Yang Jiu had seen this project before, but she only got such detailed materials now.

After opening the file, she lost track of time.

When her eyes felt sore and she looked up, she was alone at the table.

She finished reviewing the files and had a general understanding of the project.

She rubbed the bridge of her nose to ease the soreness.

It was already late, past eight, and the sky was completely dark.

Only then did Yang Jiu relax and feel her stomach growling.

She wanted to put her things in her room and grab some food, but both room doors were closed.

She didn’t know which one Shu Nanxuan was in, and if she recklessly opened the wrong door…

Yang Jiu hesitated for a moment, then picked one of the rooms, walked over, and gently knocked three times with her bent fingers, quietly waiting for a response.

After half a minute, there was no sound from inside.

“President Shu?”

Still no response. Yang Jiu figured Shu Nanxuan probably wasn’t in this room.

She pressed the door handle, about to push it open, when the door opened from the inside.

As the door slowly opened, Shu Nanxuan appeared in her view, expressionless and silent.

But Shu Nanxuan had changed clothes.

She was wearing a sleeveless nightgown, the neckline a bit wide, revealing a good portion of her cleavage and chest.

A suit jacket was draped over it, covering the shoulders that would have been exposed.

Yang Jiu’s eyes widened.

The suit jacket was something Shu Nanxuan threw on when she came to open the door.

She wasn’t going out tonight and had changed into a nightgown for comfort.

When she came, she thought she’d be staying alone, so she brought her usual clothes.

She didn’t want to open the door, but after Yang Jiu knocked twice, she threw on the jacket to answer.

“Something up?”

Yang Jiu didn’t speak, so Shu Nanxuan had to ask.

Yang Jiu’s gaze dropped, not daring to keep looking.

She was afraid that if she looked too long, she wouldn’t sleep tonight.

“I just wanted to ask which room you’re in. I need to put my stuff in my room.”

Shu Nanxuan pointed to the room next door. “You’re in that one.”

She was a bit amused by Yang Jiu’s reaction.

Seeing Yang Jiu’s shy expression, she curved her lips, thinking it wasn’t a bad idea to have Yang Jiu stay in the same suite.

Yang Jiu nodded and turned to grab her things for her room.

She took a step back, and Shu Nanxuan took a step forward.

Their position was right at the doorway, and Shu Nanxuan leaned against the door.

“Why don’t you dare look at me?”

Hearing her question, Yang Jiu stiffened, knowing her reaction was seen clearly but still denied it.

“I’m not.”

“Then look at me when you talk.”

Yang Jiu turned to face Shu Nanxuan, trying her best to keep her gaze on the other’s face, not letting her eyes wander even a bit.

“Heh…”

Shu Nanxuan let out a soft laugh.

“Yang Jiu, do you know what you look like right now?”

“You’ve seen everything before. Why are you so timid now, not even daring to look?”

Yang Jiu clenched her fists and didn’t speak.

—Does she even know what she’s saying?

If Yang Jiu wasn’t afraid of losing control and doing something to her after looking, why would she not dare to look?

“Or is my figure not good enough now?”

Yang Jiu gritted her teeth and took a step forward.

“Do you know what you’re saying?”

Shu Nanxuan smiled even more happily, stepping back and placing one hand on the door.

“Of course I know what I’m saying. I’m not drunk.”

With that, she turned, slammed the door shut with a bang, and left Yang Jiu alone in the living room.
