He is not my Alpha! - Chapter 15
Because there was a summary session after the performance, the two of them could only go and remove their makeup first.
Shang Yan was focused on watching Ji Yifei’s performance earlier and missed the main time for makeup removal.
Sure enough, as soon as the two arrived at the restroom, a crowd was blocking the entrance, removing their makeup. The girls’ restroom was fine with orderly queues, but the boys’ restroom…
A closer look revealed it was completely a “Water Splashing Festival” scene.
This was not the teaching building, so there were no fine distinctions between male/female restrooms, plus the ABO division. Whether due to excitement or some other reason, a mixture of pheromones and hormones exploded in the air.
Ji Yifei felt his scent gland become somewhat uncomfortable smelling this mixed scent. The two stood at the restroom entrance at a loss.
Ji Yifei pointed at the “disaster scene,” turned to look at Shang Yan, and asked, “How about we grab a bottle of mineral water and wash up next to a trash can?”
Shang Yan nodded in agreement. The two walked side-by-side to the backstage area to get mineral water.
Ji Yifei first used the water to remove his makeup. Shang Yan watched him finish washing and pulled out some tissues from his pocket. Ji Yifei burst out laughing.
Ji Yifei: “Hey, Shang Yan, I hadn’t realized you had the potential to be a mother hen! You’ve probably pulled out an entire pack of tissues from your pocket all day today.” He took the tissues Shang Yan handed him and wiped his face.
He casually took the glasses off the Alpha next to him and held them, then handed over the water.
Shang Yan followed Ji Yifei’s steps, applying makeup remover to his face first. While rubbing his face, he replied, “That’s right, a very thoughtful, warm-hearted Alpha. Are you tempted?” He then took the water Ji Yifei poured, washed his face, and his movements were quick and neat.
Ji Yifei didn’t even have time to remind him not to rub so hard. Not to be so harsh on his own face.
Shang Yan wiped himself dry, threw away the tissues, and rubbed his hands. Washing his face with mineral water in the middle of winter, he was invincible.
He reached out for his glasses from Ji Yifei, only to find that Ji Yifei had already put them on his own face at some point.
“Shang Yan, I have to say, your glasses are quite heavy. Doesn’t it hurt wearing them all day?” He put both hands into his down jacket pockets, looked at Shang Yan, and said, “Hello, student, my name is Shang Yan.” He then reached out to shake hands with the real “Shang Yan.”
Shang Yan smiled. He knew Ji Yifei was imitating their first meeting. Back then, the two had no interaction. He had thought of many ways to greet Shang Yan, but in the end, when he met the person, he chose the stupidest one.
He still remembered the rumor about Ji Yifei fighting eight people alone, earning him the reputation of “school bully.” He hadn’t quite believed it, and meeting the person in real life made him deny it even more.
He reached out and removed the glasses from Ji Yifei’s face. When his hand touched his temple, he felt that the person’s face was very hot.
But perhaps it was just that his hand was too cold.
After putting on his glasses, he reached out to Ji Yifei and replied, “Hello, my name is Ji Yifei.”
He noticed that Ji Yifei’s hand seemed warmer than his own.
The two exchanged greetings and prepared to change clothes. When they got to the changing room, as expected, the smell was the same as at the restroom entrance, only thicker.
But Ji Yifei sincerely felt that ninety percent of it was male Alpha pheromones. He couldn’t help but cover his nose.
Shang Yan noticed his action and said, “How about we wait until after dinner to change in the restroom?”
Ji Yifei nodded and exclaimed, “I’ll invent a type of clothing that can isolate Alpha pheromones sooner or later. I’ll wrap myself up tightly and never smell Alpha scent again.”
Shang Yan turned his head to look at him, with an expression that was hard to read.
Ji Yifei seemed to understand that look. A memory flashed in his mind like a slideshow.
Ji Yifei awkwardly laughed again, but then suddenly stopped walking. He reached out and tugged Shang Yan, while his other hand covered his scent gland.
“What’s wrong?” The person in front asked. Shang Yan turned around, saw Ji Yifei’s action, and understood that his pheromone disorder was acting up.
Despite the fact that the two never talked about it after the last rut, facts were facts, and this could not be erased.
After the two came out of the corner of the utility room, Ji Yifei’s down jacket was zipped up all the way, and he wore his hood, looking down.
The two didn’t speak the entire time, but Ji Yifei’s conscience was acting up, so he deliberately walked behind Shang Yan. He looked down at Shang Yan’s feet and followed him towards the cafeteria. But before they walked much further, the person in front suddenly stopped. Ji Yifei didn’t stop in time, and his head bumped into the down jacket in front.
He smelled the faint mint scent again.
He poked his head out from behind Shang Yan, “Shang…” before the word could leave his mouth, he saw a group of people surrounding Shang Yan. A girl emerged from the crowd, tip-toed to the Alpha, and lowered her head, handing out an envelope.
Ji Yifei really regretted sticking his head out. That pink envelope was too attention-grabbing; he couldn’t ignore it.
He quickly moved from behind Shang Yan and stood next to him. The girl opposite was stunned when she saw Ji Yifei’s face. She spoke, “Student Shang… Shang Yan, this is a love letter I wrote for you…” She then lowered her head, and the group behind her started cheering.
Ji Yifei suddenly thought that if he and Shang Yan were ordinary friends, he could have walked over generously and teased him a bit right now.
But the faintly visible mark on the back of his neck reminded him that he and Shang Yan were currently not ordinary friends.
What ordinary friends would have a temporary mark? Even if the mark was ambiguous.
Perhaps it was the Omega’s nature acting up after the marking. Ji Yifei scratched his head, felt that he shouldn’t be present at this scene, mumbled a sentence, and left quickly.
Shang Yan heard Ji Yifei’s “Shang” and turned his head, but Ji Yifei quickly said, “I’ll go queue at the cafeteria first!” and rushed away.
He had just been following closely behind him moments ago.
— Is the cafeteria that charming?
He rejected the girl in front of him, stating that he had no plans to date. Then someone from behind shouted, “Senior Shang, that’s not what you said this morning!”
He looked past the girl at the person who had tried to ask Ji Yifei for his WeChat this morning.
The girl in front of him also bravely looked up and asked, “Student Shang Yan… did you really reject me because you already have a girlfriend?”
The girl’s voice was choked up. Shang Yan felt she might cry. He explained to her that he wasn’t dating anyone and was just helping a friend out of an awkward situation this morning.
The girl finally ran away. Shang Yan called out to the junior student, pulled him over, and said, “I was joking with a classmate this morning. He wanted to refuse you but was too embarrassed to say it, so I helped.”
After saying that, he turned and left, leaving the junior student standing there in a daze.
By the time Shang Yan rushed to the cafeteria, seeing the sea of heads, he started regretting his slow speed in resolving the situation.
Otherwise, the two could have queued together.
Shang Yan chalked it up to bad luck and planned to buy something from the convenience store, but his shoulder was tapped.
“Here, I bought one for you too. You owe me breakfast tomorrow!”
Ji Yifei held an egg pancake in each hand. Sesame seeds, presumably from today’s fried sesame ball from Window No. 2, still clung to his mouth. It was hard to connect this person with the one who was sparkling on the stage just now.
Just as Shang Yan was about to say thank you, he heard Li Jiang shouting, “You have to take responsibility for it!”
Perhaps his voice was too loud, or perhaps the sentence was too explosive, but the cafeteria suddenly went quiet.
This gave Ji Yifei the feeling of a vegetable market instantly turning into a library.
Li Jiang took the opportunity to grab the stopped Zhou Tian. While catching his breath, he explained, “Zhou… Zhou Tian… you f*cking have to take responsibility for this egg pancake…”
The eyes that were focused on the food trays all turned to the two. Ji Yifei and Shang Yan also walked closer, seeing Li Jiang earnestly saying to Zhou Tian:
“This sausage is equivalent to the egg pancake’s scent gland. You’ve taken it away. How can the remaining egg and pancake live!”
Zhou Tian was sadly burdened with the title of “Scum Alpha,” but the argument was endless and finally ended in failure when someone tried to record it to post on the campus network.
Shang Yan, on the other hand, was completely frozen in attention.
Ji Yifei was laughing so hard his mouth wouldn’t close, watching the scene next to him. He was laughing and saying why the two didn’t think to report the student with the phone.
He also expressed that they should argue a little longer; he hadn’t seen enough.
Li Jiang walked over to Ji Yifei and Shang Yan to seek justice. “Zhou Tian doesn’t want to eat the pancake and egg after eating the sausage! He does this every time, only eating what he likes and leaving the rest for me!”
Ji Yifei listened to his accusation, laughing heartily, but still pretended to be calm and nodded affirmingly, echoing, “Exactly, Zhou Tian, how can you be like this.”
Zhou Tian, meanwhile, was silently munching on the remaining egg pancake. Fulfilling his due responsibility to the egg pancake.
When Li Jiang was done with his accusations, he then said, “Actually, I’m not forcing him to eat, but how can he be full just eating the sausage? It’s not okay for him to be a picky eater like this!” His voice softened as he pointed to the corner and said, “What if he ends up like Wen Xinxin, eating so little, always sickly?”
He then lamented, “How does he survive eating so little every day?”
Ji Yifei and Shang Yan followed his hand and saw the person sitting in the corner, small and thin, curled up, nibbling on a single Shaomai (steamed dumpling) in tiny bites.
Li Jiang continued, “If I ate that, it would be gone in two bites, instantly!” He then put his hand on Zhou Tian’s body.
Shang Yan’s gaze caught this scene. A certain fact rushed out and struck him. He lamented, “Then you truly are amazing,” and prepared to leave with Ji Yifei.
Ji Yifei, however, wanted to stay and continue eating. Shang Yan pointed at his and his own clothes. Ji Yifei then remembered that he hadn’t changed clothes yet.
The two said goodbye to Li Jiang and Zhou Tian and went to the changing room, eating the things they had bought along the way.
The two tacitly avoided mentioning the confession incident just now.
Li Jiang watched the two of them walk away and asked, “Do you feel like Shang Yan and Ji Yifei’s relationship… is heating up a little too fast?”
Zhou Tian was still taking responsibility for his pancake and didn’t answer him.
Li Jiang noticed Zhou Tian ignored him, turned to look at him, stretched out his hand to tug Zhou Tian’s face, and continued, “Two young and vigorous people, an Alpha and an Omega, it somehow feels a bit unsafe…”
Zhou Tian finally finished the pancake, pulled a bottle of water out of Li Jiang’s pocket, twisted it open, and drank. He then replied, “Are two Alphas very safe then?”
Li Jiang’s face flushed a little at this remark. But then he saw the water in Zhou Tian’s hand, quickly snatched it back and put it in his pocket, then pulled out a small thermos from another pocket and put it in his hand, scolding, “Didn’t I tell you not to drink cold water? Go drink warm water.”
Zhou Tian rolled his eyes helplessly at the person beside him. He pushed away the hand resting on his shoulder and said, “Let’s go back to class.”
Li Jiang smiled, put his hand back on him, and followed him out of the cafeteria. But at the corner, he pulled him into a surveillance blind spot, kissed him, and smiled, saying, “If you drink cold water again, I’ll kiss you for every sip.”
Zhou Tian looked at him, twitched his lips, leaned in closer, slowly released a little of his own pheromones, stared into Li Jiang’s eyes, and said, “Then go right ahead.”
He then leaned in again, lightly brushing his lips but then pulling back slightly. Their eyes were inches apart. The unique Alpha hormone lingered between their breaths.
In the end, it was Li Jiang who couldn’t hold back. He replied, “I’m truly ruined because of you,” placed his hand on the back of the person’s head, and pushed forward.
This time, the contact lasted much longer than the previous touch. Uncontrollable emotions surged between the two.
Both of them closed their eyes. The enclosed space and the dark environment infinitely magnified their senses. Zhou Tian felt the hand Li Jiang pressed on the back of his head slightly trembling.
They used the most primal way to provide each other warmth in the cold winter.
When the two walked out again, they stood in the cold wind for five minutes to calm down, ensuring the smell on them was blown away by the wind.
“Zhou Tian, you f*cking try releasing pheromones next time.” Li Jiang was so cold he could barely speak. The heat he had just generated was all blown away, leaving only his mouth and a certain part of his body still warm.
Zhou Tian glanced at him and replied, “You think carefully about who wanted to release them.”
Finally, the two made sure they were cool and dry before walking back to the classroom. Ji Yifei and Shang Yan were already seated in the classroom. As soon as they sat down, Ji Yifei in front turned around and asked, “Damn, did you two eat for that long?”
Li Jiang rolled his eyes and replied, “It’s all Zhou Tian’s fault for saying he was cold. We ate another bowl of hot noodles.”
Zhou Tian lowered his head and “hmm’d” in response. Ji Yifei noticed that Li Jiang’s lips were a bit swollen and said, “Then you two must have been really cold. Were your lips scalded?”
This time, both Li Jiang and Zhou Tian only replied with an “hmm.” Ji Yifei wanted to continue chatting, but Shang Yan beside him told him to turn back, saying he would explain the problem to him.
Ji Yifei “oh’d” and turned around, only to meet Shang Yan’s expression of indescribable emotion.
Ji Yifei slowly said, “If you really don’t want to explain… it’s okay…”
Shang Yan shook his head and replied, “I don’t know whether to say you have strong emotional inertia or are overly sensitive.”
Ji Yifei was completely confused by this.
In the end, Shang Yan still explained, but the broadcast came on soon after, announcing the rankings of the programs.
