While Shu Nanxuan spoke, the screen played a trailer for an action movie, with the sounds of fighting echoing through the entire theater.

Shu Nanxuan wanted to use the noisy sound to cover up saying those three words.

But things didn’t go as planned.

The moment Shu Nanxuan opened her mouth, the trailer abruptly stopped, and the movie’s opening credits hadn’t started yet, leaving the entire theater in complete silence.

When she turned to look at Yang Jiu, Yang Jiu had already turned her body to face her, and those three words clearly reached Yang Jiu’s ears.

Though she couldn’t see her expression clearly, Yang Jiu’s mood instantly became excited.

Those three words meant that Shu Nanxuan hadn’t watched a movie since their breakup, and that Shu Nanxuan hadn’t gone to the movies with anyone else.

She didn’t believe no one had asked Shu Nanxuan to the movies. If she hadn’t gone to see a movie, the only possibility was that she didn’t want to go.

And now, Shu Nanxuan was here with her.

Following her memory of where Shu Nanxuan’s hand was, she reached out and grabbed her wrist, tightening her fingers with some force.

She shook off Yang Jiu’s hand.

“Watch… watch the movie, it’s starting.”

The popcorn was placed on the armrest between them.

She couldn’t help but want to ask.

Shu Nanxuan said, “Don’t talk during the movie.”

Yang Jiu had to shut her mouth.

But Yang Jiu’s constant grabbing and eating of popcorn caught her attention.

She thought for a moment, then slowly reached out, quietly slipping her hand into the popcorn bucket to grab a single piece, intending to pull her hand back.

At that moment, Yang Jiu reached over to grab more.

The moment their fingers touched the back of her hand, Yang Jiu trembled.

She turned her head and realized Shu Nanxuan was also reaching for popcorn.

She quickly pulled her hand back.

Shu Nanxuan, like a child caught doing something wrong, blushed and pulled her hand back, putting the popcorn in her mouth.

It tasted sweet at first, but it was dry as she chewed.
