Fell in Love with the Crazy Young Lady - Chapter 17
After hesitating for a few seconds, Hua Man still steeled herself to approach.
Yang Zhao adjusted her position on the sofa, hugging a pillow as she lay prone. Hua Man sat down in front of the sofa, but hesitated to place her hands.
Yang Zhao was wearing a silk scarf tube top today, exposing most of her back with only a butterfly knot tied at the waist. It gave the impression that with just a light tug, the silk scarf would fall to the ground.
“What are you spacing out for?” Yang Zhao turned her head to glare at her. “Get on with it.”
Hua Man didn’t dare meet her gaze, lowering her eyes in confusion to Yang Zhao’s dazzlingly white back.
As her fingertips made contact, she could feel every inch of taut skin, smooth and milky white.
Hua Man’s eyelashes trembled lightly.
Taking a deep breath, she carefully applied some pressure, following the massage process from her memory.
“Hiss—”
The person beneath her hands suddenly let out a sharp intake of breath.
Hua Man instantly withdrew her hands: “I don’t know my own strength. We should let a professional do this.”
“You really don’t know your own strength,” Yang Zhao sat up from the sofa, exasperated. “How can you have so little strength? Did you even eat? Are your arms like mosquito legs that would snap if pinched? Put some effort into it.”
Hua Man paused, then without saying anything further, pulled over a small stool nearby and sat down again.
This time she tentatively applied more pressure.
“Ah—”
As soon as she pressed down, she heard the young mistress let out a moan.
Hua Man’s hands immediately stopped, her ears growing hot.
She was probably not quite normal, actually finding the young mistress’s cry just now rather pleasant to hear, making her heart itch.
“Don’t stop.”
Yang Zhao closed her eyes again and issued the command.
Hua Man continued silently, maintaining the pressure from before. But she still couldn’t control her strength well, and would occasionally hear the young mistress’s whimpers and moans, unsure if it was from pain or pleasure.
After all the exertion, the jade-like back was covered in dense red marks. For the first time, a hidden and unspeakable impulse arose in Hua Man’s heart.
She wanted to leave even more such marks in the beautiful dimples of the young mistress’s waist, and was curious how she would look with her entire body covered in these red marks.
She must be going crazy.
Suppressing her distracting thoughts, she focused on continuing the massage.
–
Yang Zhao’s head was buried in the soft pillow, her cheeks unusually flushed.
The fingers on her back were still stirring up fires everywhere. The stimulating sensation of not knowing where the other person would touch next or with what strength coursed through her entire body. Though she felt hot, she had also melted into a puddle.
Especially when the other’s pinky accidentally grazed the outer side of her left br3ast, she could clearly feel the changes in her body. Uncontrollable trembling, uncontrollable…
“That’s enough.” She stopped the other person in time, not daring to look back as she tried to keep her voice normal. “You can go back to your room to rest.”
Only after hearing the sound of the door closing did Yang Zhao raise her head.
Her face was already covered in a blush, her eyes filled with undisguised desire. After a few silent seconds, she reached down.
Sinking in and pulling out, she finally looked at the moisture on her fingertips, her eyes darkening.
She wanted Hua Man.
She was getting a bit impatient.
–
That night, Hua Man once again didn’t sleep well.
But the young mistress was radiant and seemed very energetic.
“You did a good job with the massage yesterday, I really liked it,” Yang Zhao said with a smile. “From now on, I want you to do it for me.”
Hearing this, Hua Man immediately looked up: “The Yang family has professional…”
“I just want you.” Yang Zhao impatiently interrupted, but then realizing her tone was too harsh and might scare the other person, she softened her voice and said gently, “Don’t worry, you’ll be paid extra wages. I guarantee it will be an amount you’re satisfied with.”
This wasn’t the first time she had witnessed the young mistress’s domineering nature. It wasn’t a request, but an order.
Thinking of this, Hua Man hesitated: “The extra wages aren’t necessary.”
“Then what do you want?” Sensing she seemed to have more to say, Yang Zhao raised an eyebrow. “Go ahead and ask, I can fulfill anything for you.”
Hua Man hesitated. If she brought up Hua Xi’s matter now, it would undoubtedly be revealing one of her weaknesses to Yang Zhao.
What if Yang Zhao was another Qin Fangqin?
Would that mean Yang Zhao could control her in everything?
In the end, she didn’t dare take the risk. Hua Man lowered her eyes: “Never mind, extra wages are fine.”
Only money could truly be relied upon.
She didn’t want to fall in the same place twice.
“Are you sure?” Yang Zhao asked meaningfully. “No matter what it is, I can give you anything you want.”
Hua Man belatedly realized that since Yang Zhao knew about Qin Fangqin having the butler threaten her before, she had probably already investigated Hua Xi’s situation thoroughly. There was no need to deliberately conceal it.
Her hand clenched unconsciously at her side as she said firmly: “I only want money.”
Yang Zhao laughed: “That’s good.”
Hua Man wanted money, and she happened to have plenty.
–
Today was the second and final day of the competition. Hua Man’s total score wasn’t high, likely to be at the bottom, but she was just going through the motions anyway, so she didn’t care much.
But Yang Zhao was aiming for the championship.
Although she didn’t know why the esteemed young mistress of the Yang family cared so much about this.
But as the competition progressed, she could feel Yang Zhao’s focus and nervousness intensifying.
Even though Hua Man had never seen her miss a single shot, Yang Zhao was radiant when she raised her bow and arrow, hitting the bullseye every time.
But an unexpected incident occurred on the final target.
The last target was in a crevice between rocks. The target was small, the distance far, and the shooting position uneven. Most importantly, just as Yang Zhao was about to release her final arrow, a rock fell from above, hitting the target and shifting it slightly.
It was a nine.
Yang Zhao’s expression instantly darkened.
The final rankings and scores wouldn’t be announced until the next day, but Yang Zhao’s expression remained gloomy all the way back to the hotel.
This was the first time Hua Man had seen her in such a state.
After some thought, she took the initiative to comfort her: “The championship is most likely yours. A small mistake doesn’t matter much.”
“A mistake is a mistake, there’s no big or small about it. And you said ‘most likely’ yourself.” Yang Zhao wasn’t comforted, her pitch-black eyes unreadable. “I need to win with 100% certainty.”
Even the slightest possibility of not getting first place meant she had lost this time, regardless of the final outcome.
Hua Man wracked her brains: “But I think you’re better than all of them.”
This was the truth.
Many of the participants were men, with an obvious strength advantage, but Yang Zhao wasn’t inferior at all. Every arrow she shot was clean and sharp. To Hua Man, she surpassed everyone else.
Watching Yang Zhao shoot arrows was actually enjoyable, and she could feel that Yang Zhao really enjoyed the process too.
Yang Zhao truly loved it.
“Better?” Yang Zhao raised an eyebrow. “I started holding a bow at three years old. I learned to draw a bow before I even learned to use chopsticks.”
So young?
Hua Man was surprised.
Seeing the astonishment on her face, Yang Zhao explained: “My mom loved archery. She won international championships.”
When mentioning her mother, there was undisguised pride on Yang Zhao’s face.
“She had great eyesight, hitting the bullseye every time.” At this point, the pride on her face faded a bit, and she laughed coldly. “Unfortunately, her judgment of people was terrible. After careful selection, she ended up with trash, and even lost her own life.”
Hua Man had no way to respond to this.
She changed the subject: “What should we eat for lunch?”
But Yang Zhao wouldn’t let it go, saying sarcastically: “Hua Man, you’re really good at conversation.”
Hua Man didn’t comment.
She indeed wasn’t good at conversation. Of course, she also didn’t want to know too much about these secrets of wealthy families.
In TV dramas, those who knew too much were often the first to die.
“You don’t want to hear it, but I insist on telling you.” Yang Zhao’s lips curled into a smile. “Come here.”
She beckoned to Hua Man.
Hua Man’s alarm bells went off, and she didn’t dare move: “I can hear you from here.”
“Come over here now, or do you want me to have someone tie you up and throw you over?” Yang Zhao’s voice softened, but her words carried an indescribable madness.
Hua Man instantly got goosebumps all over her arm.
This young mistress never considered the consequences of her actions. Hua Man fully believed she would do such a thing.
Perhaps she shouldn’t have tried to comfort her in the first place.
At this point, it was too late to say anything. Hua Man took a deep breath and walked towards her.
“Give me a shoulder massage.”
Fortunately, the young mistress’s request wasn’t too demanding.
Hua Man discreetly let out a sigh of relief, standing behind Yang Zhao. She raised her hands and gently kneaded those slender shoulders.
She wasn’t familiar with this kind of thing, just randomly massaging according to her instincts, but Yang Zhao didn’t show any dissatisfaction.
After calling for room service to bring up a meal, Yang Zhao narrowed her eyes and continued the previous topic: “How much do you know about my mom?”
“A little,” Hua Man said conservatively.
Yang Zhao looked up at Hua Man, smiling ambiguously: “Be more honest, Manman.”
This angle was deadly. Most people’s looks would be affected, but Yang Zhao was one of the few exceptions – she was still a great beauty even like this. However, no matter how beautiful a face was, it shouldn’t be abused like this. Hua Man turned away, avoiding the other’s sparkling gaze.
She insisted on her previous statement: “I really only know a little.”
Yang Zhao guessed randomly: “Do you know that she went to catch her husband cheating single-handedly, and in the end lost her status as wife, failed in her mission, and even lost her child?”
Seeing Hua Man’s expression, Yang Zhao knew she had guessed correctly.
She laughed: “Isn’t it useless?”
“Soft-hearted people are the easiest to take advantage of.” As Yang Zhao spoke, she raised her hand and gently stroked the back of Hua Man’s hand. “This was the last thing my mom said before she died.”
But her mom’s worry was purely paranoid.
She would never let herself be taken advantage of.
Feeling Hua Man’s hand instantly withdraw, she turned her head to look at Hua Man again, saying meaningfully: “I’ll give this advice to you too.”
Hua Man’s eyebrows raised slightly, but she didn’t ask further.
The hotel soon sent up the meal. The weather was stuffy, and even though it was cool indoors, Yang Zhao didn’t have much appetite. She only ate a few bites before putting down her chopsticks.
Not having rested well for the past few days, Yang Zhao decided to take a nap.
“Wake me up at five o’clock.”
Hua Man nodded: “Alright.”
“Make sure to wake me up, or I’ll dock your pay.”
Hua Man: “…”
“I suggest you take a nap too,” Yang Zhao said, winking at Hua Man. “We’ll be playing quite late tonight.”
Because of Yang Zhao’s last sentence, Hua Man hesitated for a long time but still decided to sleep for an hour.
She didn’t go back to her room, instead lying down directly on the sofa in the living room. To prevent oversleeping, she even set four or five alarms.
Not having rested well last night, she was indeed tired. Soon after lying down, she fell asleep.
The entire suite became quiet.
In the master bedroom, Yang Zhao closed her eyes and dozed for a while on the bed, but her mind was full of thoughts about the mistaken nine-point shot. The more she thought about it, the more it bothered her, and the more it bothered her, the more awake she became.
In the end, she had to get up from the bed.
What she cared about wasn’t just the score, but that mistake.
When she felt unsettled, she always wanted to find something to do. Yang Zhao got out of bed and had just taken a few steps towards the door when she saw Hua Man sleeping on the sofa.
Instinctively softening her movements, she kicked off her slippers and quietly approached Hua Man barefoot.
Hua Man looked so docile when asleep.
Yang Zhao bent down to look at her up close.
Hua Man’s lips were very attractive, full and rosy, making one want to kiss them.
She reached out and lightly grazed Hua Man’s lips.
The touch was very gentle, but Hua Man immediately opened her eyes.
Seeing her startle and instinctively shrink back like a little rabbit, Yang Zhao found her adorable. She stood up with a smile: “It’s nothing, go back to sleep.”
Saying this, she turned to pour herself a glass of water.
Holding the glass and turning around, she saw that Hua Man had already gotten up from the sofa and was standing stiffly with a stern face. However, a tuft of hair was sticking up on her head, breaking the deliberately put-on air. Yang Zhao laughed.
“Manman, you’re really cute.”
