Giving You Dawn and Dusk (GL) - Chapter 2
After speaking, Liang Shi left the room.
She didn’t know if Xu Qingzhu believed her, but it was the only explanation that could currently ease Xu Qingzhu’s fear.
An Alpha’s body that hadn’t yet bonded with an Omega felt like it was being scorched, as if millions of needles were pricking the most vulnerable places. Large beads of sweat dripped from Liang Shi’s forehead, sliding down her cheeks.
Afraid of losing control and harming Xu Qingzhu, Liang Shi simply went downstairs.
But the scene before her as she stepped off the last stair shocked her.
The original owner had just thrown a party with friends in the villa. The floor was covered in exploded balloon fragments and colorful streamers. A lot of expensive red wine had been spilled, some on the floor and some on the white sofas. Cream was smeared everywhere, and there was hardly any space to step on the original wood-colored floor.
A fragment suddenly flashed in her mind—
“Play however you like, I’ll have my wife clean up later.” The scum Alpha Liang Shi waved her hand carelessly, her long hair falling loosely, her laughter light and unrestrained. “Have fun.”
“Xu Qingzhu?” someone asked doubtfully. “Doesn’t your family have servants? Why make Miss Xu clean up?”
“You still think of her as a Miss?” A beautiful Beta laughed. “If it weren’t for the Liang family, the Xu family would have gone bankrupt long ago. Now, it’s just a third-rate small company.”
Liang Shi just chuckled.
“Are you jealous that she can marry Liang Shi?” someone next to her provoked.
“Yes,” the Beta admitted readily, but then curled her lips. “But Liang Shi is just playing with her. Once she’s tasted the number one Omega in Haizhou, she’ll definitely divorce her. Right, Liang Shi?”
Liang Shi raised her hand and clinked glasses with her. “Of course.”
The memory cut off.
Liang Shi frowned. She hadn’t fully accepted the original owner’s memories, only a few scattered fragments. All she knew was the main storyline of the original book and a few key characters; everything else was unknown.
She was momentarily stunned when her phone suddenly rang. The contact was labeled: Cheng.
Liang Shi had just arrived here and didn’t dare to act rashly, so she hung up.
But the person on the other end was persistent. On the fourth ring, Liang Shi forced herself to answer, lowering her voice, “Hello.”
“Hello?” Cheng Ran said in surprise. “Miss Liang, have you been tamed?”
Liang Shi was silent.
“This isn’t your style. We haven’t been gone for long,” Cheng Ran chuckled. “No wonder she’s the number one Omega in Haizhou. One night with her and our Miss Liang knows her manners.”
Liang Shi frowned, her throat dry and itchy. She coughed softly.
She knew who this Cheng was.
Her full name was Cheng Ran, the Alpha granddaughter of the Cheng family of Huaguang Group. She was beautiful, had grown up with the original owner, and they were confidantes. She was also a party animal, good at sucking up to those in power and stepping on those below. Many of the original Liang Shi’s ideas for torturing Xu Qingzhu came from her. Cheng Ran was even involved in taking Xu Qingzhu to shady places and trading her like an object.
Later, when Xu Qingzhu rose from the ashes and the original owner had her glands removed, Cheng Ran quickly went abroad.
Liang Shi’s body was currently in unbearable pain. Not wanting to talk to her, she hung up directly.
As a result, Cheng Ran called again, but she still didn’t answer.
Soon after, Cheng Ran sent a text message.
[Just a little toy, are you still mad at me?]
Liang Shi sent a question mark back.
[Cheng Ran: Liang Shi, what kind of women haven’t we shared before? I didn’t even touch Xu Qingzhu this time, you’re not serious, are you? Or are you really falling for her?]
[Liang Shi: ……]
[Cheng Ran: Okay, what’s with not answering the phone? Weren’t you going to mark Xu Qingzhu tonight during her estrus period? Then she’ll be yours from now on. If you don’t like it, I won’t touch her.]
Liang Shi had already extracted information from her words, and combined with the fragmented memories in her mind, she roughly understood what had happened.
The original owner was truly scum.
Liang Shi put away her phone, stepped over the obstacles on the floor, and ran to the bathroom. She splashed cold water on her face and looked up at the mirror.
It was a face identical to her own, but the makeup on this face was heavy. The eyeshadow was dark, the false eyelashes were very long, casting heavy shadows under her eyes, and the lipstick was a deep shade of 999 red. Her chestnut brown hair fell over her shoulders, and a row of small diamonds was stuck to her exposed collarbone, sparkling brightly.
It was a completely different style from her usual attire.
Liang Shi closed her eyes and touched the area behind her ear. The glands were burning hot, and her heart was beating twice as fast as usual. She pressed her chest and called the ambulance again.
As soon as she hung up, the sound of an ambulance siren could be heard outside.
Liang Shi forced herself to walk out. She clenched her fists and went upstairs to the master bedroom door. The closer she got, the greater the Omega’s influence on her. She knocked on the door, her dry throat clearing, and called out in a low voice, “Xu Qingzhu.”
“Go away,” Xu Qingzhu’s voice was suppressed and unbearable, with a hint of pain.
Liang Shi was already in so much pain that she sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall to regulate her breathing, trying to comfort Xu Qingzhu in a calm voice, “It’s okay, the ambulance has arrived.”
“Go away.” Xu Qingzhu seemed to throw something at the door, making a loud thud.
The painful Omega let out a hoarse cry, like the last mournful cry of a lone goose.
For some reason, Liang Shi could empathize at this moment.
“Don’t get agitated,” Liang Shi said. “I’ll go open the door.”
She dragged her unsteady steps downstairs, and when she opened the door, the doctors thought she was the one who was sick. Three or four people came up to support her, but Liang Shi immediately waved her hand. “The patient is upstairs. It’s an Omega in estrus, she needs strong-scented inhibitors.”
With the changes of the times, Omega inhibitors had developed into various types, including injections and oral medications, each with different methods of use and effects.
And Xu Qingzhu needed the strongest type.
The more beautiful the Omega, the more unbearable their estrus period, requiring the strongest inhibitors to subside.
The nurses asked worriedly, “Are you really alright? You look…”
“It’s okay,” Liang Shi shook her head, saying anxiously, “She’s upstairs, go save her first.”
“Don’t you need inhibitors?” a nurse asked.
“Take care of her first, don’t worry about me,” Liang Shi felt her body being constantly drained, her physical strength almost exhausted.
The nurses hurried upstairs. When they passed the second floor and saw the mess on the ground, they all frowned, but quickly regained their composure and went upstairs to knock on the door. “Hello, we are nurses from Haizhou First People’s Hospital. May we come in?”
Xu Qingzhu in the room had no hope for Liang Shi at all.
At this moment, she still thought it was Liang Shi’s trick. She shouted at the door, “Liang Shi, stop acting.”
How could Liang Shi possibly call doctors for her?
“There’s a shortage of strong-scented inhibitors at the moment, we can only take you to the hospital quickly,” the nurse said outside the door. “Excuse us, we’ll take the liberty.”
Saying that, they pushed open the door. In the dim room, the Omega lay there. The rich scent of Omega pheromones in the room confused everyone for a moment.
Everyone looked over and saw the Omega on the bed with a cool temperament and beautiful features. Although her eyes were hazy, they were still clear and bright.
She was an extremely rare, top-quality Omega, almost one in a hundred years.
“Hurry,” someone reacted. “The concentration of Omega pheromones in the room is too high. Contact the hospital urgently, prepare the rarest strong-scented inhibitors, and arrange a ward immediately.”
Xu Qingzhu was puzzled, not expecting Liang Shi to actually call doctors for her.
Could it be a change of strategy?
But in any case, Xu Qingzhu had decided to divorce Liang Shi.
She didn’t want to live with such a moody person; it was too terrifying.
Hiding all the inhibitors in the house during an Omega’s estrus period was the same as wanting her to die.
Having made up her mind, Xu Qingzhu saw Liang Shi when she went downstairs.
Her long hair was wet, and her dress clung to her body, accentuating her curves. Her heavy nightclub-style makeup looked wild, but her expression was serious, and sweat beaded on her forehead.
It was a Liang Shi completely different from usual.
Xu Qingzhu didn’t care about much else. When she passed Liang Shi, she said coldly, “Let’s get a divorce.”
Liang Shi frowned slightly, then, as if she hadn’t heard anything, instructed the nurses, “Make sure you give her the inhibitors.”
Tears fell from Xu Qingzhu’s eyes. She turned her face away. “You don’t need to pretend.”
Liang Shi pursed her lips. She smiled bitterly, knowing that nothing she said could change Xu Qingzhu’s mind, but she only sought to have a clear conscience.
She looked at the nurses and said sincerely, “Please, you must make sure she’s alright.”
After Liang Shi finished speaking, her vision went black, and she lost consciousness.
Suddenly collapsing to the ground.
