Golden Temptation – A Yuri Story - Chapter 42
“Th-this is…!” Lin Jingyuan stared wide-eyed at the video clip on Lin Hao’s phone, completely shocked.
“Dad, surprised? Heh, didn’t you always hate Gao Zhe? Now’s the perfect chance to use this to get her kicked out of school!” Lin Hao’s initial expression of shock faded, replaced by an air of authority.
“Who else knows about this?”
“Qian Xuezhi. He saw it with me.”
“I’ll keep your phone for now. Don’t spread this around, and make sure Qian Xuezhi keeps his mouth shut! I’ll handle it.”
“But Dad~ my phone~”
“You’ll get a new one tomorrow. This one’s gone. Got it?”
“Yeah, got it.”
“Go to bed early. And don’t forget what I told you—win Yiling back and bring her home for dinner tomorrow night.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know~”

The next day, at C University.
“What do you want?”
“Come over for dinner tonight.”
Shen Yiling leaned casually against a tree, twirling her hair in a playful, charming way. But the contempt in her eyes as she looked at Lin Hao was impossible to ignore.
“Senior Lin, I thought we broke up? There’s no need for this anymore. Heh~ If there’s nothing else, I’m heading back to class. Bye. haha!”
Lin Hao rubbed his temples in frustration—his patience was wearing thin.
“Yiling! This is my old man’s request. Our families have known each other for years. No need to make things so tense.”
“Lin Hao, what kind of tone is that? He’s your dad, not mine. Hmph!”
With a disdainful toss of her hair and confident strides, Shen Yiling exited the grove in style. Just then, she spotted the sleek One-77 sports car pulling up with Prince Jing Xuan personally escorting Qiao Fei to class.
“Heh~ There’s Jing Xuan!”
“Prince One-77″—a nickname given to Jing Xuan by C University students—had become a campus legend. After seeing Qiao Fei off, she was about to get into her car when a voice called out:
“Jing Xuan!”
“Huh, it’s you!”
“What? Don’t recognize me anymore?”
“Of course I do, Miss Shen!”
Jing Xuan extended a gentlemanly hand, and Shen Yiling responded graciously.
“Just call me Yiling, no need to be so formal.”
“Haha, heading to class?”
“Yep, I’ve got a class with Fei’er now!”
“Then hurry off. Don’t let me keep you. Let’s catch up another time!”
Jing Xuan got into her car and started the engine.
“Hey! Wait!”
“Hmm? Yiling, something else?”
“Oh—nothing, haha~ See you next time! Bye!”
With a smooth turn and a roar of the engine, the One-77 sped off like a comet.

Shen Yiling deliberately chose to sit next to Qiao Fei in class that day. Qiao Fei didn’t like it but managed not to show any discomfort. On the other side, Liu Xinyu was confused and wary—what on earth was this rich girl up to now?
Surprisingly, Shen Yiling paid close attention in class, even asking Qiao Fei questions when she didn’t understand something. Qiao Fei gladly helped, starting to believe that maybe Shen Yiling had changed. In the back row, Lin Hao and Qian Xuezhi were equally stunned by Yiling’s behavior.
Qian Xuezhi, meanwhile, couldn’t take his lecherous eyes off Liu Xinyu.
“Who would’ve thought,” he leered inwardly, “that the sweet little Xinyu is actually such a…” (thought left suggestively unfinished)
“Hey Hao, new phone? That’s the latest model!”
“Lost my old one.”
“What? That’s a shame~”
“What’s such a shame?”
“Ah—wait, didn’t you forget? That phone had the footage of…”
“Shut it!” Lin Hao snapped. “This is serious. Don’t go blabbing around unless you want to get burned. Only you and I know. Got it?”
“Got it! I—I understand!”
Lin Hao’s cold and ruthless tone made Qian Xuezhi flinch. He wiped imaginary sweat from his brow.
“Yikes, this is the first time I’ve seen Hao look so vicious. What happened to the calm and elegant guy from before?”

Tokyo International Exhibition Center, Japan
“Thank you all for attending SHOWE’s brand launch event! And a special thanks to our stunning models for their brilliant presentation! Now, please welcome the lead designer of this season—Miss Lan Qing!”
With vibrant music and roaring applause, Lan Qing stepped onto the runway in her latest signature design, flanked by two models. Another successful SHOWE fashion show had concluded.

“Mom, Qing’er was amazing!” Hasegawa Xiu gently stroked Nianqing’s cheek.
“And my little Nianqing is the most amazing of all!”
Lan Qing had skillfully slipped past the reporters and camera flashes, returning to her family.
“Aunt Xiu is right! Big sis is the best! Last week’s art exhibition was a huge success too!”
“Alright, alright—Team Twin-Qing is invincible!”
“Yeah~!”
Hasegawa Xiu looked fondly at her two mischievous daughters—so different from the elegant and composed public personas of the Iga family’s famous twins.
“Okay, okay, settle down!”
“Say, Aunt Xiu—where’s Dad?”
“Your father’s home, preparing your celebration party. We’re expecting an important guest tonight!”
Nianqing tugged at her mother’s sleeve playfully. “Ooh, who is it? Tell us!”
“You’ll find out when we get home.”

Iga Residence
“Dad! We’re home!”
“Ah, my girls are back! Haha!” Iga Jonin came out to greet them, joyfully pulling each daughter into a hug.
“Nianqing, Lan Qing, come see who’s here!”
The two girls entered the living room with their father. Hasegawa Shu followed behind, smiling helplessly but lovingly.
“Uncle Nishikawa!”
“Haha! Come give Uncle a hug! My goodness, look how much you’ve grown! Jonin, you’ve raised two wonderful daughters!”
“No, no, not as accomplished as your son Goro!”
Nishikawa Heiji beamed proudly and called his son over.
Only then did Nianqing and Lan Qing notice the young man standing quietly beside Heiji.
“Uncle Iga, Auntie, hello! Nice to meet you, sisters Qing. I’m Nishikawa Goro.”
“Good boy, come sit,” Hasegawa Xiu said warmly. “Goro has grown into a fine young man.”
“Haha, he just got back from Australia yesterday. Finished his studies.”
“Oh, not at all!”
Lan Qing didn’t remember much about Goro, other than that Nishikawa Heiji had always been a sworn brother to her father. The Nishikawa family, deeply entrenched in both finance and underground dealings, was as powerful as the Iga clan.
What annoyed her most was that Goro wouldn’t stop staring at her.
The Nishikawas didn’t visit often—so why now, all the way from Osaka to Tokyo?
Lan Qing recalled the joke she and Nianqing had made before she left home.
Could it be…?
