- Forced to Pretend to Be an A and Marry the Best Actress Omega
- Chapter 11 - Just an hour ago, a well-known gossip blogger on Touchbo, "Is This Melon Ripe?", posted a Weibo with a tone of complaint, sparking heated discussions among everyone.
Is This Melon Ripe?: Previously, when Jiang Lingyu won the Golden Lion Award, it was Xu Wanzhi who was behind the scenes. The tearful fairy moment made me ship them for a long time. Later, I discovered they had a lot of matching outfits. Clearly, they were a low-key couple in love, yet Xu Mifei announced their engagement out of the blue, and the official photos were all released by Xu’s Group. It was as if they wrote “unfamiliar” and “forced” all over their faces. Ahhh, I can’t accept this!
The blogger is playing me. Last night, I rewatched the cameo film featuring Yuyu and Zhizhi. How can our healing CP just disappear like this? Boohoo!
In the wealthy alpha sister rivalry for O, the winner is the younger sister. Xu Mifei won unfairly; if she hadn’t forcibly marked Jiang Lingyu first, would Jiang Lingyu even be able to get along with her?
The more I think about it, the angrier I get. When the diamond ring advertisement came out, all the healing CP fans knew it was Zhizhi and Yuyu about to announce something, yet Xu Mifei barged in. How dare she hold Yuyu’s hand? Isn’t that harassment?
Just looking at her makes me want to vomit. How many omegas has she been with without a fixed partner? What’s the point of having glands if she’s like this? A scumbag alpha harming society. Just because she has money, she thinks she’s great!
She’s been sleeping around for so long and still has no fixed partner? Still hasn’t marked anyone? She’s always sticking to her barrier patch; could it be because she’s incapable?
No, sisters, did you see the recent gossip? Jiang Lingyu and Xu Mifei went to the hospital!
Just saw the response. They went to the emergency department. I saw Xu Mifei’s name appear in the pheromone testing department. Haha, how funny! Just got engaged and already checking pheromones. It must be because of her incompetence, right? It’s well-known that forced marking between mismatched alpha and omega can lead to problems.
Wow, is it that explosive? Are they still there? I’m going to check it out live!
In the consultation room, Song Nian, after removing the medical records related to Xu Mifei, said seriously to Jiang Lingyu, “She refused the bl00d test. Why are you protecting her? Just let her go out and learn a lesson.”
“I’m not protecting her.” Jiang Lingyu glanced at Xu Mifei’s hand, which had just been stitched and rewrapped. “Xu Mifei, let’s go to the rooftop and take the flying vehicle.”
“Security, stop that group of fans. No entry into the VIP passage. Start clearing the area outside.” Song Nian coldly scanned Jiang Lingyu’s gland injuries, picked up the intercom to give instructions, then turned to the still dazed Xu Mifei, “Was the news released by you?”
“It wasn’t me!”
“It wasn’t her.”
The two voices spoke simultaneously. Song Nian looked at Jiang Lingyu with disappointment, “I see you’ve gone crazy after being temporarily marked by her!”
Xu Mifei’s shoulders relaxed slightly, and Jiang Lingyu removed her hand from Xu Mifei’s shoulder. Xu Mifei lowered her head, taking deep breaths, and said with difficulty, “You…”
She raised her hand to point at Jiang Lingyu’s exposed gland. Song Nian seemed to notice something and exclaimed in surprise, “Such a faint concentration, yet you can still smell her pheromones? Is it your susceptible period?”
Otherwise, there was no explanation for Xu Mifei’s heightened sensitivity—unless they had completed a permanent mark.
Under Song Nian’s horrified gaze, Jiang Lingyu said, “It’s not what you think.” She knew she and Xu Mifei didn’t have much time left. “Hurry up, come here and bite. We’re leaving now.”
Such a blatant invitation—no one could resist it. Xu Mifei knew she was currently under the influence of an omega’s pheromones. She repeated silently in her heart:
Not human, I’m not human. I’m a dog, a dog… I am… I can’t be a dog…
The corners of her eyes began to redden slightly. Just as she was about to clench her injured right hand to clear her mind with pain, Jiang Lingyu reached out to peel off the scent-blocking patch on Xu Mifei’s nape. Xu Mifei shuddered subtly.
“Don’t act recklessly! The air corridors must be swarming with drones waiting to photograph you two right now,” Song Nian stopped Jiang Lingyu’s movement. “She’s in her susceptible period! And you dare remove her scent-blocking patch?”
If an alpha in her susceptible period released pheromones, even an omega in a calm phase would be forced into heat. The two would have to comfort each other—
With cameras everywhere outside, such a thing couldn’t happen.
Jiang Lingyu’s gaze was weary and indifferent as she stared at Xu Mifei.
“Xu Mifei, this is your chance.” Jiang Lingyu’s finger pressed against Xu Mifei’s scent-blocking patch. The skin there was so thin—no pulse could escape her notice.
Though there was no visible bulge on the nape, a lively throbbing persisted, growing faster and faster—Xu Mifei’s frantic heartbeat.
“Still not going to bite?”
“I won’t bite. Let them say whatever they want about me being incompetent.” Xu Mifei tightly gripped Jiang Lingyu’s finger pressing against her nape. “I won’t bite. I won’t bite you…”
Her mind grew clearer, yet her body craved Jiang Lingyu’s warmth. It made Xu Mifei desperately want Jiang Lingyu’s touch, to nuzzle her cheek against Jiang Lingyu’s hand. It was all because of the top-tier omega’s pheromones wreaking havoc—she had to resist.
She didn’t know why she was so sensitive today. Maybe it was because she had stopped using high-concentration perfume, allowing her nose to regain some sensitivity?
The taste of bl00d spread in her mouth. Xu Mifei lowered her head and spat it out. When she looked up again, her eyes were much clearer. She grabbed Jiang Lingyu’s wrist. “Let’s go.”
For a moment, Jiang Lingyu was stunned.
“Xu Mifei, if you don’t bite, the media will bombard you with exposure and ridicule,” she said in a low voice, suddenly aware of how loud her own heartbeat was, thundering alongside her words,
“If we go down, I’ll stay with you. The fans might be gentler.”
“We’re going up.” Xu Mifei suddenly turned back to meet Jiang Lingyu’s eyes, adjusting her sunglasses for her. “Let them scold me if they want, but I won’t bite you. I won’t let you appear in front of everyone with a bite mark—what would that make you?”
The faint redness at the corners of her peach-blossom eyes, troubled by the pheromones, forced its way into Jiang Lingyu’s vision like a sharp thorn, stinging so fiercely that even behind the sunglasses, Jiang Lingyu’s eyes ached in response.
Xu Mifei’s every move and word defied logic and felt utterly unfamiliar—she was actually protecting Jiang Lingyu, who even wanted to press a hand to her chest to check if the heartbeat she felt was still her own.
She had to steel herself, refusing to be swayed by such appearances.
When Song Nian tried to catch up, Xu Mifei stopped and said, “I won’t hurt her. I mean it. I… can’t mark her.”
Song Nian froze in place as Xu Mifei reapplied the scent-blocking patch to Jiang Lingyu’s nape and practically dragged her onto the elevator heading for the rooftop, as if fleeing.
An unmanned aircraft was already waiting atop the building. Xu Mifei and Jiang Lingyu sprinted inside.
Xu Mifei could clearly see the high-altitude drones positioned along the aircraft’s flight path, their cameras capable of capturing even those moving at high speeds.
She reached out to smooth Jiang Lingyu’s hair, ensuring it covered the back of her neck, and sincerely complimented, “You look beautiful today.”
She watched as Jiang Lingyu removed her sunglasses, staring at her with an almost icy detachment, scrutinizing every inch of her as if trying to dissect her thoughts and even the rhythm of her breathing.
Jiang Lingyu’s gaze lingered on Xu Mifei’s slightly parted lips—another wound on her tongue. Combined with the injuries on her abdomen and hands, Xu Mifei was practically covered in bruises in less than twenty-four hours.
Suddenly, the aircraft hovered in place.
In the confined silence, the mechanical error alert was piercingly sharp: “Detected drone route deviation. Collision in thirty seconds. Alter course? Post-collision passenger capacity, 1. Alter course? Alter course?”
The small black dots ahead were rapidly closing in—a reckless tactic devised by unscrupulous paparazzi. Destroying a single drone was trivial, but it allowed them to instantly capture valuable footage and transmit it back.
The aircraft had self-preservation protocols and was generally safe—unless, by sheer misfortune, it happened to be a single-passenger model.
And as luck would have it, that was exactly the case.
Before Jiang Lingyu could react, Xu Mifei pressed “Yes” on the screen after only a second of deliberation, then grabbed a small emergency pack and opened the hatch.
“Route altered successfully. Passenger capacity, one. Current passengers, two. Crash risk, eighty percent.”
A howling gust of frigid wind rushed in, jolting Jiang Lingyu back to her senses. “Xu Mifei, what are you doing?! Get back here!”
Xu Mifei swayed unsteadily, glancing at the drones now nearly upon them, her grip on the hatch loose.
“Don’t come any closer. I’ll jump. You don’t have to feel guilty.” Xu Mifei took a deep breath, then suddenly smiled, her eyes filled with complex emotions. In a low voice, she added, “But from now on, don’t test me by putting yourself in harm’s way too, okay?”
She leaned back, hesitation cast aside. By the time Jiang Lingyu lunged to grab her, it was too late.
Xu Mifei jumped.
