Failed to Pretend to Be an Alpha and Got Marked by the Enemy (ABO, GL) - Chapter 65
Chapter 65
The black umbrella was knocked to the ground by an outstretched tree branch.
A hot and forceful hand appeared at Yu Jing’s waist. She was tightly pressed into Ming Zhu’s embrace. The two of them, like two vines, entangled and stumbled, retreating from the dizzying sunlight to the shade of a tree.
Her back hit a crooked tree by the roadside, feeling momentarily cool. But Ming Zhu’s scorching body quickly pressed against her. Yu Jing could only close her eyes, tilt her head back, and meet this sudden passion.
This kiss was completely different from the one stolen in the bathroom before. Yu Jing let down all her defenses. Ming Zhu also abandoned her cautious restraint and calmness. Her movements were bold and unrestrained. Their lips rubbed together, sometimes lightly, sometimes heavily, teasing and biting her. When Yu Jing gasped for air and slightly parted her lips, Ming Zhu’s wet tongue eagerly slipped in, hooking and stirring.
Yu Jing felt like a stranded fish, constantly drained of air and moisture by her. She could only instinctively cling to Ming Zhu, desperately drawing what she needed from her.
The air became sticky and hot. The sound of their saliva exchanging drowned out the cicadas’ chirping in the tree.
Yu Jing was nearly drowning in this deep kiss. A faint whimper escaped her throat, a mix of enjoyment and pleading. It fell into Ming Zhu’s ears like the most beautiful sound in the world, acting as a catalyst.
Ming Zhu kissed her even deeper and harder, until Yu Jing went limp in her arms. Only then did she reluctantly let her go.
Their clothes were soaked with sweat. They clung to each other as if unbothered by the heat, breathing heavily, listening to the uncontrollable rhythm of their heartbeats, waiting for the heat in their bodies to slowly fade.
Ming Zhu regained her senses first. She slightly loosened her hold on Yu Jing. Her slender fingers brushed away the bangs sticking to Yu Jing’s forehead. She looked into Yu Jing’s misty, infatuated eyes and spoke, her voice slightly hoarse: “Have you really thought it through?”
Yu Jing, dizzy from the kiss, had a face flushed like it was covered in bright blush. Too shy to look at her, she nodded slightly and softly hummed in agreement.
In fact, the previous night, when Yu Jing sent Ming Zhu a message saying she missed her, she had already thought it through.
For the past nineteen years, Yu Jing’s love life had been a blank slate until she met Ming Zhu. It was as if she had been pulled into a chaotic world. She liked the scent of Ming Zhu’s body, liked being close to Ming Zhu, liked Ming Zhu hugging and kissing her.
Before this, she suspected her feelings for Ming Zhu were influenced by pheromones. If that were true, Yu Jing would rather cut off all ties with Ming Zhu. She disliked the feeling of being controlled by external forces. She didn’t want to be a manipulated Omega. She didn’t want to submit.
But the experiences of these days made her realize deeply that her feelings for Ming Zhu were not just physical attraction and surrender but also emotional reliance and need.
The harm Zhou Qi had caused her in the past made Yu Jing afraid to fully rely on anyone. Regarding this relationship, she was still somewhat pessimistic, not believing someone could fully love her and never abandon her. But she had to admit, she craved being valued, being cherished, being loved and cared for. This longing far outweighed her fear of the unknown.
She was greedy for Ming Zhu’s kindness toward her. She wanted to take a chance and try.
Finally hearing the answer she wanted, Ming Zhu’s eyes filled with a smile. She couldn’t help but kiss her again.
This time, without deep entanglement, Ming Zhu gently touched her lips and pulled away.
Pulling her into her arms, Ming Zhu rubbed the back of Yu Jing’s head with one hand. She gazed at the speckled light filtering through the tree leaves. Her lips curved into a beautiful arc, her voice full of satisfaction and joy: “Alright, girlfriend.”
Yu Jing, still a bit shy, buried her head in Ming Zhu’s embrace and silently hugged her.
As if unwilling to disturb the young couple, the noisy cicadas suddenly fell silent. The breeze became gentler, carrying sunlight and a woody fragrance, bringing a refreshing coolness.
The two stood silently embracing. After a while, Yu Jing looked at the desolate wildflowers and grass around them. Her dizzy mind cleared a bit. She pushed Ming Zhu away and said: “Haven’t we forgotten to call a car?”
Reminded by her, Ming Zhu quickly took out her phone and booked a private car through an app.
When the car arrived, the sweat on their bodies had mostly evaporated. Ming Zhu carefully put a mask on Yu Jing, picked up the neglected sunshade umbrella from the ground, and shook off the dust.
The umbrella was large. Ming Zhu naturally put her arm around her girlfriend’s shoulders. As they turned, she looked at the cemetery gate in the distance and said in her heart: Goodbye, Uncle. We’ll come see you next time.
After the visit, they were leaving M City.
Shen Jiayu and Xiao Ye had already packed and were waiting for them in the hotel lobby.
Seeing the two walk in hand in hand, Shen Jiayu had a guess in her heart but didn’t dare confirm it. She hurriedly asked: “What does this mean?”
Yu Jing glanced at Ming Zhu. Using the mask to hide her excitement and shyness, she straightened up and said frankly: “We’re together.”
“Oh my!” Xiao Ye’s eyes sparkled. She covered her mouth and squealed: “Congratulations, congratulations!”
Shen Jiayu wasn’t as excited as Xiao Ye. She didn’t offer any opinions. When no one was paying attention, she pulled Ming Zhu aside and said earnestly: “Jingjing looks young, but she’s a very determined girl. Once she decides on something, she puts her whole heart into it. I hope you won’t let her down.”
Ming Zhu hadn’t interacted much with Shen Jiayu, but from Yu Jing’s behavior, she could sense Yu Jing’s respect for her manager. She was grateful Shen Jiayu didn’t oppose them. With a serious expression, she said solemnly: “I’m serious about her too.”
The contract Yu Jing signed with Guangying didn’t explicitly prohibit dating. Shen Jiayu couldn’t say much, only reminding them to be careful in public.
They definitely needed to be careful. After all, they had just confirmed their relationship, and with the disparity in their fame, Yu Jing hadn’t planned to go public immediately.
She wasn’t sure what Ming Zhu thought.
In a probing tone, she quietly asked Ming Zhu. Ming Zhu didn’t ask why she didn’t want to go public. She just looked at her deeply, reached out to ruffle her hair, and said indulgently: “Whatever you want.”
Yu Jing felt a sense of being spoiled. Her heart felt like it was filled with honey. She gave Ming Zhu a sweet smile.
That smile made Ming Zhu unable to hold back. She leaned in and kissed her through the mask.
Shen Jiayu saw it. The two quickly parted.
Shen Jiayu couldn’t bear to look at the inseparable couple. She pointed at them shakily and warned in a low voice: “Watch your behavior!”
“I know,” Ming Zhu said seriously.
Yu Jing covered her flushed face.
Shen Jiayu shook her head and sighed.
Given Yu Jing’s sudden rise to fame, to avoid suspicion, Shen Jiayu suggested they go through security separately at the high-speed rail station—mainly separating Yu Jing and Ming Zhu. When queuing, Shen Jiayu and Yu Jing went first. Ming Zhu and Xiao Ye deliberately stayed more than ten people behind.
They were lucky. No one recognized them.
Xiao Ye had bought the tickets online, and the seats were randomly assigned. The four second-class tickets had seats scattered apart. Shen Jiayu and Xiao Ye didn’t mind where they sat. They found their seats, sat down, and started napping.
The train carriage was relatively quiet. A tall figure holding a ticket stub walked through the aisle. Her unique aura drew frequent glances from passengers.
A passing train attendant saw her looking around, assuming she couldn’t find her seat, and asked if she needed help.
Ming Zhu spotted that fluffy little head. Her cold eyes filled with warmth. She gratefully said to the attendant: “Thank you, I’m fine.”
Her voice was clear as a spring. The attendant couldn’t help but look at her a few times. Seeing her wearing a large black mask that hid her features, her exposed eyes were striking and familiar, as if she’d seen them somewhere.
Ming Zhu ignored the attendant’s and other passengers’ curious glances. She strode confidently toward her target seat.
“Excuse me, sir,” she said.
A clear, familiar voice came from above. Yu Jing shifted her attention from the attendant pushing a cart ahead and looked at Ming Zhu, who was standing beside her but talking to the male passenger on her right. She was stunned.
Why did Ming Zhu come over? Yu Jing wondered in surprise.
Only one man sat in the row. The male passenger, hearing his name, looked up. He saw Ming Zhu, wearing a mask, leaning down to speak to him, his face showing confusion.
Ming Zhu held the seat back with one hand and lightly placed the other on Yu Jing’s shoulder. Still looking at the male passenger, she stated her intention directly: “Can I swap seats with you? This is my seat number. It’s not far.”
The male passenger glanced at the ticket stub she held out, seeing the seat number. It wasn’t far. But he didn’t get up. He looked at Ming Zhu and said: “Why should I swap with you?”
“Because I want to sit with my girlfriend so I can take care of her,” Ming Zhu said patiently. When mentioning her girlfriend, she pressed Yu Jing’s shoulder suggestively and looked down at the girl in front of her.
Yu Jing: “…”
The male passenger looked at Yu Jing, noticing they both wore matching black masks. He casually asked: “Are you two a couple?”
Ming Zhu nodded, her eyes full of unconcealed affection as she looked at Yu Jing.
“No,” Yu Jing said.
This time, Ming Zhu was stunned.
Their answers were completely opposite. The male passenger was confused. His gaze shifted between them, arms crossed in a playful stance. He said amusedly: “So, are you or aren’t you?”
Ming Zhu pinched Yu Jing’s shoulder, signaling her to explain quickly.
Yu Jing didn’t budge. Her beautiful peach-blossom eyes sparkled with mischief. Looking at Ming Zhu, she said crisply: “She’s lying. I don’t even know her.”
Don’t know her? Ming Zhu’s phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, seeing the playful glint in Yu Jing’s eyes.
The little rascal was teasing again.
Realizing this, Ming Zhu didn’t rush. She leaned down, her thin lips brushing Yu Jing’s sensitive ear, and whispered softly: “Lie again, and I’ll kiss you right now, believe it or not?”
