Her Little Mute Omega [Rebirth] - Chapter 8
Several ab machines had been vacated, creating a relatively spacious area.
The oppressive aura surrounding Lu Chan deterred others from approaching. Even the personal trainers kept their distance.
For a moment, the two women seemed to find tranquility amid the bustling gym.
Mu Jin’s face lit up with a radiant smile, her jet-black eyes gleaming like the first rays of dawn.
“Start with five sets of simple stretches to prevent muscle soreness after your workout,” Lu Chan instructed, pausing to ask, “Do you know how to stretch properly?”
Mu Jin’s cheeks flushed crimson as she nodded vigorously, eager to avoid being mistaken for a fitness novice. She always did warm-up stretches before her morning runs.
Seeing this, Lu Chan stepped back two paces, creating even more space.
Under Lu Chan’s icy gaze, Mu Jin felt the pressure intensify. Her usually smooth stretches became awkward and jerky.
“Miss Mu, stop looking around. Keep your eyes on your fingers as you move,” Lu Chan’s voice cut through the air, colder and more severe than any trainer’s.
Mu Jin’s heart jolted. Flustered, she let her arms collapse mid-chest expansion.
Just as she was about to try again, a warm presence suddenly pressed against her from behind, enveloping her in a powerful Alpha scent.
Mu Jin felt Lu Chan’s warm breath on the crown of her head, her small face flushing crimson. Her eyes involuntarily lowered, and her heart pounded wildly in her chest.
“Extend your arms naturally, relax your body—don’t stiffen up,” Lu Chan instructed, guiding her hands with her own. Her cool, low voice carried a hint of warmth.
From behind, it looked as if Lu Chan were holding Mu Jin in her arms.
If only I could gently bite that already reddening earlobe, Lu Chan thought, swallowing hard. Gripping Mu Jin’s arms, she continued, “When bending inward, maintain the same height like this. Don’t slouch your shoulders, and never bend your elbows haphazardly. Understand?”
The last words brushed against Mu Jin’s snow-white neck.
Mu Jin’s heart raced even faster, her shoulders involuntarily tensing.
A hand gently pressed down on her shoulder, its gentle pressure forcing her to relax.
“Don’t be nervous,” Lu Chan reminded her, slowly increasing the distance between them.
As the warmth behind her gradually faded, Mu Jin bit her lip, her bright eyes unable to conceal her delight.
She could feel envious and resentful gazes clinging to her like malevolent curses.
But these stares did nothing to dampen her good mood.
After completing five sets of stretching exercises, Mu Jin’s fair face was already glistening with sweat.
A clean towel, faintly scented with lime, was promptly offered to her.
Mu Jin tilted her head back, her eyes curving into a joyful smile, and gestured her thanks.
Lu Chan was instantly charmed by this adorable gesture, a faint smile softening her usually cold and stern lips—almost imperceptible.
“Miss Mu, to strengthen your core, grip the handrails firmly but not too tightly, to avoid slipping. Simultaneously, press your knees against the padded leg rests. Use the combined strength of your hands, core, and legs to support your body as you move up and down,” Lu Chan explained meticulously.
Her instructions were even more detailed and systematic than the orders she gave her company subordinates.
Mu Jin nodded with a smile, gripped the handrails, knelt onto the machine, and began exercising.
The machine was tilted at approximately seventy degrees, making the exercise somewhat challenging.
After just a few repetitions, Mu Jin felt a burning ache in her core and legs.
Determined not to complain, she endured the pain and continued exercising.
Standing behind Mu Jin, Lu Chan had a clear view of her slender figure.
Each time Mu Jin stretched upward, her hips arched outward.
As she lowered herself, her waistline dipped inward, forming a striking S-curve.
If this weren’t a workout at the gym, Lu Chan would have been convinced that the woman before her was deliberately trying to seduce her.
In truth, she was already captivated.
Lu Chan reached out, her slender fingers pressing against Mu Jin’s narrow waist. Leaning closer, she said, “You need to control your core strength properly. Don’t tense up too much. Try to coordinate with your breathing.”
Mu Jin startled, her waist nearly buckling. Her ears flushed crimson as she nodded.
She resumed her exercise, but Lu Chan’s fingers remained firmly pressed against her waist.
The burning heat from Lu Chan’s touch radiated through her skin, spreading throughout her body.
Mu Jin felt a ticklish sensation and bit down harder on her lip.
“Relax your core more,” Lu Chan said in a deep voice. “Engage your legs and keep your glutes tight.”
Her cool, professional tone and detached gaze perfectly concealed her inner thoughts.
Mu Jin’s face was flushed crimson. Sweat drenched her forehead, cheeks, shoulders, back, and thighs, soaking through her clothes.
The large hand at her waist significantly increased the pressure and difficulty of her training, yet she never stopped it.
After completing one set, Mu Jin was drenched from head to toe, large beads of sweat sliding down her fair, delicate skin.
Her slightly parted red lips, exceptionally vivid, emitted rapid, panting breaths, adding a touch of vibrant color to her pale, innocent face.
She looked both adorable and alluring, like a mermaid newly emerged from the water, making one yearn to possess her.
Lu Chan swallowed discreetly, her gaze unwilling to break away. In a low voice, she said, “That’s enough training for today. Go change first.”
“I…” Mu Jin parted her lips, forming a silent syllable, her face filled with longing to continue.
She looked up, meeting those cold, clear eyes, and couldn’t help but bite her lip. She lowered her head and nodded sullenly.
Mu Jin entered the changing room, her earlier excitement gradually calming.
She dried herself with a clean towel, changed into fresh clothes, and sat inside, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a loud knock echoed from outside.
The forceful sound lacked any pretense of politeness.
“Who is it?” Mu Jin typed.
“You’re Mu Jin, right? Come out and talk to me,” an arrogant voice demanded from beyond the door.
Mu Jin immediately recognized the speaker as the A+ Omega who had flirted with Lu Chan earlier.
Though she had only heard the name once, she remembered it: Duan Qianrou.
The hostile tone suggested Duan Qianrou had come looking for trouble.
Mu Jin lowered her gaze, bit her lip, and rose to open the door.
“So you’re the one who’s been seducing Sister Lu?” Duan Qianrou sized Mu Jin up and down, her beautiful face contorted with disdain, as if scrutinizing a lesser being. “What makes you think you have the nerve? Sister Lu only took you to train today out of pity, and because of Aunt Ye. Don’t you dare imagine that a freak like you—less than even an ordinary person—could ever earn the Lu Family’s favor.”
She deliberately emphasized the word “freak.”
Mu Jin understood: Duan Qianrou now knew she hadn’t undergone differentiation.
“This is between Miss Lu and me. It has nothing to do with you,” Mu Jin typed calmly, her fair face betraying no trace of anger.
Though Duan Qianrou’s words stung, she refused to show any weakness to this Omega who was trying to intimidate her.
Duan Qianrou sneered, crossing her arms with haughty disdain. “How could I possibly be related to a freak like you? Only your abnormal Beta mother could give birth to such a monster who can’t even differentiate.”
“Shut up!” Mu Jin shouted, though no sound escaped her lips.
Her eyes reddened, her small hands clenched into fists, and her chest heaved rapidly.
“What a pathetic mute. Even when you’re angry, you can’t say a word,” Duan Qianrou continued to taunt, her face twisted into a cruel smile. “A freak like you has no chance of stealing Sister Lu from me.”
Mu Jin’s lips trembled violently, her eyes burning with tears.
Suddenly, she reached out and shoved Duan Qianrou with all her might.
The clang of the impact echoed sharply through the silent space, the force of the blow sending a faint tremor through the air.
“Ah…” Duan Qianrou gasped in pain, her smug expression twisting into shock, then fury. “How dare you—!”
She never imagined that someone who looked so frail and easily bullied would dare to push her.
“Don’t you dare talk about my mother!” Mu Jin typed furiously.
The mechanical electronic voice echoed her anger.
“Your mother was just a useless Beta, that’s why she gave birth to a monster like you,” Duan Qianrou sneered, rising to her feet and regaining her initial arrogance. She swung her hand sharply, aiming a slap at Mu Jin’s face.
Mu Jin couldn’t dodge in time. The slap landed heavily on her small face, a searing pain spreading through her nerves.
Without hesitation, she retaliated with a backhanded slap across Duan Qianrou’s arrogant face, then shoved her forcefully to the ground.
This time, she rushed over and kicked Duan Qianrou hard, typing furiously in response, “I’m not a monster!”
“What’s going on here?” A startled voice suddenly called from the doorway.
Mu Jin looked up to see Ye Xian standing nearby, her face etched with disbelief.
She quickly retreated, pressing her lips tightly together as she stood to the side, head bowed and silent.
Duan Qianrou, as if seeing a savior, scrambled to her feet and rushed to Ye Xian, wailing, “Aunt Ye, she hit me! She pushed me! I’m covered in bruises, it hurts so much… How could she be so cruel?”
She spoke in a pitiful voice, as if she were the victim, completely devoid of her earlier arrogance.
Hearing this, the anger in Mu Jin’s heart was instantly replaced by fear.
She wanted to explain, but realized that even telling the truth wouldn’t change the fact that she had struck Duan Qianrou.
Having committed such a crude and disgraceful act today, she would likely be despised by everyone.
“I know Xiao Jin well,” Ye Xian said with a gentle smile, her eyes gleaming with shrewdness. “She’s kind-hearted and would never resort to violence without a reason.”
Mu Jin looked up in astonishment, her eyes filled with both surprise and joy.
“But she slapped me! My cheek still hurts, Aunt Ye. Don’t be fooled by her innocent appearance,” Duan Qianrou continued to sob, deliberately turning her swollen cheek toward Ye Xian.
Ye Xian averted her gaze in disgust. “How dare you show such an unsightly appearance? Has the Duan Family taught you no manners?”
Duan Qianrou’s heart burned with resentment at the reprimand. Spotting a tall figure outside, her eyes lit up, and her expression grew even more pitiful. “Sister Lu…”
Mu Jin stood frozen, her hands and feet turning icy cold.
