How does it feel to step into a B-grade horror game? - 18
Episode 18.
“Blood, Fidelis …….”
At the first voice calling to him, Fidelis tilted his face diagonally to look at Isota, who was standing over Hakan’s shoulder. Clutching the hem of her dress and her cheeks flushed, Isota smiled brightly, tears in the corners of her eyes as she met her eyes. Biting his quivering lips once, Isota cleared his throat.
“Bo, I missed you.”
Eventually, tears ran down Isota’s cheeks. In contrast to her bright smile, the tears that flowed down her face were sad and painful.
* * *
Isota hated his family. No, he hated his father. My mother died giving birth to my younger brother, and my father had no feelings for her. The fact that he threw away his crying Isota and his brother and brought his new lover to play with the next day was enough to show how vulgar he was.
Still, Isota grinned as he looked at his only little brother. Now I was the only one who could protect this little one.
“You’re my brother, so I’ll protect you.”
From the moment he began to speak clearly, Isota had spoken to his brother as if it were a habit.
It was a day when I played with my brother in the garden as usual. She put a wreath made of pink flowers on it and giggled at how beautiful it was.
Suddenly, a large door appeared behind my brother, and a white hand dragged me and my brother through the door. Without opening the tightly closed door, it disappeared as if it had never existed.
Confused by the situation, young Isota blinked and cried in his throat as he searched for his brother, but he couldn’t find him. Where his brother was sitting, there was only a wreath, a ruined wreath.
Isota cried and went straight to her father and told him that her brother had been kidnapped. But the answer that comes back is…
‘me, pretend it wasn’t there in the first place.’
He was a father who didn’t think of his brother or me as his own children. He didn’t think of him as his father, but his veins were gone. No one else’s, but his own blood!
‘It’s my brother!’
‘How can you look for something that’s already gone?’
He relentlessly removed Isota’s young body as she clung to the crotch of her pants and looked down at her coldly.
‘The one with the cursed enemy eye disappeared on its own, so what’s the problem?’
Yes, that was the problem. An extrovert who resembles Sarha, the rare pleasure killer who has ruined the family.
The family family name was changed, but the blood was nowhere to be found. My father’s father, who happened to be in the mansion, became the only surviving human in the family. Just because a powerful aristocrat was ruined doesn’t mean that all his wealth will be reduced to ashes.
My grandfather saved up all his possessions, changed his surname, and began to live. Later, when my grandfather realized why such a tragic tragedy had happened, he hated his gray hair, and he hated the red eye. No, he hated it.
Gray hair was an inevitable family trait. However, the color of her eyes would resemble that of her father or mother. Sarha, too, was born with a red eye on her mother’s side. But my brother was different. Neither my mother, nor my father, nor my grandfather, nor my grandmother, nor anyone else had any red eyes.
The only people who loved her younger brother, who was rejected from birth, were Isota and her dead mother.
Young Isota realized it too early. A cruel paternal love and the fact that I’m the only one who can find my brother.
There was nothing young Isota could do. The problem was the author, who didn’t even want to call him father, even if he was brought in. He was the one who could throw his brother out at any time. It was now a dangerous place for his brother.
I had to build up my strength. He had to rise to a position where no one could ignore him. I needed a house and power so that my brother, who had been brought to me safely, could live with a sunny smile that knew nothing.
In order to do that, I had to destroy my father. As he gained knowledge, he pretended to look good to his father and began to learn about the family ownership. Eventually, he began to take control of the family to the point where he could strike him from behind at any time. Her genius and desperate circumstances allowed her to rise to greater heights.
At the same time, Isota discovered that he had a talent for magic, so he used it to pretend to study magic and began investigating the door he had seen as a child, where he had taken his beloved brother. One day, he found a door in a book that resembled the one Isota had seen as a child.
‘Dimensional Gate?’
After learning the identity of the door, Isota began researching any information about the portal as soon as he could. Naturally, he did not stop preparing to hit his father’s back.
When she finally found out that her brother had been sent to another world by someone, she cried all day. I felt sorry for my brother who would be alone in a place where no one knew, it meant that he was still alive, and I felt sad and sad about why someone had separated us.
The next day, Isota’s eyes were again buried among the books. Those who could open the dimensional portal were rare. Hakan was able to open it, but he couldn’t do it. Even if he were there, he wouldn’t be able to call his brother either, if he didn’t know him.
I needed to bring my brother, but I couldn’t bring him because I didn’t know where he was. He couldn’t even open the dimensional portal. There were many branches extending out from the plane’s gate, and if he took the wrong path, he could not only bring his brother with him, but even himself could wander among them and die.
He didn’t mind dying to find his brother, but not yet. I had to find my brother who might still be alive and protect him. I promised you.
One day, a colleague who knew her situation spoke to her carefully.
“I have a way to bring my brother back.”
‘What?’
‘It’s there, the mansion of the dead.’
It was a famous place in the area. Of course Isota knew. The family of our ancestors and the place where Sarha lived.
“There’s a lot of magic in there. Once you’re in, you won’t be able to get out, but you’ll be able to use that magic to bring your brother back.’
‘Really?’
‘But you know what? Once you’re in, you can’t get out.’
It didn’t matter. I had to leave my brother by my side and get out later. He had to protect himself and break the curse and come out. Hope was within reach.
It was clear that the situation was helping Isota. And just in time, the emperor began to look for someone to lift the curse. The dark energy of the mansion was spreading. The situation itself seemed to push Isota to hurry into the mansion and call his brother.
Isota applied without delay. There was no reason not to go in if they were fully prepared to enter. I told my father that he was going in and out. Naturally, he did not refuse. There was no way he didn’t know that the rewards were not small.
He would have thought he didn’t care if he died. I didn’t get hurt again. I didn’t want to keep him alive either.
The people of Isota were worried and absolutely opposed, but they knew that all of this had been prepared for her sister, so they insisted that they would protect it all the time, and in the end, she would let her do as she wished.
On the day they entered the mansion together, Isota was torn between a dress and a comfortable outfit, and then she picked up the dress and put it on. It was my brother who I hadn’t seen in a long time. I wanted to show them bright and colorful and get rid of their anxiety. I wanted to look pretty.
In that state, I headed to the mansion. I could feel the people already gathered whispering one by one, but I couldn’t see them openly. He knew Isota’s personality was dirty, and he wasn’t one to be ignored. But Dino was different.
“If you’re going to come dressed like that, you’re going to a party, so why come here and muddy the waters?”
Isota’s gold eye slid straight into Dino. The corners of Isota’s mouth tilted up and down as he glanced up and down.
‘Hey.’
‘Hey?’
Dino let out a gasp of dumbfoundedness, and Isota walked confidently in front of him. Her cheerful mood made Dino look around him and raise his head.
‘You’re a little pretentious. Even if I wear a bulky jacket, I’ll wear it better than you. What confidence do you have to wear so comfortably? The ghost will see your face and your clothes, hold your nose and run away, right?”
Isota’s words made the volunteers around him laugh one by one. Dino, his face burning red with rage, yelled at her.
‘Is this X crazy!’
‘Oh, the smell.’
Isota plugged his nose and muttered in displeasure.
‘Did you eat rotten garbage? It’s annoying.’
After crushing Dino with a calm look in his eyes, Isota leisurely handed him the medicine and entered the mansion without hesitation. Her purpose was not to break the curse of the mansion, but to bring her brother back. As soon as he entered the mansion, Isota was able to summon his brother, whom he had lived so longing for, and keep him by his side. With a heart full of anticipation, I opened the door of the mansion and stepped in. The space shimmered, and Isota stood tall in a room that wasn’t in the garden.
Isota hurriedly pulled out the rattle his brother had played with as a baby and placed it in the middle. Isota, who drew a large magic circle around a rattle, took some time, but cast a spell to summon his brother.
As soon as he finished his spell, the door that had disappeared with his brother reappeared and slid open. At the same time, he staggered out of focus, stepped on the floor, and staggered to the ground. Isota caught her as she was about to collapse in a hurry. The door vanished, her body crackling, and she disappeared from Isota’s arms.
“Uh, where… Why?”
He was taken aback for a moment, but Isota understood. You couldn’t use teleportation magic here. You never know where it will fall.
Therefore, it was likely that his younger brother, who had been transported to the dimensional portal, had also been transported somewhere as soon as he came out. It was a little brother I had held in my arms for a while. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her, and she was still my slender and cute little sister.
Isota wasted no time in getting to his feet.
It was his turn to find his only brother, Fidelis, and protect him, this time by his absolute side.
* * *
“That’s you, Fidelis….”
His shoulders trembled. There were tears in her long eyelashes. He immediately wanted to find Fidelis, but he couldn’t feel the magic of Fidelis that had quickly vanished from his arms. Naturally, he couldn’t find it with mana sensing. Because of that, it took a while to find Fidelis.
Fidelis stared at Isota, opening and closing his mouth repeatedly. I didn’t know what to say. Hakan, who was listening to Isota’s story, obediently took a step back and did not interfere.
