- Chapter 41 - Warrior's Ring, Treasure!
Among the ranking reward weapons, Cheng Jianyong chose an excellent-quality Gravel Greatsword, while Shen Yun selected a Crystal Hammer.
The attributes were decent, but both weapons required level 6 to equip.
Next came the Silver Treasure Chest.
The rewards from a Silver Treasure Chest far surpassed those of a Bronze Treasure Chest. At this stage, obtaining one was exceedingly difficult.
Each Silver Treasure Chest was typically guarded by powerful monsters. Unless you were an exceptionally lucky “European Emperor”, it was nearly impossible to find an unguarded Silver Treasure Chest on an unexplored Sky Island.
Silver Treasure Chests often contained a large number of high-grade materials like Mithril, Spirit Core, and Bl00d of the Strong, as well as a guaranteed blue-tier equipment item. There was also a small chance of obtaining potion formulas or blue equipment blueprints.
The two eagerly clicked to open the chests.
In the next moment, Cheng Jianyong shouted excitedly: “Whoa! Warrior’s Ring Blueprint, a blue item!”
“Huh?”
Han Xing exclaimed in surprise: “A blue-tier ring? That’s some luck!”
Cheng Jianyong laughed triumphantly: “Haha, I knew I was a European Emperor!”
Then, with a slight tone of disappointment, he added: “But it’s a level 6 blueprint.”
Han Xing replied: “Level 6? That’s still pretty good. In just a level or two, we’ll all be able to equip it. Plus, level 6 blue-tier equipment has much stronger attributes compared to anything below level 5!”
At this moment, Shen Yun grumbled in frustration: “Damn it, I got a level 6 light armor leg guard, another blue-tier item. But I’m a Cleric, I need Heavy Armor! Guess I’ll have to hand them over to Cheng Jianyong again!”
“Light Armor? Xiao Yun, hand it over now!” Cheng Jianyong shouted excitedly.
With a reluctant sigh, Shen Yun initiated the trade. Moments later, he asked: “Brother Xing, there’s also a Selectable Advanced Class Scroll. What class advancement should we choose? Do you have any suggestions?”
It had become a habit for them to consult Han Xing before making important decisions.
Though they couldn’t quite explain why, they felt Han Xing had a much deeper understanding of the game mechanics than they did.
Han Xing thought for a moment before responding: “According to the game description, a Cleric can advance to either Priest or a Knight. The former focuses on healing and support but lacks combat prowess.”
“As for the latter, it’s geared towards defense and melee combat. Compared to the Priest, it offers more survivability. Both classes have their strengths and weaknesses.”
Without hesitation, Shen Yun replied: “Alright, I’ll go with Priest.”
Han Xing raised an eyebrow, “Are you sure about that? Priests have weak combat abilities. The system description explicitly says that Priests rely heavily on their teammates early on. Only after the third class advancement, when they become Bishops, do they gain a few offensive skills.”
Shen Yun nodded firmly, “I’ve thought it through. Priest it is.”
“After all, Cheng Jianyong can handle the frontlines, and you’ve got ranged combat covered, Brother Xing. I’ll just focus on support.”
Han Xing pondered briefly and decided not to push the matter further.
He understood this was a well-considered choice by Shen Yun, made with their future teamwork in mind.
At that moment, Cheng Jianyong asked: “Brother Xing, what about me? Should I choose Swordfighter or Berserker?”
Han Xing, however, replied with a hint of exasperation: “Why are you even asking? Big brute classes like that are practically the same.”
“What the heck?! You dare look down on the mighty big brute classes?!” Cheng Jianyong retorted, feigning outrage. “I’m furious! When will the big brute classes finally get the respect they deserve?!”
Cheng Jianyong dramatically exaggerated his tone, then sent a trade request to Han Xing.
Han Xing accepted the trade.
Cheng Jianyong handed over the recently acquired Warrior’s Ring Blueprint (Blue) to Han Xing.
[You have obtained Warrior’s Ring Blueprint (Blue) LV6. Do you wish to learn it?]
Han Xing clicked “Learn.”
Finally, the blueprint section displayed its first blue-tier equipment blueprint.
He glanced at the crafting requirements.
[Crafting Materials Required for the Warrior’s Ring: Mithril x10, Spirit Core x50, Rare Earth x100, Strength Crystal x10.]
[Crafting Success Rate: 15% (Affected by the ‘God-Level Craftsman’ Talent, Success Rate Has Reached 100%).]
“That much Mithril is needed?”
Han Xing approached several Storage Boxes to check his material reserves. The other three materials were sufficient, but Mithril, a high-grade material, was down to just 7 units.
Insufficient to craft even a single ring.
Opening the group chat, he asked: “How much Mithril did you two get from the Silver Treasure Chest earlier? Trade it all to me for now. I don’t have enough to craft the Warrior’s Ring.”
“I’ve got 13 pieces of Mithril.”
“I’ve got 16 pieces here.”
After hearing him, both of them immediately sent a trade request to Han Xing.
Han Xing received a total of 29 pieces of Mithril. Combined with his own Mithril reserves, it’s just enough to craft three Warrior’s Rings.
This was all thanks to the ‘God-level Craftsman’ talent that ensures a 100% success rate.
For other survivors, with only a 15% success rate, such failures would make them question their lives.
It’s important to know that when crafting fails, materials are not returned.
The losses incurred are not something ordinary people can afford.
Han Xing had no such concerns and clicked on the crafting option. A dazzling blue light appeared.
A progress bar of 60 seconds appeared before his eyes.
When the progress bar filled up, a silver-white ring dropped to the ground.
Han Xing also saw the ring’s attributes.
[Warrior’s Ring (Blue), Quality – Rare, Strength +12, Attached Special Effect – Soul of a Warrior]
[Soul of a Warrior: When entering combat mode, an additional 6 points of Strength are added.]
[Equipment Requirements: LV6]
“Only… Strength? The properties of this ring are really pure…” Han Xing couldn’t help but comment.
“But still, the strength boost is indeed significant!”
An equipment directly increases 12 points of Strength, plus the special effect, which equates to an 18-point Strength boost.
Even when equipped by the Hunter class, it can increase attack by 36 points, rivaling the enhancement from a main weapon!
If it’s given to someone like Cheng Jianyong, who is of the strength class, the boost provided by the Warrior’s Ring would be even more outrageous.
“It’s pretty powerful!”
Han Xing exclaimed and then went on to make two more.
The second one was of the same rare quality, with similar attributes.
By the third one, Han Xing suddenly noticed something different.
This time, the burst of blue light was several times more dazzling than before.
Han Xing said with slight excitement, “Could it be…?”
In the next moment, he saw the attributes of this Ring.
[Warrior’s Ring (Blue), Quality – Treasure, Strength +18, Attached Special Effect – Soul of a Warrior]
“What the heck, treasure!”
Han Xing was extremely surprised. This was the first time he created equipment with treasure quality.
In Sky Island Paradise, equipment quality is divided into eight levels: Trash, Common, Excellent, Rare, Treasure, Legendary, Epic, and Mythic.
Generally, green equipment is at most common quality. Occasionally, one or two might be of excellent quality, with rare quality being the upper limit for green equipment.
As for blue equipment, it is generally also of excellent and rare quality, with treasure already being the upper limit for blue equipment.
Generally speaking, if other survivors can craft rare quality equipment from blue equipment blueprints, they can count themselves very lucky.
However, Han Xing, with his ‘God-level Craftsman’ ability, easily crafted treasure quality!
Compared to rare quality, the attributes are significantly enhanced!
It can be said that just this one treasure quality ring directly increased Han Xing’s firepower by nearly 15%!
