Chapter 7: Sleep With Her
The party was filled with women, but they came on strong. Yu Fu’s glass never stopped being refilled, one after another. They all surrounded her in the name of being Yu Han’s friends, enthusiastic and hard to refuse. Halfway through, she went to find her sister, wanting to say she wanted to go home, but before she could get the words out, a new glass was thrust into her hand.
Yu Han reassured her, “Don’t worry, you’re drinking fruit wine, it’s very low in alcohol content.”
Gradually, Yu Fu’s entire body flushed red, especially her cheeks. She felt like there was a steaming hot steamer underneath her skin, fumes billowing out. The alcohol slid down her throat, cup after cup, and her vision became hazy. The raucous laughter around her faded to nothing until she could hear no more.
The party ended, and the friends left. Only Yu Han remained in the private room. She sent a message to Yuan Yi.
Yuan Yi was kept busy every day – debt collection, car modifications, hacking systems… Any job that was well-paid and prestigious, he wouldn’t turn it down. The only thing he didn’t make money from was indulging women. He knew clearly that Yu Han relied on his fondness for her, summoning him as she pleased.
He really didn’t know when this pathological “doting” would come to an end.
After washing his hands, Yuan Yi drove to the bar address Yu Han had given him. As soon as he stepped inside, he saw the figure of a woman lying across the sofa. She was wearing a white halter dress today, a delicate black ribbon tied in a bow at her neck, accented with layers of pure lace. The smooth fabric clung tightly to her waist, the skirt hem stopping at the top of her thighs, exposing a vast expanse of her pale, creamy legs.
Now drunk, her pose was not as graceful as usual, her legs softly hanging over the side of the sofa, yet straight as if sculpted from cheese, exuding an artificially crafted, delicate whiteness.
Yuan Yi’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he approached her.
The woman sprawled on the sofa was unconscious, her long hair disheveled and spilling over her face, obscuring her breathing. He felt a pang of resignation, leaning down to gently brush the hair from her face. But when the dark tresses were swept aside, an unfamiliar face was revealed.
Yuan Yi’s heart skipped a beat.
A crystal-clear voice sounded from behind him. “Do you like her?”
He turned around. The shadowy figure stepped forward, her meticulously made-up face bearing a smile. “If you like her, I’ll leave. Once the door is closed, you can do whatever you want.”
From the moment he realized it was the wrong person, a nameless irritation had been churning in Yuan Yi’s heart. Now, hearing Yu Han’s teasing, his composure was completely disrupted, all his clear emotions becoming muddled.
He stood up, his eyes black as obsidian flashing a dangerous light in the dim room, like a panther stalking its luscious prey across a barren prairie, slowly closing in.
Yu Han took a step back, her smile unwavering, unconcerned. “Can you do me a favor?”
Yuan Yi paused, silently watching her.
She jerked her chin towards the passed-out Yu Fu on the sofa. “Sleep with her, and that will solve a big problem for me.”
Yuan Yi thought he must have misheard. But the welcoming smile on this woman’s face was all too familiar – whenever she needed his help, she would adopt this amiable attitude. This time, it was even more outrageous, as she was blatantly pushing him towards another woman.
“Not interested.”
Yuan Yi took out a cigarette and lit it, placing it between his lips.
Seeing his resolute refusal to help, a flicker of hesitation crossed Yu Han’s brow, but it was quickly overtaken by a ruthless determination. She stepped up to Yuan Yi, reaching to his waistband. “Let me give you a taste first, then you can go for her.”
The fresh ash on Yuan Yi’s cigarette broke off, scattering to the floor.
He curled his lip, his chest rumbling with a derisive laugh. “What makes me worthy of using you to get in the mood for another woman?”
Yu Han hastily withdrew her hand. “No need for that.”
She took out the pre-prepared hotel room key card.
Yuan Yi eyed it, the mocking smile at the corners of his mouth growing more oppressive. “How generous.”
