say, say it. I need to leave soon.”
Liao Guiyun took off the expensive watch on his wrist, put on the strap, and moved at a leisurely pace, exuding an air of nonchalance. His slightly curled hair was meticulously styled, appearing fluffy yet sharp in the light. Combined with his classic black and white sportswear, he radiated an air of unattainable elegance.
How could such a person take interest in someone like Yu Fu?
A hint of jealousy flashed in Yu Han’s eyes, but she quickly covered it with a friendly smile. “I’m here to play matchmaker. My sister – she’s taken a liking to you.”
She intentionally paused, making it sound quite suggestive.
But Liao Guiyun seemed to have not heard, his sharp brows relaxed and the corner of his mouth curving up in a familiar smile. “Too many people have taken a liking to me. She doesn’t understand, you’ll have to tell her.”
Yu Han’s smile stiffened slightly, but she still tried to maintain a calm demeanor. “I’ve told her, I said it’s aiming too high. But this girl is single-minded, she fell for you at first sight. No matter how much I persuaded, it was useless. Now she’s asked me to relay a message, wanting to get to know you better.”
Liao Guiyun had doe eyes that made him appear quite approachable, and his smile only enhanced this impression. He raised his brows slightly. “How does she want to get to know me?”
Yu Han took out a room key from her bag and handed it to him. “You two can meet in person and discuss the details. I won’t listen in on the specifics.”
Liao Guiyun took it, looked at it, and chuckled, “Sister provides the hotel room key for the sister.”
At this, Yu Han’s heart skipped a beat, but she quickly recovered her composure. Looking at him directly, she said bluntly, “Aren’t you a pure-hearted boy? Don’t act like you’ve never seen the world. You’re known for all kinds of things outside – pool parties, beach chasing, notorious womanizer, one of the most promiscuous in the circle.”
“Then why are you introducing your own sister to me?”
Liao Guiyun’s gaze was lazy, but it held a forceful presence that pierced straight to the heart. Yu Han had to look away, almost reluctantly muttering, “Who else can I blame but her for liking you.”
Before leaving, Yu Han reiterated, “Tonight at 7 o’clock, she’ll be waiting for you there.”
Liao Guiyun gestured for the maid to see the guest out.
On the way back, Yu Han sat in the backseat of the car, the corners of her mouth curled up in a smile that wouldn’t go away. The driver in front, seeing the young mistress smiling like that in the rearview mirror, couldn’t help but ask curiously, “What has you so happy, Miss?”
Yu Han’s mouth twitched slightly, but thinking about it, it was indeed a pleasing matter. She gave the elderly driver a haughty glance and snorted, “You wouldn’t understand even if I told you. Just focus on driving.”
At home.
When Yu Fu woke up, she didn’t see any of the Yu family members. Only the maids were bustling about the villa, some cleaning, others in the kitchen making desserts. She was used to not eating breakfast, and now in this new residence, she simply poured herself a glass of water and went to the living room to read a book.
The lock on the door clicked, and Yu Han had returned.
Yu Fu stood up to greet her, but Yu Han came straight towards her. Her expression was calm, which could already be considered a good attitude. “I have a gathering this afternoon, you’re coming with me.”
“…”
She didn’t want to go, but didn’t dare to say so.
Seeing her silent, Yu Han sat down on the sofa opposite, casually playing with her phone. “Mom and dad told me to take you out more, that’s why I came to get you. If you don’t want to go, just tell them directly, and they won’t have me bring you along anymore in the future.”
Yu Fu couldn’t bring herself to refuse again, and finally nodded, “I’ll go…”
Yu Han finally smiled, looking up at her. “You’re obedient, and that’s how our relationship will be good.”
