Golden Temptation – A Yuri Story - Chapter 58
“Haha, an ugly bride? Jing Xuan is a stunning bride!” Qiao Fei chuckled inwardly.
“But you know how scandalous Jing Xuan’s gossip is right now… how could I dare bring her home at a time like this? Besides…”
Qiao Fei thought about Liu Xinyu and Gao Zhe’s coming out, and how Liu’s parents reacted…
“Besides, if my parents found out the truth, I don’t even know what they’d do…”
“What truth?”
Liu Xinyu, Qiao Fei’s best friend, saw her hesitation and seemed to guess what she wasn’t saying — that Jing Xuan was also a woman. Xinyu made the decision for her.
“Well, there’s that child in Singapore… No one really knows the story. I heard she went back to marry some woman. Who knows if it’s true or not.”
“Xinyu, what do you think?”
“I think… Fei’er, don’t be mad, but it’s really hard to say. Men these days are so unreliable, and Jing Xuan is handsome and rich… If it’s not true, why would he admit to it?
But I will say this — I believe Jing Xuan truly loves you.
It’s just… maybe her love has already been divided into many pieces.
Fei’er, I’m just speaking from the heart, I don’t mean to badmouth her. Please don’t be upset…”
“Haha~ I’m not mad, Xinyu. Everything you said makes sense. But I still believe in her.”
“Mm! We both believe in her! Now come eat a skewer — they’re getting cold!”
Even so, Liu Xinyu’s words left Qiao Fei with lingering doubts.
Though she had chosen to trust Jing Xuan, she was still a woman — not a saint. Jing Xuan had been gone for three months now, and she still had no idea what was going on over there.
Every time they talked, Qiao Fei didn’t dare ask too much, afraid Jing Xuan might think she was rushing her. But gradually, even their communication began to fade…
Now that Gao Zhe was avoiding everyone, Qiao Fei had no one to ask.
She wasn’t worried about being betrayed —
She was worried that something might have happened.
Those power struggles and grudges in high-society families couldn’t be predicted by ordinary logic.
Qiao Fei made a silent decision:
If Jing Xuan didn’t come back before the New Year, she would go to Singapore to find her.

Japan, Iga Family.
Lan Qing had settled Jing Xuan in and now stood outside Nianqing’s door, holding a cup of warm milk.
“Sister, are you asleep?”
“No! Come in quickly!”
Nianqing opened the door happily and pulled Lan Qing into a tight hug.
“Uh… Sister…”
Lan Qing carefully held the cup to avoid spilling milk on her sister’s clothes.
“Qinger! Where did you run off to? I was so worried!”
Nianqing’s voice trembled with emotion. When Lan Qing left, it was as if her world had fallen apart. She thought Lan Qing had flown away like a bird, never to return.
“Sister, I’m back now, aren’t I? And um… could you let go a bit? The milk’s really hot.”
“Oh!”
Nianqing quickly released her. Lan Qing set the milk down on the table.
“Did it burn you?”
“No, I’m fine! Sister, I was being stubborn — I made you worry.”
“Don’t be silly. How have you been?”
“I’m doing well. I’ll explain everything in a bit. But Sister, why are you marrying Nishikawa Goro? Did Father force you? Or is it…”
“It was my choice.”
“But Sister, you don’t love him!”
“Qinger, sometimes we don’t get to choose. Some things… are written in fate.”
“Written in fate…?”
“Yes. Destiny… had already written it all out. I’m honored to be born as a daughter of the Iga family. Father and Mother love me dearly. Now, it’s time I repaid them.”
“Sister, what’s really going on?”

Flashback: The night Lan Qing ran away.
Nianqing knocked on Nishikawa Goro’s door.
“Miss Nianqing? It’s quite late. Is something the matter?”
“May I come in to talk?”
“Oh, of course.”
Nishikawa made a polite gesture and welcomed her inside. As soon as he closed the door and turned around, he was shoved hard against it — and then her lips were on his.
Nianqing’s delicate tongue teasingly tangled with his.
Faced with such seduction, Nishikawa’s breathing grew heavy. He wrapped one arm around her slender waist and caressed her chest with the other, eagerly responding. Soon, he took the lead.
Nianqing guided him backward until they fell onto the bed.
Nishikawa grew more and more passionate. He lay over her, kissing her obsessively. His hand slipped beneath her skirt, exploring her smooth skin, hurriedly trying to undress her.
A glint of cunning flashed in Nianqing’s eyes.
She suddenly shifted her legs, wrapping them around his waist, and flipped their positions. Now she straddled him.
Her blouse had already been tugged open, revealing a black lace bra — dangerously seductive.
Nishikawa looked up at her, clearly excited by what was to come. A beauty like this throwing herself at him — how could he resist?
Nianqing stared deep into his eyes. His eager expression made her feel nothing but contempt.
How could a man like this deserve her Lan Qing?
“Lan Qing won’t be marrying you,” she said slowly.
“What?”
“She’s run away.”
“What!”
Panic spread across Nishikawa’s face. He tried to sit up, but Nianqing didn’t budge.
“Miss Nianqing, I need to find my bride. Please move. I don’t want to hurt a beautiful lady like you.”
“Oh? Haha~” Nianqing didn’t move — she just laughed.
“Don’t be so angry, Nishikawa. Lan Qing doesn’t love you. Even if she hadn’t run today, she would’ve left you sooner or later.”
“Please respect Miss Lan Qing. She’s not just my fiancée — she’s your sister!”
“And did you respect her? What was this, then?”
Nishikawa’s face darkened, but then shifted into a smooth smile. He held her waist with both hands.
“I’m guessing Miss Nianqing didn’t throw herself at me for nothing. What’s your real purpose?”
Nianqing gently stroked his handsome face.
“You’re quite smart, Nishikawa. Since your wedding with Lan Qing has already been announced, and she’s run away, both our families have lost face. Invitations are ready to go out — there’s no turning back now.”
“What exactly are you proposing?”
“A simple trade. Are you interested?”
“I’m listening.”
“You’re not Mr. Nishikawa’s biological son, are you?”
“You—!”
He lowered his voice, pressing closer.
“What else do you know?”
“Haha~ You were treated like a burden growing up in the Nishikawa household, weren’t you? And you’ve always resented that man you call father, haven’t you?”
“You know a lot,” he growled, his eyes cold and dangerous. He grabbed at her neck, but Nianqing quickly blocked him, gripping his wrist.
“What, trying to silence me already? You really are impatient.”
“Tch.”
“No need for threats. You want Mr. Nishikawa’s recognition. I can help you — if…”
“Why should I trust you?”
“Oh, if you don’t, that’s fine. I’ll take my leave.”
She stood and headed for the door.
Just as her hand touched the knob, he shouted:
“Wait! How can you help me?”
“Marry me. I have my ways.”
“Terms?”
“A five-year marriage. We live our own lives, don’t interfere with each other. No real relationship, just appearances. After five years, we divorce. You’re still you, I’m still me. Only the two of us will know this deal. If you betray me — don’t expect me to stay silent.”
“And your goal?”
“Just like you — I’m not a real child of the Iga family. And I intend to take it for myself.”
