Golden Temptation – A Yuri Story - Chapter 31
Los Angeles, USA.
“Wake him up!”
“Yes, sir!”
— Splash! —
A bucket of ice-cold water was dumped mercilessly over Movis, shocking his unconscious body back to a faint semblance of awareness. He stirred slightly, only to be greeted by Jing Cheng’s hawk-like, vicious glare.
“I’d advise you to cooperate. It’ll save you a lot of pain. It’s better for everyone.” Jing Cheng toyed casually with his tie clip, speaking as if he were chatting about the weather.
“Haha… Kill me, torture me, do whatever you want.” Movis let out a hollow laugh, eyes lifeless. “There’s nothing left in this world I care about anymore.”
“Oh? So, you’re saying even your brother’s child means nothing to you now?”
“That child… is long gone from this world! I never imagined you, Jing Cheng, could be this cruel. Betraying your own brother, turning your back on your comrades… You didn’t just kill Pokai and Ajie—you murdered our big brother and his wife! And now, you’re wiping out everything that remains? Jing Cheng, do you have no humanity left? That girl… she’s the last bloodline of the Jing family!”
“You shut your mouth! Shut it!” Jing Cheng suddenly lunged forward, gripping Movis by his bloodstained shirt. “What the hell do you know?! He was never my brother—never deserved to be! Do you have any idea how he treated me growing up? Huh?! You don’t know anything! So don’t you dare talk to me about cruelty. He brought this on himself! He deserved this!”
Jing Cheng shoved Movis violently to the floor. Movis let out a muffled groan as his body hit the ground hard. Jing Cheng crouched beside him, eyes gleaming with a disturbing bloodlust.
“You call her my sister-in-law? That woman—I met her first! So why did she fall for my brother instead of me?! Huh?! Was it the money? The power? The status? Just because I didn’t have any of that?! That child… that bastard should’ve been mine—our child! Why did they get to live happily while I had to suffer?! I won’t accept it! I won’t f***ing accept it!
“But now… they’re all gone. I’m the one in control! Let’s see who dares defy me now! Once I take down the Yan family and destroy the Iga shinobi, I—Jing Cheng—will be king of this world! I’m the king! Hahaha!”
Movis stared at the now utterly deranged Jing Cheng, his worry deepening. Jing Cheng had lost all sense—he was a lunatic. If this continued, there was no telling what devastation he might bring. Movis knew he had to escape… he had to find a way to stop this madman. He must be stopped.
“Haha… cough cough… hahaha…”
“What the hell are you laughing at?”
“I’m laughing… at you. You’re pitiful. Truly pathetic. Hahaha…”
“What did you say?!”
“Haha… Still clinging to the delusion that you’ll be king of the world? Jingdonghui won’t be so easily destroyed—there are still brothers out there preparing, waiting… ready to tear you limb from limb, to avenge our brother and all those you betrayed… cough cough…”
Furious, Jing Cheng drew a silver pistol and released the safety. The cold, dark barrel pressed firmly against Movis’s temple.
“Hahaha… Coward! Go on, kill me! Just like you did them! Go on, shoot!”
Movis shouted with all the strength he had left. But Jing Cheng didn’t pull the trigger. Instead, he struck Movis across the head with the butt of the gun, knocking him unconscious.
“Sh1t! Sh1t! Lock him back up! Watch him closely!”
“Yes, sir!”
Enraged, Jing Cheng kicked over the chair he had been sitting in and stormed out of the cell. As he left, one of the guards assigned to clean up the room stood respectfully, watching his departure—while subtly tapping his right hand, hidden in his pocket, in a steady rhythm.

In her office, Jing Xuan was flipping through Huatian’s quarterly financial statements. Everything looked solid—growth was steady, and the company’s influence continued to expand. It looked like the next step of opening a branch in W City could proceed as planned.
A cheerful ringtone chimed.
“Hello? Shuangji? …Great! I’ve been wanting to go too. …Mm, okay, okay, I’ll wait for you, hehe! …Of course, a free dinner? Who would say no to that? Haha! See you soon! You actually brought 1865 Bordeaux?
You rascal! …Okay, bye!”
Hanging up, Jing Xuan muttered at the phone, “Shuangji, you stingy bastard! Making me bring the wine to your dinner invitation?! Some host you are—seriously!”

—Ding-dong—
“Lazybones, go get the door! It must be Brother Jing Xuan!”
“Got it!”
Gao Zhe rinsed her hands quickly, planted a playful kiss on Liu Xinyu’s cheek, and happily skipped to open the door.
“Hey, Ajing! Right on time. So… did you bring the wine?”
Jing Xuan nearly swung the precious 1865 Bordeaux bottle at Gao Zhe’s head. This guy never missed a chance to take advantage—she definitely deserved a good smack.
“Brother Jing Xuan’s here! Haha, come in! Dinner’s almost ready!”
“Perfect! Haha, Xinyu, you’re looking lovelier by the day. Love really is the best beauty treatment for a woman! Here, the wine.”
“Oh, stop it, Brother Jing Xuan! Have a seat. Fei’er gets off in about fifteen minutes, and the steamed bass will still take a little more time. Let’s wait for her to arrive before we eat?”
“Of course, my elegant and noble hostess!”
Blushing, Liu Xinyu looked every bit the happy, gentle woman. She was radiant.
—Ding-dong—
“Sorry I’m late! Haha!”
“Fei’er, don’t be silly, you’re right on time!”
Qiao Fei and Liu Xinyu embraced warmly.
“Yu-wawa, let go—I’m all chilly from outside.”
“No worries! Here, slippers!”
“Ooh, you really do look like a newlywed bride, haha~”
“Fei’er! Are you teasing me again?!”
“Not at all. So, what yummy things have you cooked? I’m starving!”
The two girls giggled and joined the others at the table. Meanwhile, Gao Zhe and Jing Xuan began setting out the dishes. The dinner was filled with laughter and warmth.
Qiao Fei was clearly famished—she threw caution to the wind and devoured everything in sight. Sauce even smeared on her cheek, unnoticed.
“Fei’er, look at you! Like a little kid—you’ve got sauce all over your face. Don’t move~”
Jing Xuan gently wiped her cheek with a napkin. Qiao Fei didn’t resist at all, accepting the gesture naturally. On the side, Gao Zhe and Liu Xinyu stared, dumbfounded. Jing Xuan’s eyes were full of tenderness, and
Qiao Fei responded with practiced ease—like it was something they’d done a thousand times. A bold thought arose in both their minds at the same time.

After dinner, Gao Zhe led Jing Xuan out to the balcony while Liu Xinyu pulled Qiao Fei into the kitchen.
Two voices asked the same question at the exact same moment, in different places:
“Ajing (Fei’er), what exactly is going on between you and Qiao Fei (Jing Xuan)?”
