He is not my Alpha! - Chapter 2
(Shang Yan’s Bedroom)
Just a second ago, Ji Yifei was still thinking in his mind…
Ji Yifei grabbed Shang Yan’s clothes, looking at the other party with hazy eyes, wishing he could pull the other person’s mouth to his own neck, but the only remaining rationality screamed in his mind, and he had to control himself. Looking at the Alpha in front of him, his craving for his pheromones had reached its peak, and his lips stammered, unable to speak.
Shang Yan was also affected by that look. “I’ll find you an inhibitor. Don’t move…” He finished and hurried towards the bedroom. The Omega’s pheromones in the room were getting stronger, but how could he, as an Alpha, not be affected?
Ji Yifei tried hard to restrain his physiological desire, nodded, and sat back on the sofa.
When Shang Yan returned, Ji Yifei was only wearing a thin autumn top and trousers… He had taken off his heavy down jacket and his sunglasses. Perhaps the only remaining consciousness made him keep the autumn wear.
The scent of jasmine in the living room was even stronger. The Alpha was now completely surrounded by a field of jasmine flowers. He swallowed a mouthful of saliva, fighting his desire, and walked towards Ji Yifei with the inhibitor.
Shang Yan looked at Ji Yifei lying on the sofa and noticed his eyes were very swollen. Ji Yifei seemed to notice the Alpha’s gaze and quickly reached out to cover his eyes. This posture made Shang Yan involuntarily swallow, and he slowly said, “Come here, I’ll give you the shot…”
Before Shang Yan could finish speaking, Ji Yifei was like a runaway horse, his pheromones gushing out even more fiercely. The rushing pheromones hit Shang Yan. The two of them already had a mark, and now their sense of possession and dependence on each other was very strong. Shang Yan had to rush over and try to inject into Ji Yifei’s gland.
But before he could even touch the gland, the Omega’s hands were already on him. Shang Yan was completely wrapped up. Ji Yifei couldn’t help but hug Shang Yan and reached for Shang Yan’s neck. He craved that cool pheromone.
Ji Yifei, with the instinct of an Omega, knew what Shang Yan was trying to do and reached out, attempting to snatch the inhibitor from Shang Yan’s hand. Ji Yifei’s actions also startled Shang Yan. He didn’t know what to do at all. Ji Yifei’s other hand was also mischievous, constantly stirring up fire on Shang Yan’s body.
Shang Yan said, “Ji Yifei, didn’t you say you wouldn’t let me touch you just now?” His voice had become hoarse, and the Alpha’s wildness was screaming in his mind. The line of rationality was about to break.
At this moment, Ji Yifei had lost the ability to think. His mind was full of the feeling of Shang Yan doing him yesterday, and the intense pleasure of having his pheromones injected when he bit his back neck…
Ji Yifei bit his lip, leaned close to Shang Yan’s ear, and said, “Good husband… please…”
“Good husband” was what Shang Yan had forced Ji Yifei to call him in his dream yesterday when he was doing him. This word touched Shang Yan’s breaking point. He knew that Ji Yifei was currently only controlled by instinct. He had already unknowingly made one mistake, and he didn’t want another.
Shang Yan asked, “Ji Yifei, do you know who I am?”
Shang Yan originally thought Ji Yifei would pull away upon hearing this, but the person on him directly called him “Shang Yan husband”…
In fact, Shang Yan had already been aroused by him. Since he was the one who initiated it, there was nothing he could do.
When they entered the room again, the scent of jasmine was even heavier. Although only a few minutes had passed, to an Omega in heat, it felt like years of unbearable torment.
Three hours later.
Ji Yifei’s mood was very complicated now.
He looked again at Shang Yan beside him. Actually, he… didn’t really hate it.
But he absolutely didn’t like him! He was only like this because he was in heat and couldn’t help it! Worst case scenario… when Shang Yan goes into his rut, he’ll help him out too.
Perhaps because he was too tired these past few days, Ji Yifei fell asleep again in Shang Yan’s arms. Shang Yan had cleaned him up, and he was wearing Shang Yan’s pajamas, lying next to him.
He was woken up again by the person next to him shaking him. Ji Yifei rubbed his eyes, thinking for a moment that he had a strange dream—how could he be inexplicably marked by Shang Yan…
“Your mom called you.” Shang Yan reached out and handed the phone to the person in bed. Ji Yifei was stunned.
W-T-F, what does this mean?
Ji Yifei had to admit now that none of this was a dream; it was hard, undeniable reality. He reached out to take the phone, saw the name displayed, and quickly answered.
“Your dad and I are staying in that house tonight, you go straight to school tomorrow when you feel better.” A slightly hoarse female voice came from the other end of the line. Ji Yifei replied “Okay” and quickly hung up.
Shang Yan could probably guess the person was Ji Yifei’s mother. He could tell Ji Yifei definitely hadn’t told his family about this kind of thing.
The already awkward atmosphere became even tenser, until Ji Yifei finally broke the embarrassing silence.
“We… we…” Ji Yifei didn’t expect himself to stammer like this one day. He originally wanted to jokingly suggest, “How about we become friends with benefits,” but he felt like Shang Yan wasn’t the type to take a joke.
The two of them were silent for a while longer. Shang Yan swallowed and said, “How about you stay here tonight? We’ll talk about the rest when we go to school tomorrow.” Shang Yan was also in a very complicated mood. Everything was too coincidental. Before the marking issue was resolved, they’d slept together again.
The most unbelievable things were now reality.
Ji Yifei reached an arm out from under the blanket, scratched the back of his head, and said, “I… I’ll listen to you.” He didn’t know how else to respond; the atmosphere couldn’t be any more awkward!
Shang Yan gave a faint “Mm,” stood up, and said, “You can use this room today, I’ll go to the other room.” He then got up and left. He tripped over a piece of clothing while getting out of bed. Ji Yifei watched him look down at it and then hurry out. Only after confirming the person was in the other room did he hurriedly get out of bed.
He was completely naked now. Streaking around someone else’s house so shamelessly was really… really that kind of thing.
Shang Yan had left a new set of clothes on the bedside table, undoubtedly his own. Beside it were also a loaf of bread and a bottle of milk.
Ji Yifei couldn’t help but lift the corner of his mouth, then reached out and heavily smacked his forehead.
After changing his clothes and lying back on the bed, he realized… the mixed pheromones of the Alpha and Omega in the room were incredibly thick. These scents entered his body, constantly reminding him of the terrible things that had happened yesterday.
He couldn’t help but cover his face, wanting to scream loudly, but thinking of Shang Yan in the next room, he suppressed his urge.
He drifted off to sleep on the bed and was woken up the next day by Shang Yan.
“Ji Yifei, time to get up. We have to go back to school today,” Shang Yan nudged the person in bed. Ji Yifei sat up, dazed for a moment, and then remembered he had to return to school today.
“Fine, you go out first, I’m going to change.” Ji Yifei wanted to stretch but found his whole body sore and weak. He tried to get up but realized he couldn’t move at all.
He felt like his whole body had fallen apart.
He picked up his phone and saw it was only 6:30 AM. Shang Yan was a devil. After exhausting him like this yesterday, he was still waking him up to go back to school, showing no consideration for his well-being.
Ji Yifei sniffled, realizing he had a slight cold. After getting dressed, he specifically buttoned his shirt up to the very top.
He went into the private bathroom in the room and looked in the mirror. His eyes were less swollen, but he was completely drained. He quickly washed up and went out.
“Let’s go.” He saw Shang Yan sitting on the sofa in the living room looking at his phone. Shang Yan heard him, got up, put on his backpack, and walked to the door.
After opening the door, Shang Yan realized the person behind him hadn’t moved.
“What’s wrong? Did you forget something?” Shang Yan asked. He noticed Ji Yifei’s expression suddenly turn bad. Ji Yifei pointed behind him. Shang Yan looked back but didn’t see anything.
“Did you see a ghost?”
“I… I didn’t bring my school bag.”
Ji Yifei honestly wanted to slap himself a few times. Returning to school without a school bag—that’s seriously ridiculous.
Shang Yan was also stunned. He had been surprised by too many things over the past two days, but this one genuinely made him want to laugh.
In the end, Shang Yan went to school, and Ji Yifei went home alone to get his school bag. When Shang Yan arrived at school, the first class had already started. He quietly snuck in through the back door and saw that only the two seats by the window in the last row were left.
Needless to say, it was normal that only these seats were left since he hadn’t been there for seat selection at the start of the term. He walked over with his backpack and saw Chen Haojiang turn his head. The rest of the people were focused on the lecture.
He chose the seat near the aisle, leaving the inner one for the person who hadn’t arrived yet. The class only had a few minutes left. Most teachers usually talk about goals for the semester in the first class, which was boring, and he wasn’t interested in listening. He stared at the blackboard and started thinking about the events of the past few days…
As the math teacher finished organizing his things and walked away after class, a large group of people immediately crowded the back row, surrounding Shang Yan and talking at once.
“Shang Yan, sorry about this, buddy. The homeroom teacher wouldn’t let us leave the spot empty, so you’ll have to make do with living with the great Ji for this month.”
“Shang Yan, we know you two don’t get along, but Ji Yifei’s grades are pretty good, so you two can spar a bit as desk-mates…”
Several people offered various explanations about the seat. They couldn’t help it; the homeroom teacher wouldn’t allow empty seats. Everyone knew Ji Yifei and Shang Yan didn’t get along. Although no one had witnessed any major conflicts, everyone understood that a School Bully and a School Prince—these two roles—were definitely a case of one mountain not tolerating two tigers.
After a while, someone shouted from the back door, “Shang Yan, someone is looking for you.” The people surrounding Shang Yan all turned their heads to look. Recognizing the person who came, they started to cheer.
“Holy cow, isn’t that the Campus Belle, Lin Daiya? She’s looking for Shang Yan…” one person whispered. Everyone around understood: Campus Belle and School Prince, a match made in heaven. Shang Yan got up and walked over. Lin Daiya pulled him towards the water fountain. On the way past the stairwell, they ran into Ji Yifei, who had just arrived.
As Ji Yifei came upstairs, he saw Lin Daiya walking with Shang Yan and met Shang Yan’s eyes. But he didn’t stop and continued walking in the opposite direction.
As soon as he reached the classroom, he heard a few people discussing the matter. Ji Yifei saw only one empty seat left. He sat down, but before the seat was even warm, a group of people surrounded him again, asking him why he was late.
“Got a cold,” Ji Yifei answered while tidying his school bag. The group repeated the same explanation they had given Shang Yan to Ji Yifei. Ji Yifei raised the corner of his mouth and replied, “It’s fine, it’s just one month.”
Before anyone could fully grasp the meaning of his words, the warning bell for the next class rang. Everyone returned to their seats. After a while, the class bell rang, and Shang Yan finally arrived.
He sat down next to Ji Yifei and asked, “Did you bring your school bag?” Ji Yifei replied, “I did.” Then, both of them tacitly stopped communicating.
After a day of listening to teachers drone on about the semester’s goals, Ji Yifei felt incredibly bored. As soon as night class ended, he grabbed his things and rushed to the dorm. His bed hadn’t been made yet.
But when he reached the ground floor of the dorm, he realized a critical problem. The school’s elevator wasn’t working today, so where should he put all his stuff…
Dorm assignments were based on ABO secondary gender plus male/female gender. Male Omegas and female Omegas lived in the same building. He felt too embarrassed to ask an Omega to help him carry his things. He quietly walked around the sports field for a bit, waiting until most people had returned to their dorms before slowly moving his things up himself.
When he finally moved everything to his dorm, he saw that the few Omegas on the beds were already lying down. When they saw Ji Yifei finally arrive, they quickly got up and got off their beds.
“Oh my god, Ji, you’re finally back! Do you know what huge gossip you missed?” Jiang Jie said, walking over and enthusiastically recounting what had just happened.
In short, Shang Yan had surprisingly come downstairs to the dorm, asking someone to hand over something to an Omega. Connecting this with the events of the morning, it was obvious that the Omega must be Lin Daiya.
Ji Yifei was annoyed just hearing Shang Yan’s name and remained silent the whole time. Everyone understood that Ji Yifei wasn’t usually interested in gossip, so after finishing their story and chatting for a bit, they returned to their beds.
As Ji Yifei was unpacking his things, he wondered, if Shang Yan and Lin Daiya really had something going on, what would become of his unclear mark with Shang Yan…
