She could ride the elevator up with Nanxuan.

After parking, she waited a moment and saw Shu Nanxuan being helped out of her car by her secretary.

She looked very drunk, leaning almost her entire weight on the secretary.

Yang Jiu felt anxious but hesitated to step forward and help the secretary there.

After waiting anxiously in her car for a bit, she suddenly realized something.

With that thought, she decisively opened her car door, locked it, and strode toward Shu Nanxuan.

“I’ll take her. I live across from President Shu, so it’s convenient.”

In a swift move, she took Shu Nanxuan into her arms, looking at the secretary as she spoke.

The secretary was startled.

But since President Shu had arranged for Yang Jiu to stay with her during the last business trip, their relationship must be close.

“This is President Shu’s bag, Director Yang. I’ll leave her to you, then.”

Yang Jiu nodded with a smile.

“No trouble at all. It’s all for the boss, right? You should head back too. Thanks for your hard work.”

The secretary nodded, giving Shu Nanxuan’s arm a light pat.

“Let’s go together. I need to take the elevator to the first floor to leave.”

Yang Jiu hummed in agreement, subtly pulling Shu Nanxuan closer and holding her tighter.

“Could you press the elevator button first? I can support President Shu.”

She didn’t care if her excuse sounded flimsy—she just didn’t want anyone else touching Shu Nanxuan, not even her arm.

The secretary was a bit puzzled but couldn’t pinpoint what was off.

Everything seemed normal enough.

She quickly stepped forward to press the elevator button.

The elevator was already on their floor, so she could only wait for Yang Jiu to catch up.

Fortunately, Yang Jiu seemed to handle Shu Nanxuan with ease, quickly bringing her over.

“Director Yang, I’ll head out then?”

The elevator stopped at the first floor, and the secretary waved.

Yang Jiu nodded.

“Thanks for your work. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of President Shu.”

After the secretary left, people kept getting on the elevator.

Perhaps because it had lingered in the basement, a lot of people entered on the first floor, crowding the two of them into a corner.

Shu Nanxuan let out a couple of uncomfortable groans, nearly making Yang Jiu’s legs go weak.

Finally reaching their floor, Yang Jiu held Shu Nanxuan and stood in front of Shu Nanxuan’s door, fumbling for the keys to unlock it.

Shu Nanxuan’s brows were tightly furrowed, looking very uncomfortable.

Yang Jiu quickly found the keys and opened the door in a few swift moves.

Shu Nanxuan immediately rushed inside, heading straight to the bathroom and collapsing over the toilet to vomit.
