“Dizzy? That red wine is pretty strong.”
Shu Yubai looked at her with concern and asked, “Do you want something to help with the hangover?”
“A bit dizzy.”
Nan Xue furrowed her brows slightly.
“I’ll go downstairs to buy some hangover medicine.”
Shu Yubai turned to leave.
“Don’t.”
Nan Xue hugged her. “I don’t want to take medicine.”
“Uh… don’t be so close.”
Shu Yubai gently pushed her away.
The girl was really drunk, sticking close to her. One hand held Shu Yubai, while the other wrapped around her slender neck. She leaned in to speak in her ear, her dark, cool hair cascading down.
Her breath was light and airy, with a faint scent.
Her snow-white cheeks had a noticeable blush, and her gaze was somewhat hazy, filled with mist.
“Time to sleep.”
The girl tugged on her hand and whispered in her ear.
The close proximity made Shu Yubai’s ears gradually flush with a slight warmth.
“You haven’t washed up yet.”
Shu Yubai’s slightly cold fingertips rubbed her earlobe to cool down the warmth. She smiled gently and led Nan Xue toward the bathroom, saying softly, “You can’t just go to sleep when you’re drunk.”
“Don’t need to wash.”
Nan Xue shook her head and said softly, “Sleep.”
“No, you can’t.”
“Tired… Sister, sleep.”
It seemed like the only word left in her mind was “sleep.”
She kept repeating it.
Shu Yubai couldn’t help but smile. If Nan Xue woke up tomorrow and remembered how she acted tonight, she wondered if she would feel embarrassed or awkward.
Though her words were reluctant, she followed Shu Yubai into the bathroom without any resistance.
She was very obedient.
Wherever Shu Yubai led her, she followed.
Nan Xue was very gentle and quiet when she was drunk. Shu Yubai guided her into the bathroom. The glass and wooden door opened, revealing a bathroom filled with a thin layer of white steam. It was warm and humid, and the mirror was foggy, reflecting indistinct silhouettes.
Shu Yubai took a tissue and gently wiped the mirror, while Nan Xue leaned against the doorframe and watched her back. The woman’s slender and soft waist, along with her dark, flowing hair, swayed gently.
The mirror became clear again.
Shu Yubai walked over, took a corner of a towel, dampened it in hot water, and said, “Come here.”
Nan Xue walked over.
“Wash yourself a bit.”
Shu Yubai handed her the towel.
The towel was a square piece, a light yellow with a warm tone, featuring a small bear—one Shu Yubai had bought for her.
“Sister, help me.”
Nan Xue pointed to her cheeks. “I feel so dizzy that I can’t even see the mirror clearly.”
She wanted Shu Yubai to help wash her face?
Shu Yubai smiled as she watched her, her red lips curving, and her eyes warm. She helplessly laughed, leaning on the wooden vanity, her dark hair falling. She softly said, “Come over.”
Nan Xue quietly approached.
Shu Yubai dampened the small towel, asked her to lower her head, and gently wiped her soft skin. Nan Xue closed her eyes, her thick eyelashes curling and trembling lightly.
Her skin was delicate, like flower petals, with a light layer of fuzz under the light.
Clean and pure.
Moistened with water droplets, it had the texture of cool jade.
“Does it hurt?”
Shu Yubai wasn’t sure if she was applying the right amount of pressure.
“No, it doesn’t hurt.”
Nan Xue opened her eyes, her eyelashes wet, her eyes clear but slightly blurred with a hint of drunkenness, and said in a half-asleep state, “Sister, continue.”
She closed her eyes again, her small red lips curling up slightly.
As Shu Yubai gently wiped her face with the wet towel, she looked at Nan Xue, her eyes containing a hint of affection, as if saying, “Well, what can we do?”
It was a very doting look.
Nan Xue stole a glance and then closed her eyes again.
She looked very content.
After washing her face, Shu Yubai took the toothpaste and toothbrush from a nearby cup, squeezed the toothpaste for her, and handed it over. “Brush your teeth yourself, okay?”
Nan Xue nodded.
She took the toothbrush and mouthwash cup and stood in front of the mirror to brush her teeth.
Was she able to see clearly now?
Shu Yubai laughed softly, feeling a bit more relaxed. She washed and wrung out Nan Xue’s face towel, then went outside to hang it on the hotel’s terrace.
It was cold outside. She wore a fluffy bathrobe, and her collarbone was damp. After standing outside for a while, she came back in.
In the bathroom, Nan Xue was still washing up.
Shu Yubai leaned by the window, looking at the night view, and relaxed for a moment. She checked her unread messages on her phone, mostly from group chats with some miscellaneous content. There was a small red dot on a friend’s profile picture.
Many unread messages.
All from the same person.
Lin Lan: [Hey, are you there?]
Lin Lan: [Did you do as I said?]
Lin Lan: [Try having sex with her directly. If you’re too shy to say it, I can help you.]
Lin Lan: [Ah, I’m really worried sick.]
Shu Yubai’s fingertips trembled slightly. She tucked her wind-blown hair behind her ear, feeling a bit warm, and carefully replied:
[No need.]
[Thank you.]
[I’m… helping her wash her face. She’s drunk. Let’s chat later.]
Lin Lan was surprised and replied immediately:
[Drunk?]
[What a great opportunity! Go for it!]
Go for it…
Shu Yubai looked at the last two words and couldn’t help but smile. It wasn’t as simple as Lin Lan made it out to be; she… wasn’t that kind of person.
After a while, Lin Lan sent another message:
[That’s not what I meant. I’m saying that after drinking, people might speak their true feelings. You could ask her some questions and test the waters.]
[Hurry up. It’s a great opportunity.]
Shu Yubai was slightly taken aback.
That was true; why hadn’t she thought of that?
Meanwhile, Nan Xue’s voice came from the bathroom again.
“Sister.”
Nan Xue leaned halfway out of the bathroom, still somewhat dazed. Her clear, transparent eyes were misty and looked at her in a hazy manner. She was holding onto the bathroom door frame, her delicate white fingers dripping with water.
“Hmm?”
Shu Yubai turned to look at her.
“Help me.”
Nan Xue said, “I feel… a bit uncomfortable.”
Shu Yubai frowned and quickly walked over, asking, “What’s wrong? Do you feel like vomiting?”
Nan Xue, who never drank before, had previously avoided alcohol even at banquets with her father. Drinking a whole glass of liquor now, it was expected that she would feel unwell.
“No.”
Nan Xue shook her head and said, “I feel uncomfortable. Hot.”
Nan Xue’s delicate white fingers fumbled with the buttons of her outerwear, undoing them. The room was warm, and her thick down jacket had already been removed. She was left in just a thin light blue knitted sweater. Her white fingers skillfully unfastened each button.
“What are you doing?”
Shu Yubai’s eyes widened slightly, her heart racing as she watched the girl’s movements.
Nan Xue took a deep breath. Her slender waist was very thin, and under the blue sweater, she wore only a small camisole.
She was slim, with a natural air of restraint.
Her translucent collarbone slightly protruded, and the thin fabric draped softly, accentuating the shallow contours of her chest, outlined by the light.
Nan Xue looked up, reached for her hand, and pulled her in.
“Let’s wash together.”
Her dark eyes flashed with a faint light as she lowered her gaze, showing a hint of shyness. She hooked Shu Yubai’s pinky with her own, speaking softly.
A cool touch against her waist made Nan Xue lean in closer, her fingertips gently brushing against Shu Yubai’s waist as she lifted the edge of her clothing and slipped inside.
The sensation of her fingertips was slightly cold. Nan Xue lowered her head slightly, resting her chin on Shu Yubai’s shoulder, her light breathing warm and a bit unsteady.
“Hmm… you…”
Shu Yubai’s heart raced wildly. The girl was so close, her clothing so thin; the moment she pressed against her, everything was palpable. Shu Yubai’s heart fluttered, and unable to resist, she gently wrapped her arms around Nan Xue, her palm pressed against her slender waist, tightening slightly as she caressed her.
She moved her hand upwards.
The smooth shoulder felt slightly cool. Shu Yubai’s palm followed the smoothness of her back, touching the slight protrusion of her shoulder blade.
Like porcelain.
Nan Xue looked at her quietly, her cheeks flushed, her body warm. She hooked her pinky around the hem of the camisole, trying to lift it.
Shu Yubai’s breath slowed momentarily, her thoughts filled with indescribable desires. Her heart tightened, and in the next second, she turned her gaze away.
The girl in front of her continued to lift her clothing.
—but she was drunk.
At that moment, Shu Yubai felt a sudden chill and instinctively grabbed Nan Xue’s hand, saying, “Wait.”
Nan Xue looked at her in confusion.
Shu Yubai turned and walked out of the shower, closing the sliding door behind her.
