Got a Happy Ending With My Ex’s Sister? (GL) - Chapter 18: Sneaky
Chapter 18: Sneaky
Tang Yiqiu’s expression was shocked, completely puzzled by Shi Huan pulling a wine bottle from her chest. “Why did you put the wine bottle there?”
“To warm it up,” Shi Huan said, not thinking much of it. She casually took it out and shoved it into Tang Yiqiu’s hands. “Warm wine is way more intoxicating!”
The wine was warm, but the moment it touched her skin, it felt scorching. Tang Yiqiu placed the bottle on the table beside her. “I don’t drink.”
Shi Huan didn’t care. She started looking for cups in the lounge. Tang Yiqiu, who had nowhere else to go, often hung out with the crew when she had free time, so the lounge was fully stocked. Shi Huan not only found two cups but also a decanter. Truth be told, her alcohol tolerance was low, and she wasn’t a big drinker. But ever since she fell for Tang Yiqiu, she’d occasionally have a couple of drinks.
Shi Huan poured the wine into the decanter, gently swirling it a couple of times, and said in a low voice, “Don’t hold yourself back. Chang Qing’s off playing with Wenjing. You can sneak a drink, and then we can properly rehearse.”
“Have you ever seen anyone rehearse a scene like that?” Tang Yiqiu didn’t take the glass, her face serious. “Shi Huan, how can you be so…”
“So what?”
Tang Yiqiu gritted her teeth. “So shameless.”
Shi Huan laughed. “You’re just figuring that out? I’ve always been this shameless.”
Tang Yiqiu closed her eyes, ignoring her.
Shi Huan circled around to her side, holding out the glass. “You already promised, so why are you backing out now?”
Tang Yiqiu picked up the script and flipped through it. Shi Huan pestered her for a few minutes but finally sighed and compromised. “Fine, if you don’t want to rehearse the bed scene with me, at least drink a few glasses with me.”
Tang Yiqiu looked at her. “How many steps did you plan out for this?”
“Huh?” Shi Huan blinked. “You saw through me?”
Tang Yiqiu said, “Your acting’s too obvious.”
This whole scheme was clearly not a one-step plan. When Shi Huan saw the script, she knew Tang Yiqiu would never agree to rehearse the bed scene with her.
So she timed it perfectly, waiting until Tang Yiqiu finished shooting her morning scenes. Then she’d get her drunk and tempt her to let loose. Shi Huan refused to believe Tang Yiqiu wouldn’t get fired up.
Shi Huan raised an eyebrow and asked, “So, do you like me scheming like this?”
Tang Yiqiu stayed silent for a long time. After a while, she picked up the warmed wine, habitually sniffing its aroma before taking a sip.
Shi Huan squatted beside her, deliberately saying in a shy tone, “I warmed it against my chest for a while. Can you smell…”
“No.” Tang Yiqiu downed it in one gulp.
Shi Huan smirked triumphantly and took a sip herself. “Does it taste good? I’m no good at picking wine. Wenjing helped me choose.”
It wasn’t strong liquor, just a fancy brand of fruit wine. It had a hint of fruitiness and… was that a touch of milkiness? Tang Yiqiu stared at her empty glass, blaming Shi Huan’s reckless words for leading her thoughts astray.
Tang Yiqiu tapped her curved fingers against the glass. Shi Huan quickly refilled it a few times, then gently clinked her glass against Tang Yiqiu’s, grinning mischievously. It really felt a bit sneaky.
When Chang Qing returned, the bottle was empty. She stopped at the door, staring at Tang Yiqiu’s flushed face, and asked in shock, “My God, how much did you drink? Why’s your face red like that?”
Tang Yiqiu kept a straight face, squinting at Shi Huan with a hint of resentment in her eyes.
Shi Huan, holding her glass, confessed, “I got Teacher Tang to drink. I didn’t pay attention, and we overdid it. The alcohol’s not strong, though. It won’t get you drunk.”
Chang Qing looked at the two of them, laughing in surprise. “Oh, right, Yiqiu, the funds from the last livestream have been transferred. Sister Rong asked you to take a few photos and post them on Weibo.”
“Do I have to post pictures?” Tang Yiqiu frowned. “I can’t post looking like this. I’ll do it tomorrow.”
“Sister Rong said no. You’ve been off the grid for a month, and your fans are going crazy missing you. I’ll call the makeup artist to come touch up your face, and we’ll put together a nine-grid post.”
As a “fan,” Shi Huan’s eyes lit up instantly. She grabbed her phone and switched to camera mode. “My photography skills are top-notch. Teacher Tang’s Weibo posts are always so serious, like she’s at a board meeting. Snap a couple of her drunk, and the fans will go wild with joy. What do you think?”
Chang Qing thought it over. The idea wasn’t bad. If the fans saw Tang Yiqiu like this, they’d probably scream for days. Even if Tang Yiqiu didn’t post again for a while, it’d keep the buzz going—a win-win. But she hesitated. Tang Yiqiu’s public image was cool and reserved, like a stern official. Wouldn’t this ruin her persona?
Shi Huan added, “It’s fine. People do all sorts of things when they’re drunk. Posting pics like this won’t be an issue.”
Tang Yiqiu, who’d been ignoring her, felt a bit offended. She glanced at Shi Huan sideways. “What did I do?”
“Hey, don’t take the blame.” Shi Huan winked at Chang Qing, hinting, “Right? Look at her now. Isn’t she adorable? If you’re unsure, snap the pics and send them to Sister Ye Rong first. Ask her.”
“That works!” Chang Qing nodded. Honestly, this was her first time seeing Tang Yiqiu this drunk, and she did look pretty cute.
The two hit it off. Tang Yiqiu, of course, wouldn’t let them take photos, but how could she resist Shi Huan’s shamelessness? Shi Huan circled her with the phone, snapping several shots in rapid succession.
Finally, exasperated by Shi Huan’s antics, Tang Yiqiu slumped over the chair’s backrest, glaring at her with a dark expression. But the alcohol hadn’t worn off, making her look more like she was tipsy and playfully sulking.
Shi Huan froze. “…”
This was too cute. She was done for!
Shi Huan quickly snapped the shot and backed it up. Tang Yiqiu grabbed her phone and said coldly, “Why save this? Delete it.”
“No way!” Shi Huan sent the photos to Chang Qing. “Ask Chang Qing if it’s not super cute. It’s practically fan service!”
Chang Qing nodded enthusiastically. “I think you’re adorable too. I’ll send them to Sister Rong to see if the team needs to edit them. Hehe.”
Tang Yiqiu’s expression shifted. She snatched Shi Huan’s phone and stuffed it into her pocket, her face cold, signaling that if Shi Huan didn’t stop Chang Qing, she could kiss her phone goodbye.
Shi Huan boldly reached out, saying slyly, “Fine, keep it. I don’t care. There’s nothing in there anyway.”
Tang Yiqiu frowned, annoyed by the two of them.
Meanwhile, Ye Rong replied quickly, first with an exclamation mark, then a voice message: “You took those? She actually let you take photos like that? Is she really that drunk?”
“No way, just a little tipsy,” Chang Qing said, glancing at the two. Shi Huan was still coaxing Tang Yiqiu, who looked stern but had a slight upward tilt to her brows, not truly angry.
Chang Qing smiled. “I didn’t take them. Huan Huan did. If you think they’re okay, I’ll post them for Teacher Tang.”
“Shi Huan took them?” Ye Rong sounded puzzled, then sighed. “Haven’t seen her in a few days, and our Yiqiu’s really letting loose. The photos are great—post them directly. Just don’t make the caption too wild.”
“Got it!” Chang Qing ended the voice call and asked, “Yiqiu, should I post on Weibo for you, or do you want to do it?”
“I’ll do it.” Tang Yiqiu took out her phone. Shi Huan stood on tiptoe, eagerly watching. “Let me see what caption you wrote.”
Tang Yiqiu’s fingers swiftly navigated the interface, opening Weibo. As Shi Huan leaned in, she quickly turned away, not letting her see a thing. “Keep messing around, and I won’t post.”
Shi Huan stood up straight. “Fine, fine, I won’t look.” Hmph, she’d just check it later in bed, scrolling through Weibo as much as she wanted.
Tang Yiqiu kept typing, then added photos. Her gallery was full of her pictures, and for a moment, she was confused, unable to recall when she’d taken so many. There were a few less outrageous ones, so she selected those and posted.
Chang Qing, seeing her finish, scrolled on her phone. “Is it a network lag? I don’t see your Weibo post. Why’s Weibo acting up suddenly…”
“Probably. My signal was spotty a few days ago too,” Shi Huan said, asking Tang Yiqiu for her phone. She wanted to check Tang Yiqiu’s post and maybe log into her side account to secretly repost it, joining the fans in shouting, “Wife, I’m in love!”
After some begging, Tang Yiqiu handed it over. Shi Huan unlocked the screen, then gave it back. “This is yours. I want to play with mine.”
Their phones were the same brand and color—Shi Huan had switched hers on purpose, so sneaking it felt like they had couple phones. Tang Yiqiu reached into her other pocket to grab Shi Huan’s phone, but as she pulled it out, her face froze.
“What’s wrong?” Shi Huan asked, confused.
The next second, Chang Qing fell off her chair, trembling as she said, “Oh no, oh no, Yiqiu, you posted on the wrong Weibo!”
