Golden Temptation – A Yuri Story - Chapter 38
Jing Xuan met Qiao Fei’s gaze for a brief moment before restarting the car and driving home. The moment they stepped through the door, Qiao Fei’s lips captured her in an unguarded kiss. Whether it was due to nerves or passion, her cheeks were flushed a charming red, her dazed and delicate expression utterly captivating.
With one arm wrapped tightly around her soft body clinging to her, Jing Xuan reached out with the other to turn on the entryway light. Bathed in the dim, amber glow, she shrugged off her jacket, pulled Qiao Fei close with one hand around her fragrant shoulders, and slid her other hand down her smooth, snowy thigh.
Her fingers curled behind her knees, effortlessly lifting her supple body into her arms as she strode toward the bedroom.
Their lips and tongues never parted during the heated exchange. Jing Xuan gently laid Qiao Fei on the large bed and leaned over her. Unlike the recklessness of their first time, she now moved with tenderness, caressing the woman beneath her with loving care. Her hot, wet kisses trailed from her delicate cheek down her neck, along her collarbone, and finally to her chest. Every touch sent tremors through her body.
“Mmm… ah… ahhh…” Her soft moans sent jolts through Jing Xuan’s nerves.
Qiao Fei shed all restraint, passionately responding to her kisses.
Tonight, they would indulge without holding back.

When Lan Qing left, Jing Xuan was notably absent among the people seeing her off. A trace of disappointment settled in her heart. But for the sake of her long-term plans, she knew she had to endure this moment of pain. She kept reminding herself of that.
After collecting herself, Lan Qing bid farewell to each of her close friends. When it came time to say goodbye to Yan Junye and Gao Zhe, she gently urged, “Take care of her for me.”
The two had always seen the depth of Lan Qing’s feelings for Jing Xuan. Now that things had come to this, none of them felt good about it. As they watched Lan Qing walk through the terminal gate, her figure radiated a steely resolve tinged with sorrow, as if she were marching toward death itself.
Gao Zhe felt a pang of doubt in her heart—could Jing Xuan really be worthy of Lan Qing’s love?
Yan Junye also sensed the somber mood, though she remained composed as always.
“Let’s go,” she said, giving Gao Zhe a pat on the shoulder as they walked out of the airport together.

At the Yan Corporation CEO’s office.
Yan Junye dismissed the assistants and sat beside Gao Zhe, holding a cup of freshly brewed espresso from her secretary.
“We’ve found out Jing Cheng’s background, but we haven’t confirmed it yet,” she said.
Gao Zhe, unusually serious, took a sip and replied, “I honestly didn’t expect him to act this fast. I have a feeling he’s not as simple as he seems.”
“What do you mean?”
“How could he have taken down Jing Donghui so easily? Wiped out everything in a single night? Besides, back then, only a handful of the council elders supported him. There’s no way he should’ve had the power to pull it off… and yet, he did.”
“Exactly. It’s always been a mystery. The only thing we can do now is hide Ajing well and wait for Dad’s update.”
“By the way, Uncle Yan… is he really—?”
“Haha, I know what you’re going to ask. Yes, Dad got himself caught by Jing Cheng on purpose. He said, ‘You can’t catch the tiger cub without entering the tiger’s den.’ He believes the only way to uncover the truth is from the inside. I didn’t want him to take the risk, but I’ve arranged people to back him up and extract him if needed. We just need to secure everything on the outside.”
“Uncle Yan is incredible.”
“He’s always been my hero. He’s investigated for years without results, so this is his last resort.”
“Does Grandpa know?”
“No, I haven’t told him. Dad said he’ll confess everything once it’s all over.”
“It’ll be soon, right?”
“Shuangji, I’ll handle the affairs in the underworld. But if… if we fail, you need to ensure Ajing has a way out. I’m counting on you.”
“Don’t worry.”
After finishing her coffee, Gao Zhe left for class. Yan Junye stood by the large floor-to-ceiling window, staring at the skyline that blocked out the sun. She was overwhelmed by an urge—to tear down all those obstacles and let sunlight shine freely once more.

After a night of sweet passion, Jing Xuan and Qiao Fei enjoyed their “breakfast” during lunch hours, brimming with happiness. Jing Xuan then drove her to school.
After parking, she leaned over and gently kissed her rosy lips. “Fei’er, move in with me, okay?”
“No. I need to think about it more.”
“You’ve been thinking for so long. How much longer do you need?”
“Hehe, I just need more time!”
Qiao Fei giggled and nipped her lips before getting out of the car.
Jing Xuan got out too and embraced her tightly. “I’ll pick you up after class.”
Wrapped in her gentle embrace, Qiao Fei truly didn’t want to leave. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to move in—it was that every time she thought of Lan Qing’s heartbroken face, she couldn’t feel at ease. That home had once belonged to Jing Xuan and Lan Qing. Some things, she would need time to slowly adjust to.

After Qiao Fei went to class, Jing Xuan didn’t leave. Instead, she waited in the car for her beloved to finish her day.
Rather than a university, C University felt more like a park. Towering green trees, shimmering lakes, and architecture nestled within the foliage. Students and couples strolled quietly along shaded paths, while the campus shops buzzed with energy—reminding Jing Xuan of her student days in the U.S.
Ninety minutes flew by. The bell rang, echoing through the serene campus. As students poured in and out of classrooms, Jing Xuan waited patiently. Qiao Fei had a full schedule today—this wasn’t the time she’d be coming out. Perhaps she didn’t even know she was waiting there for her.

“Fei’er!”
Qiao Fei looked up and was surprised—and a little repulsed—by who stood in front of her.
“Senior Lin, what is it?” she replied coldly.
Despite her tone, Lin Hao remained unfazed, flashing his usual charming smile.
“Fei’er, do we really have to be so distant?”
“If you have something to say, say it quickly. I’m in a rush.”
“Fei’er, I’ve broken up with Shen Yiling. I—”
“Whatever happens between you two has nothing to do with me. Now move.”
“Fei’er, give me another chance. I love you. Really, I’ve only ever loved you!”
“That’s enough!” Qiao Fei snapped. “Lin Hao, you truly disgust me.”
She shoved past him and rushed off to her next class.
Watching her retreating figure, Lin Hao sneered with a cunning smile.
“Qiao Fei… you’ll come crawling back to me. Just wait and see.”
