Golden Temptation – A Yuri Story - Chapter 19
Liu Family Residence
“You said Teacher Gao is a woman?” Qiao Fei stared at Liu Xinyu in disbelief.
“She really is!” Xinyu insisted. “No wonder she said she doesn’t have a girlfriend. We totally misunderstood.”
“But… I get the feeling she likes girls,” Xinyu added casually, twirling a strand of her hair.
“Are you sure about that?” Qiao Fei asked, still processing.
Xinyu pulled a chair closer to the bed and looked Qiao Fei in the eye. “Fei’er, think about it. If Teacher Gao had a boyfriend, don’t you think it would look odd to outsiders? Honestly, she’s so cool—if she does like girls, I wouldn’t be surprised. Plus, she talks to girls in that teasing way. It’s obvious.”
Qiao Fei nodded slowly, starting to understand.
Xinyu hesitated, then asked, “Fei’er… if I were to choose to be with a girl, would you think I’m… weird?”
Qiao Fei didn’t say anything at first, just stared at her with a strange expression.
“Hey! You… you’re not thinking it’s you, are you?” Xinyu cried, standing up and playfully knocking Qiao Fei on the head. “Get real! Even if I did like girls, it wouldn’t be you. Don’t flatter yourself!”
Qiao Fei was left speechless, as if a crow had just flown overhead.
“Are you dumb or what? Say something!” Xinyu pouted.
“It’s your life,” Qiao Fei replied. “I’m not someone who clings to old-fashioned views. If you’re happy, I’ll support you.”
“Really?” Xinyu smiled. “What about you? Could you accept that kind of relationship?”
“I don’t know… I really don’t want to think about that right now.”
“By the way, Gao Zhe and I went to Huatian yesterday. Oh my god, it was amazing! And I saw a super handsome guy—way better looking than Gao Zhe! But sadly, he’s engaged. Otherwise, I’d totally introduce him to you!”
“Huatian? You mean Huatian Entertainment City?”
“Yep! Fei’er, have you been there?”
“No. You should avoid places like that. They can be dangerous.”
“It’s not like the other bars and clubs, I swear! Yesterday Lawrence even performed there—he was incredible! And if you work part-time at Huatian, I bet the pay’s insane!”
“I’d rather work for your Liu family’s logistics company.”
“What? Our company’s all hard labor—how could I let you do that? And besides… I wouldn’t want you to leave me!” She giggled. “Oh, and get this—Gao Zhe knows the boss of Huatian, the one I was telling you about. He’s not only good-looking but also really sweet. He proposed to his fiancée last night in front of everyone! It was so romantic!”
“Oh? What did he say?”
Xinyu jumped up on the chair and imitated him dramatically. “’Hello everyone, I’m the boss here. I want to make a promise to my fiancée and I hope you all can be witnesses. I, Jing Xuan, swear to be loyal to Miss
Lan Qing for the rest of my life—until death!’”
It’s him! Qiao Fei’s heart clenched.
“Did he really say that…?” she murmured.
“Absolutely! If someone said that to me, I’d marry them on the spot!” Xinyu said dreamily. But then, for some reason, she thought of Gao Zhe and frowned. Why did that scoundrel pop into my head?
“Fei’er, what’s wrong? You spaced out.”
“Nothing. Let’s go help Auntie with dinner. I’m starving.”
“Great, me too!” Xinyu beamed.

Later that night — Jing Xuan’s Apartment
Jing Xuan and Lan Qing lay sprawled on their soft, spacious bed, too drained from the night’s passion to move.
“Xuan, will you miss me when I’m gone?” Lan Qing whispered.
“Of course I will.”
“Will you feel lonely?”
“Of course I will.”
“Will you… find another woman to keep you company?”
“Of course I—wait, what?!” Jing Xuan froze, realizing she’d walked right into a trap.
Lan Qing narrowed her eyes.
“No, no! Of course not!” Jing Xuan quickly wrapped her in a tight hug. “How could I ever look at anyone else when I already have the most beautiful, perfect woman in the world? You’re my everything, Qing’er!”
“Hmph. Who taught you to be such a sweet talker?” Lan Qing said, lightly pinching her cheek.
“Ah! My dear wife, please spare me! I promise to behave!” Jing Xuan laughed.
Lan Qing pushed her away and sat up. “I don’t have time to bicker with you—ah!”
But Jing Xuan’s long arms pulled her back into bed. “My dear wife, you worked so hard last night. How could I let you clean up? Let’s order takeout. I’ll clean. You rest.”
She kissed Lan Qing on the forehead and got up. As she stood, the thin silk quilt slipped off, revealing the red marks Lan Qing had left on her. Lan Qing blushed and hid her face under the blanket.
I really went crazy last night…

Later, as they ate their takeout together:
“Xuan, don’t come see me off tomorrow,” Lan Qing said softly.
“Huh? Why not?”
“I’m afraid… if I see you, I won’t be able to leave.”
“Silly girl.” Jing Xuan stroked her hair gently. “Aren’t you worried I’ll feel the same way?”
“That’s why I should go alone.”
“Lan Qing,” Jing Xuan said, mock seriously, “I declared to everyone that you’re my fiancée. Are you planning to ghost me now? What about my reputation? Don’t tell me you’re going to leave me like this?”
“You know I didn’t mean that! Why are you making it sound like that?”
“Too late. I’m sticking to you now,” Jing Xuan teased.
Lan Qing rolled her eyes, smiling as she pinched her cheek. “You big rogue. But… I like it.”
“Eat up, or it’ll get cold.”
“Yes, yes~”

The Next Day — C City, Leshan Business Airport
A sleek private jet sat on the tarmac. Lan Qing, in casual clothes and oversized sunglasses, walked toward it with a few men in black trailing behind her. One of them pulled her suitcase silently.
She boarded the jet, trying to suppress the heavy feeling in her chest. She could feel someone watching her, even from afar, and it took everything not to turn around. She was afraid—afraid she’d cry.
On a hill behind the airport, Jing Xuan leaned against her car, eyes fixed on Lan Qing’s departing figure. Though she promised not to appear before her, she couldn’t resist being there. Let her feel my presence… even from a distance.
As the jet roared into the sky, taking her lover farther away, Jing Xuan finally turned and got into her car.

A sudden phone call.
“Jun Ye, what is it?”
“Mm, Shuangji told me already. I know.”
“Yeah, I’m aware—don’t worry, I’ve got it covered.”
“Okay. Say hi to Grandpa Yan for me. Just tell him Ajing misses him, and I’ll visit when I can.”
“Alright, that’s it for now. Bye.”
She hung up, started the engine, and drove toward the city. Her bright eyes sparkled with determination.
Gao Zhe and Yan Jun’s words still echoed in her mind: Be careful of the Iga family in Japan.
