Forced to Romance the Omega Psychiatrist (GL, ABO) - Chapter 6
Bai Shuixi’s car slowly pulled into the underground parking garage of another high-end residential complex in the western part of the city.
From its inception, this complex had been marketed as exclusive and private not only requiring resident cards for entry and exit, but also having security personnel chase away any paparazzi lurking nearby. Naturally, it attracted numerous celebrities and wealthy individuals.
As it happened, Bai Shuixi was one of them.
“What are you bringing me here for?” Xia You asked hesitantly.
Bai Shuixi had just been teasing her moments ago, and now the assertive, cool fragrance clinging to her slowly filled the car, making Xia You’s thoughts grow increasingly scattered. Her nerves tightened more and more, and she couldn’t help but shrink toward the door.
Bai Shuixi, however, didn’t seem to notice. She leaned back in her seat, turned off the engine, and casually switched off the interior lights. “Of course, it’s to see for yourself what your beloved childhood friend is up to. When you see Li Wei later, try not to be too shocked.”
Xia You sat in the passenger seat, watching Bai Shuixi’s confident demeanor with an inexplicable sense of defiance. Her mouth moved faster than her brain: “Li Wei wouldn’t be here.”
“Is that so?” Bai Shuixi raised an eyebrow in surprise, gesturing toward a parking spot diagonally across from them. “I really think your devotion is misplaced. That’s Zhou Wanwan’s parking spot. Care to guess whether Li Wei will come down with her?”
Xia You froze, suddenly gripping the seatbelt tightly. “You even know about Zhou Wanwan?”
Bai Shuixi tilted her head slightly, smiling with amusement.
She didn’t see why she shouldn’t know.
Even without the system, the original owner of this body would have thoroughly investigated her romantic rival just to be ready to strike at any moment, wouldn’t she?
Bai Shuixi leisurely studied Xia You’s expression, thoughtfully musing:
Hmm, so this is what panic looks like?
To Bai Shuixi, Xia You at this moment resembled a well-behaved, pampered housecat, one that had its claws trimmed on schedule and waited obediently for meals being bullied for the first time. Hesitant, wanting to lash out, but unsure how to attack.
It didn’t look threatening. In fact, it was even less threatening than it looked.
Personally, Bai Shuixi had no real interest in tormenting the female lead, but her mission required her to keep grinding her down.
Her gaze slowly traced over Xia You’s face before she chuckled softly and said, “I know Zhou Wanwan. What about it?”
“Did you investigate me?” Xia You clutched the seatbelt in front of her, her usually gentle eyes flashing with irritation.
“Investigate you? So that’s how you see me?” Bai Shuixi lowered her lashes and let out a light laugh. “Have you forgotten? I’m the CEO of Tianyin Entertainment. Do I really need to investigate to know who Zhou Wanwan’s agent is?”
Xia You stiffened.
“I know you’ve always thought I’m not a good person,” Bai Shuixi said slowly.
And the original owner really wasn’t.
“But the one you love is even worse,” Bai Shuixi continued, her tone calm. “Liking her would be better spent on me at least my feelings for you are genuine.”
Genuine in my desire to take you by force.
Xia You, unaware of Bai Shuixi’s thoughts, seemed momentarily stunned by her words. She turned her face away, her voice strained as she said, “Don’t slander others.”
Bai Shuixi released the steering wheel. “If you don’t believe me, see for yourself.”
Xia You was about to say something else when a pair of headlights cut through the dim garage.
“Well, here they come,” Bai Shuixi said flatly, settling back into her seat without a hint of urgency.
The black van emerged from the far end of the garage, its headlights sweeping sharply as it turned, revealing its considerable speed. Truth be told, the driver hadn’t wanted to drive so fast, but Li Wei had been insistent.
In the backseat, the boss was thoroughly drunk, barely coherent and hardly recognizing anyone.
A faint trace of Omega pheromones drifted through the air.
The alpha driver couldn’t help but falter for a moment, immediately earning a cold glare from Li Wei.
Guiltily, the driver tightened his grip on the steering wheel.
“Focus on driving,” Li Wei said coldly, one arm supporting Zhou Wanwan.
“Right, right,” the driver quickly replied.
“Hah, President Song…” Zhou Wanwan murmured drunkenly, her slender arms suddenly looping around Li Wei’s neck. One hand wandered across Li Wei’s chest and waist as she slurred, “Another drink, Why’d you stop? Don’t tell me you’re scared of your wife?”
The driver up front didn’t dare utter a word.
Li Wei endured the antics, veins nearly popping in her neck. Thankfully, with her constant urging, the car finally arrived at the residential garage, Li Wei had deliberately chosen the safest complex, even if it meant taking the long way.
“Look.”
The sound of a car door opening and closing echoed in the quiet garage. The figure Xia Niao knew all too well stepped out first, a slender figure clinging to her. The green dress was wrinkled, the pale shawl half-draped over her shoulders, the other half slipping down to reveal a graceful neckline.
The Omega seemed too drunk to walk, hanging onto Li Wei the moment she stepped out of the car.
The distance between them was practically nonexistent.
“This is just…” Xia Niao stared for a long time, her fingers unconsciously tightening around the seatbelt. It took her a while to snap out of it. Despite the obvious distress on her face, she stubbornly insisted, “This is just work. She’s Zhou Wanwan’s manager. This is part of her job.”
Bai Shuixi glanced at Xia Niao, puzzled by the Omega’s stubborn, almost naive persistence. “Are you sure? They’re about to enter the same apartment, an alpha and an Omega. What do you think will happen?”
Xia Niao lifted her head, lips pressed tight, eyes red. Suddenly, she unbuckled her seatbelt and reached for the door.
“What are you doing?” Bai Shuixi grabbed her arm.
“I’m going to ask her myself,” Xia Niao said, her voice trembling, eyes already misty. Despite the softness of her damp lips, her words were firm. “I won’t listen to your provocations here.”
This Omega really…
Fine. If she wanted to go, let her. Bai Shuixi loosened her grip slightly. Maybe it was better for Xia Niao to confront Li Wei and get it over with. After all, no wise words could persuade someone blinded by love.
[No, Host!!] The long-silent system suddenly spoke up, [You can’t be this reckless, Host!!! In the original plot, Xia Niao never meets Li Wei here, Li Wei doesn’t know Xia Niao saw everything!! You can’t let Xia Niao go confront Li Wei!!]
Bai Shuixi’s grip abruptly tightened.
Xia Niao, startled by the sudden force, turned back in confusion. In that brief moment, Li Wei had already led Zhou Wanwan into the elevator.
“What are you doing?” Xia You looked at Bai Shuixi.
Bai Shuixi frowned slightly and quickly came up with a plausible excuse: “If you confront Li Wei now, no matter how you ask, she’ll just deny it, won’t she? Zhou Wanwan is her most popular artist, do you really think she’d admit to having something going on with her?”
Xia You stubbornly held her ground for a moment before retorting, “That might not be the case.”
“Then why don’t you guess what Li Wei and Zhou Wanwan are doing right now?” Bai Shuixi met Xia You’s gaze directly. “I can take you to knock on their door. But are you brave enough to face the truth?”
Xia You froze.
Upstairs, Li Wei had barely managed to help Zhou Wanwan into the room, deliberately avoiding any assistance from outsiders. Both the driver and the assistants had been left downstairs.
Zhou Wanwan had always been a handful for her.
The artist had gotten drunk at a gathering attended by the investors of Director Lin Zhengfeng’s upcoming film. The event wasn’t small, almost all the investors had shown up, booking out the entire banquet hall and bringing along plenty of newcomers to mingle. It was no surprise Zhou Wanwan had ended up in this state.
Li Wei set Zhou Wanwan down on the sofa before heading to the kitchen to fetch water.
Zhou Wanwan’s pheromones lingered faintly in the air, unsettling Li Wei enough to make her pause and steady herself against the counter before continuing. By the time the water was ready and Li Wei returned with a glass of lemon water, Zhou Wanwan had already straightened up on the sofa.
Her disheveled hair, mussed from the earlier chaos, still framed her delicate, alluring face. Though not entirely sober, she had already lit a slender cigarette.
When she noticed Li Wei’s return, Zhou Wanwan merely narrowed her eyes in a lazy smile and exhaled a slow stream of smoke. “Took you long enough.”
Li Wei said nothing.
Zhou Wanwan slid further down the sofa, stretching her long, pale legs onto the coffee table. Her slender fingers held the cigarette loosely as she gazed unfocused at the ceiling. “Guess who I wrapped around my finger tonight?”
Even drunk, with her posture careless and her gaze hazy, she didn’t lose an ounce of her charm. Instead, she exuded a decadent allure like a flower blooming in the mud, radiant yet tainted.
“Song Zhe?”
The biggest investor in Director Lin’s new film.
Li Wei leaned over to set the lemon water on the table, her expression indifferent but her tone carrying a hint of disapproval.
“Yeah. But why that look?” Zhou Wanwan glanced at her, her naturally seductive eyes glimmering with mischief, though the smile on her lips was tinged with something almost maliciously innocent. “Didn’t I just secure the biggest investor and land a role that could help me transition my career? Why do you look like someone owes you money?”
Li Wei studied Zhou Wanwan intently, imprinting every bit of her calculated mischief into her mind. “I just wanted to see you. Mrs. Song isn’t someone to be trifled with. One wrong move, and I’ll lose an artist under my management.”
Zhou Wanwan blinked, then suddenly laughed. She stood up, straddled Li Wei’s lap in one fluid motion, and cupped Li Wei’s face before pressing a kiss to her lips, even teasingly licking them. “Then come and try me. I thought I’d be leaving with Song Zhe tonight.”
Li Wei frowned. “What?”
Zhou Wanwan let out a mocking laugh, slipping the straps of her dress off her shoulders as she leaned in close to Li Wei’s ear, her voice saccharine yet provocative. “What? At a time like this, you’re not actually thinking about that precious ‘little sister’ of yours, are you? She looks completely clueless, what’s so great about her?”
Li Wei’s breath hitched.
With half her dress already slipping down, Zhou Wanwan’s pale skin gleamed dazzlingly, the hem riding up as she pressed herself against Li Wei without hesitation. She calmly took Li Wei’s hand and placed it on her own body, guiding it over the soft curves as she murmured enticingly, “Come on.”
Li Wei struggled to hold back for a moment before finally giving in, pressing Zhou Wanwan’s head down.
The relationship between her and Zhou Wanwan had always been murky at best.
Or perhaps, nothing in this circle was ever truly clear or clean.
