Guide Her to Nowhere (NPH) - Chapter 19: Are You Ready This Time?
Chapter 19: Are You Ready This Time?
Shi Xi was not as calm and composed as he appeared. He gripped Qu Tang’s hand tightly, causing her knuckles to ache.
“What if I say no?”
“Then I’ll find the person you were supposed to meet here and kill them.”
Qu Tang felt a chill run from her feet up through her entire body.
So these past few days of freedom had been an illusion created by Shi Xi. He had made it clear through his actions that she had always been under his control, crushing any thoughts she had of escaping.
It was a deadly blow.
“Don’t hesitate too long. If that person gets tired of waiting for you and decides to come look for you, and ends up in my hands, that won’t be good.”
Qu Tang didn’t know if Shi Xi had been monitoring her phone calls or had people following her, but either way, Yi Jin could not be exposed.
“I’ll go with you,” Qu Tang said, standing up abruptly.
“Hmph.” Shi Xi reluctantly got up, holding her hand as they got into the car waiting by the roadside.
“You’re protecting him so much? Who is he? That sentinel whose scent has lingered on you?” Once in the car, Shi Xi started to act up, hugging Qu Tang and sniffing her cheeks, neck, and palms.
Qu Tang hesitated for a moment, then nodded, “Mm.”
Shi Xi paused his movements, then asked jokingly, “Were you meeting him to elope?”
“Mm.”
The car fell silent for a long while.
“Do you like him?”
“Mm.”
“Why?”
“He won’t force me to do things I don’t want to.”
“Things you don’t want to? Hmph.” Shi Xi let out a cold laugh. “So you willingly let him kiss you?”
Without waiting for Qu Tang’s response, he continued, “Well, since you say you like him.”
Shi Xi began caressing Qu Tang’s palm, the pressure increasing. “I’m so angry.”
“Turn the car around,” Shi Xi commanded the driver.
“Yes, young master.”
“What are you going to do?” Qu Tang was like a cat with its tail stepped on.
“What do you think? I’m going to find your beloved and kill him. Did you expect me to invite him for tea?”
Before Qu Tang could respond, Shi Xi pushed her against the car door, leaning in close enough for her to see her own reflection in his angry dark eyes.
“Why can’t I do that? I’ll kill him and then chop him up to feed the dogs.” Shi Xi gripped Qu Tang’s neck. “I told you, Qu Tang, you’re not allowed to let other sentinels touch you.”
He sniffed and licked her. “You should be grateful I didn’t smell his scent on you, or else I would’ve…”
“Eaten you bit by bit.”
He forcibly pried open her mouth, sliding his tongue in to kiss her.
Qu Tang didn’t resist, nor did she respond, remaining like a wooden block.
Shi Xi stopped kissing her and started laughing, the sound low and almost like a whimper.
“Shi Xi, please let me go.”
Shi Xi didn’t say anything, just staring at her.
He looked tired, his eyes red-rimmed, as if he hadn’t rested in a long time.
“Qu Tang, you’re always full of lies. The way you act makes me doubt whether you truly like him.”
Qu Tang felt Shi Xi’s eyes were not shedding tears, but looked as if he were crying.
She averted her gaze. “I’m sorry.”
“You won’t even look at me.”
“Why are you afraid to look at me?”
Shi Xi was always the one to find his own answers. “Since you don’t like me, it means you despise me and don’t want to see me.”
The car was silent for a long while until they returned to the fountain square. Shi Xi then spoke again:
“It’s okay, as long as I like you.”
He had the driver park the car in an alley across from the square, ensuring they could see the people on the square from the window.
Dismissing the driver, Shi Xi picked up Qu Tang, positioning her to lean against the car window. He then pressed himself against her from behind, slipping one hand into her clothes and the other between her legs.
“Are you ready this time, sister?”
