Qu Tang’s strength was nothing to the sentinel, but having her vital spot gripped still made him quite irritated.

Shi Xi’s green eyes seemed to glow, as if he had tasted some delicacy, his tongue slowly licking his lips.

It wasn’t him tasting it, but his spiritual body.

Qu Tang didn’t care about anything else, she grabbed the black snake and pulled it off, pressing her hand against the door, trying to stop the bleeding.

With the hood still over her head, she could only hear people speaking.

“Shi Xi, don’t forget what we came out here to do.”

Qu Tang recognized the voice as that of the sentinel called Shen Qi.

“How bothersome.” Shi Xi reluctantly licked Qu Tang’s wound to stop the bleeding, before finally releasing her.

For the rest of the journey, Qu Tang remained in a hazy, semi-conscious state, fighting to stay awake. When they reached their destination, she heard Shi Xi take a call, then ask Shen Qi to take her away separately, saying he would deal with her later.

Qu Tang didn’t hear Shen Qi’s response, but a few minutes later, the passenger door opened and her hood was yanked off. Blinking her eyes, she saw the person was Shen Qi.
