Golden Temptation – A Yuri Story - Chapter 17
Along the way, Gao Zhe and Liu Xinyu chatted and laughed freely, while Qiao Fei sat quietly by the window, gazing at the passing street scenes. City C’s night lights flickered to life, revealing not only the vibrance of a bustling metropolis but also a touch of the serene elegance typical of a mountain city. Soon, they arrived at Qiao Fei’s workplace. After a brief farewell, Qiao Fei watched the car pull away.
“Yuwawa, don’t waste this chance!” Liu Xinyu’s not-so-subtle matchmaking thoughts were practically written on her face. As the saying goes, those caught up in the situation are often the most confused, while outsiders see things more clearly. Qiao Fei, at least, saw her position with clarity—she only hoped that Gao Zhe wouldn’t turn out to be another Lin Hao.
Back in the car, Gao Zhe’s antics had Liu Xinyu laughing so hard she was practically rolling in her seat, her usual ladylike image completely forgotten. Gao Zhe smiled knowingly. He hadn’t expected her to be this adorable. Unlike Qiao Fei, who always kept a slight emotional distance even when she smiled.
“Xinyu, do you mind going home a bit later?” Gao Zhe asked tentatively, his expression almost like a mischievous uncle trying to lure an innocent girl.
Liu Xinyu was caught off guard. “Ah? Sure, as long as it’s not too late.” She was confused. If it had been another girl, she might have screamed “pervert” and jumped out of the car. A calmer one might have been at least on alert. So why wasn’t she being cautious? Instead, she found herself enjoying this moment. Being with him felt… safe. She silently wished the car could just keep driving endlessly, no matter the destination.
“Really? It’s not even nine yet. I want to take you somewhere fun. I promise I’ll get you home whenever you say. So, what do you think, little girl? Dare to hop in a car with a suspicious uncle?” Gao Zhe joked, making an exaggerated face. He was too caught up in the moment and the car swerved slightly.
Liu Xinyu jumped. “You better focus on the road!”
She immediately regretted not taking her own car. If she’d known his driving was this reckless, she wouldn’t have gotten in at all.
Gao Zhe gave a dry chuckle. “Oops—my hand slipped! But don’t worry, I’ve had my license for five years.”
“I only care how long you’ve actually been driving.”
“Uh… well… I think about two weeks?”
“WHAT? Two weeks!?”
“Hahaha! Just kidding! I’ve been driving since I got my license. Five full years!” Gao Zhe laughed harder. This girl was just too fun to tease.
Liu Xinyu rolled her eyes. “Alright, but you still haven’t said where we’re going.”
“Tsk~ I’m in! Why wouldn’t I be? I love going out! But you have to get me home before eleven!”
“Deal! No problem!” Gao Zhe stepped on the gas and sped off toward Huatian.

Lately, Lan Qing had been sticking to Jing Xuan like glue, and she didn’t mind one bit. Her exclusive brand launch had been a smashing success, and now the company wanted her to return to Japan to begin the next phase of promotion. They hoped she could win big again at Paris Fashion Week later this year.
But Lan Qing was disheartened. She had just reunited with Jing Xuan, and now they were about to be apart again. With her schedule full of global events, who knew when they would see each other next? So, she became unusually clingy, nothing like her usual image as a business queen. Around Jing Xuan, she was simply soft and adorable.
At this moment, Jing Xuan had her nestled between her arms and the railing, overlooking the grand hall below. Tonight’s performance featured one of the most popular Western rock bands—Lan Qing’s absolute favorite. Jing Xuan had brought her to Huatian, her personal favorite hangout. From their vantage point, she could see everything clearly: the entrance, the crowd, the energy—like a king surveying her domain.
Lan Qing leaned back against Jing Xuan’s chest, holding the railing with both hands. Her firm embrace around her waist made her feel incredibly secure. Watching her favorite band perform without having to squeeze into the crowd—this was bliss.
“Xuan! Look! Lawrence is so handsome!”
“Xuan! My heart’s about to burst!”
“Xuan, I love this song!”
Finally, Jing Xuan couldn’t help interrupting. “Hey, hey, hey—careful or I’ll get jealous!”
Lan Qing turned around and kissed her on the lips. “Xuan, thank you!” Then she snuggled closer into her arms.
Jing Xuan grinned. “So smitten, huh? If I got up there, I’d sing even better than them!”
Lan Qing poked the tip of her nose. “You? Bragging again! I don’t believe it!”
“Believe it or not, you’ll see one day.”
“Hmph, I’m waiting!” She giggled so much she could hardly stay still. “Xuan, I’m getting a little tired.”
“Alright, let’s go downstairs for a bit. Shuangji just arrived—with a girl. Seems like her type has changed. She’s adorable.”
Lan Qing followed her gaze and spotted Gao Zhe entering with Liu Xinyu. “Shuangji is cute?”
“No, the girl. She’s like a little doll. Let’s go say hi.”

Liu Xinyu had wondered where they were headed—and was stunned to find they’d arrived at a bar. But this wasn’t just any bar. Even from a distance, the brilliant neon lights of Huatian Entertainment City lit up half the sky over City C.
“Have you been here before? It’s the largest nightclub in the city. Super fun—I’ll show you around.”
They parked and entered.
Jing Xuan and Lan Qing descended just as Gao Zhe and Liu Xinyu found a table and sat down to order. Jing Xuan greeted Gao Zhe casually. “Shuangji, it’s been a while. How’s the new job? Are your students behaving?”
Then she sat across from Gao Zhe, arm still wrapped around Lan Qing. She ordered beer for herself and low-alcohol drinks for the two girls.
Gao Zhe grabbed a beer and took a swig. “It’s okay… except my students don’t really like my class. Big headache.”
Lan Qing raised her brows. “Seriously? With your looks and brains? Who wouldn’t love your class?”
“They do love it! Just not… me!” Gao Zhe shrugged, grinning.
Jing Xuan chuckled. “Tsk, asking for a beating with that attitude.”
As the three chatted and joked, Liu Xinyu sat quietly on the side. It was Lan Qing who kindly brought her into the conversation.
“And this young lady? Shuangji, aren’t you going to introduce her?”
Jing Xuan quickly added, “Yes, yes! Hello! I’m Jing Xuan. Hehehe~”
Liu Xinyu was amused and extended her hand graciously. “Hi, I’m Liu Xinyu, one of Teacher Gao’s students. Nice to meet you.”
Jing Xuan was momentarily stunned. “Wait… student?”
“Why not?” Gao Zhe crossed her arms proudly.
“I just can’t believe it… Shuangji actually lured an innocent student out! The world is upside down!” Jing Xuan joked dramatically, drawing laughter all around.
Gao Zhe stood up. “I’ve had a few too many tonight—Ajing, take care of our little guest. I need to use the restroom.”
As she walked away, Liu Xinyu’s gaze followed her. Her eyes widened as she pointed toward her direction, whispering to Jing Xuan and Lan Qing in shock, “She… she… what’s going on?”
Jing Xuan leaned back into the sofa, casually sipping her beer. “Oh, didn’t she tell you? She’s a woman.”
