- Chapter 23 - Hidden Class Scroll
The sudden system announcement startled Han Xing awake.
When he looked at his status panel, he noticed a new effect, Valiant Struggle, appearing on it. A faint smile crept onto his lips.
“Impressive! Looks like everyone in Area 107 is made of steel—pulling all-nighters and grinding non-stop. Amazing!” Han Xing genuinely praised.
What he didn’t realize was that Area 107 securing the global first-place ranking had something to do with him.
When all human survivors were suffering from extreme water scarcity, Han Xing had defeated a Dark Elves team and outwitted a powerful demon, ultimately discovering a significant water source.
Although only a few hundred liters of water were traded away, it seemed like a small amount when distributed among thousands.
Yet, even that small amount of water was enough to rejuvenate them, restoring their combat readiness.
This experience made them realize the urgency of actively exploring Sky Island while in good condition to secure more resources.
This was one of the reasons Area 107’s Area Channel was outperforming the other areas.
Han Xing promptly opened the Territory Points Leaderboard.
To his surprise, the top-ranked individual in Area 107 was none other than himself.
[1st Place: Star River, 66 Territory Points.]
[2nd Place: Black Hawk, 42 Territory Points.]
[3rd Place: Whisperer, 35 Territory Points.]
[4th Place: Papaya Star Spirit, 32 Territory Points.]
…
Among the top 100 players, Han Xing’s personal territory points were far ahead. Of course, the other survivors weren’t far behind either.
Every player on the leaderboard had territory points in the double digits.
This indicated that they had all experienced at least one, if not multiple, battles and were gradually adapting to the rhythm of this world.
“Points ranking, huh? So, what are the rewards?”
As Han Xing studied the rankings, the system notification popped up again.
[Territory Points Leaderboard Rewards Updated]

[21th–50th Place, Rewarding Food x20 units, Fresh Water x10 units, Spirit Core x200, Selectable Green Weapon x1, Random Advanced Class Scroll x1.]

[2nd Place Reward: Food x200 units, Fresh Water x50 units, Spirit Core x1000, Selectable Blue Weapon Blueprint x1, Silver Treasure Chest x1, Selectable Advanced Class Scroll x1.]
Seeing these rewards, Han Xing was amazed.
“Silver Treasure Chest and Blue Equipment are already on the table, not to mention the Advanced Class Scroll. These rewards are enough to make people lose their minds fighting over them.”
However, when his eyes landed on the first-place rewards, they widened in shock.
[1st Place Reward: Food x500 units, Fresh Water x200 units, Spirit Core x1000, Selectable Purple Weapon Blueprint x1, Silver Treasure Chest x1, Hidden Class Scroll x1.]
Han Xing ignored the other rewards entirely. His focus was locked onto the final item.
Hidden Class Scroll!
From the moment Han Xing chose his class, he had already decided that his eventual class change would lead him to the Hunter’s hidden class.
Wild Ranger.
However, it seems that he has yet to discover any trigger conditions for this hidden class.
Based on his estimation, he would likely need to reach level eight or nine before he could even attempt the Wild Ranger class change quest.
But now, an opportunity was right in front of him.
If he could secure the first position on the leaderboard, he wouldn’t need to go through the painstaking process of finding the Wild Ranger trigger quest. Instead, once he reached level 10, he could directly change into this powerful hidden class!
In Sky Island Paradise, no one knew exactly how many hidden classes existed.
But being “hidden” implied rarity and unique potential. While not necessarily overwhelmingly stronger than standard classes, hidden classes undoubtedly carried extraordinary advantages.
In that moment, Han Xing resolved to claim the top spot!
When the leaderboard rewards were updated, not only did Han Xing see the reward details, but other survivors also noticed the incredible prize for first place, and they all coveted it.
The chat channel quickly became flooded with messages.
“Wow, so many rewards! Even the food and water are given in bulk. Anyone in the top 100 basically won’t have to worry about survival anymore!”
“Exactly! And more importantly, there’s an Advanced Class Scroll!”
“I remember seeing something about this in the game interface. Once you reach level 10, you’ll need one of those Advanced Class Scrolls to advance further and become a high-tier adventurer. That’s when your power takes a huge leap. Not only do your stats get a major boost, but you can also learn higher-level skills!”
“At that point, fighting creatures below level 10 will be like a parent disciplining their child!”
Upon hearing the introduction of advanced classes, many survivors’ eyes lit up with anticipation.
“Man, the rewards for the top 10 are crazy—Blue Weapons and Silver Treasure Chests! It’s so tempting!”
“Yeah, if I could just get into the top 3, I’d be satisfied…”
The survivors in Area 107 were buzzing about the top 10 rewards, but oddly, there wasn’t much discussion about the first-place prize.
Finally, someone asked: “Why isn’t anyone talking about the first-place reward? That’s a hidden class! And a purple weapon blueprint—something none of us have seen yet!”
“Don’t even think about it, buddy. Have you looked at who’s currently first? That’s Star River, the savior of Area 107!”
Whirlwind Potato: “That’s my daddy! Don’t you dare try to take first from him!”
…
Meanwhile, several established groups in Area 107 began holding emergency meetings.
‘God’s Whisper’ Group Chat
“I’m sure you’ve all noticed—the rewards for the top 100 are very enticing. As long as a few of us from God’s Whisper make it in, our survival issues will be practically solved.”
The speaker was none other than Whisperer, the third-ranked player on the leaderboard, a Mage class.
Whisperer continued: “So, everyone who still has the strength, explore as many nearby clouds as possible and expand your territory.”
“As for me, I’ll push hard to maintain my third-place position. Of course, my ultimate goal is to take first place, so I’ll need your support…”
The other group members chimed in enthusiastically: “Boss, just say the word, and we’ll back you up all the way!”
“That’s right! We’re all behind you boss!”
…
‘Airplane Men’ Group Chat
“Stay sharp, everyone. Airplane Men already has three people in the top 100. Let’s push to get even more up there!”
“We must help Boss Papaya Star Spirit secure his spot in the top 10.”
“Secure the top 10, aim for the top 3, and chase the top spot! We’re with you all the way, Boss Papaya Star Spirit!”
