How does it feel to step into a B-grade horror game? - 31
Episode 31.
As Hakan’s scythe landed right on Pecua’s head, she flashed Fidelis up. Surprised, Hakan changed his trajectory in an instant. A scythe grazed right in front of Fidelis. He tried to slip through the cracks, but Pecua was quicker to catch Fidelis again.
“A little more would have blown Fidelis’ dear throat.”
It really would. Hakan’s breath was choked by the creepiness of the chills. The darkness was eating away at Pecua and Fidelis. Fidelis forced the corners of her mouth to speak to dispel their worries before she faded away.
“Don’t worry. It’s just a little bit of a drop.”
“Oh no… Don’t leave my side….”
Hakan grabbed her sadly. Fidelis couldn’t respond, his lips pursed. She knew he wouldn’t be able to get me back from Pecua’s clutches right now.
Pecua was strong, and even stronger in this mansion. Fidelis’ sad smile sent Hakan rushing back at Pecua with a brutal life within the wall, but Fidelis and Pecua were consumed by the darkness and vanished.
“Reese!”
Isota’s tearful screams rang out, and Hakan glared fiercely at the vanished space. Hakan’s suffocating flesh began to spill around him, his hair flowing back roughly. Edu and Essie couldn’t stand it, clinging to the wall at the far end and shivering.
“Mr. X.”
Hakan let out a small curse and ran out with his scythe. He ran to retrieve Fidelis from afar.
“Come on, wait a minute, me, too!”
The smoke that wrapped around Isota’s wounds hadn’t gone away yet. Shion hugged Isota, who was trying to force himself to stand up. Shion smiled, wiping the blood from his forehead.
“Let’s go, too.”
“You’re bloody.”
“I don’t die like this.”
Biting his lip tightly, Isota wiped away Shion’s blood from the steady stream of his life. Shion, who was smiling happily, followed Hakan and ran with Isota in his arms.
In order not to miss Hakan, who was already in the distance, Shion tightened his legs. Edu and Esie, who were shivering behind them, followed them with their heads swaying.
Hakan, who was running ahead, gritted his teeth. He could taste the fishy blood, but he didn’t care. I felt so pathetic that I felt like I was going to die.
I’ve never thought about losing to someone without being able to use my strength properly. Even if he was a demon on par with a god, Hakan knew that his power surpassed it.
He was blocked by the mansion and couldn’t muster full strength, but he didn’t know he would be so helpless. I didn’t think I’d lose her in front of her again. This time, even though I had so much time to attack.
It was weak. I was weak. Fidelis’ sad smile lingered in Hakan’s mind. Hakan’s confident arrogant expression twisted painfully.
“…….”
Clenched into a fist, the nails digging painfully into the palm of his hand. But that was short-lived, as Hakan began to think about the battle in his mind.
When he unleashed a brilliant attack, there was definitely a gap. Using this, Pecua could be decapitated.
Not three times. There shouldn’t have been. Whoever tried to take Fidelis from him…….
Hakan’s cruel thoughts looked sad somehow, and Isota shouted.
“My brother Reese is the one who protected us from the ghosts. My brother is strong!”
Hakan didn’t look back. Suddenly, I wanted to hear something. Hakan knew Fidelis was strong. Even though that wasn’t what Hakan was worried about, Isota, who mistook it for something, was so upset that he shouted one after another.
“Are you going to give up so easily? Are you going to give up Lease?”
Hakan stopped. He glared at Isota with a bloody expression.
“Why me?”
“If you don’t like that, don’t be depressed.”
He narrowed his brow and began to spun around again. I was never depressed. Hakan simply ignored Isota, who was mistaken for nothing.
“Hey!”
“… Let’s leave it alone.”
“I’ll be quiet.”
Hakan’s irritated murmur made Isota fall silent.
* * *
“It’s weird.”
“What is it, Isota?”
She had remained silent ever since Hakan had issued a small warning, her brow furrowing as she fumbled around the wound that was slowly healing.
Isota couldn’t understand the demon’s sudden appearance. For some reason, the demon seemed anxious to keep Fidelis and them apart.
“That demon, you’re after Reese.”
Even as the pain from the wound on his shoulder continued, he knew what Pecua’s purpose was. Her eyes were on Fidelis all along.
Why is it my brother? What did that good boy do?
There was no way to express my anger.
“And the necklace that Reese had. That’s no ordinary magic tool. There’s no way I have the tools to heal my wounds so quickly.”
I could see it healing. The long wound was already more than half healed. And without a scar.
I’ve never heard of such healing powers. No matter how great the healing power of a magic tool, even a famous healer could heal a wound in such a short time.
So did Fidelis’ strength. He was using a power that was far from ordinary. His screaming alone overwhelmed the demon, and he even choked the great Hakan’s throat, causing him to let out a small moan.
It wasn’t just one or two odd things. Fidelis also used his power and showed himself to be taken aback. If so, it could have been something she hadn’t had originally, or it could have been something that came out of nowhere.
The strangeness of one bite followed with a tail in its mouth. Isota was seriously thinking about it.
“So Reese doesn’t look like your brother?”
Hakan, who had been listening silently, did not stop his running legs and asked softly. Whatever Fidelis had come to him now, Hakan’s heart hadn’t changed.
Even if he couldn’t defeat the demon, he had no intention of letting her go. As I grew older, my feelings for her became like an uncontrollable storm, and there was no way to stop. No, I didn’t even want to stop.
Isota’s face crumpled at his question, and he shouted in a fiery rage.
“What are you talking about! That’s not what I meant!”
He had never doubted that Fidelis was not his brother. Fidelis was sure to be my beloved brother. This fact will never change. No matter what Fidelis’ true identity is now, it won’t change his mind about his brother.
Avoiding Fidelis for just one or two oddities didn’t work for me. Isota wasn’t going to take Fidelis away from him, even if it meant all that.
He’s my only beloved blood relative, my little brother. I’ve done everything I can to bring her back to me. Isota’s suspicions were something else entirely.
“I suspect that devil. … When I was a child, I took my brother, away from me… I thought it might be that demon… I suspect this is all part of the devil’s plan…”
Isota’s lip was tightened. Apparently, he was saying that the devil was the culprit, but there was no physical evidence. Even if you wake up from the dead, you will never forget the pale white hand and the same demon’s hand. The hand that took away my brother, who was like my heart.
Clearly, the hand was right, but something was stuck. Why, why, for what reason did the devil kidnap Fidelis? And what is the power and the origin of the necklace? Isota bit his nails.
Could it be that this is all part of the devil’s plan, and that it was part of her plan to bring me here and bring Reese here?”
Tick.
Isota’s face turned contemplative as he stopped biting his nails. So that he had summoned Fidelis to this cursed place? To be a target of the devil? Moving the timid Fidelis into this place with my own hands…?
“If that was the case, wouldn’t you have brought Reese in? Did you intend to leave it there for the rest of your life?”
“… What?”
Isota’s answer was a beat late because of his anxious pounding heart.
“You weren’t going to see Reese for the rest of your life. Then I’m in a lot of trouble.”
Hakan crumpled his face as if he didn’t like it. I didn’t want to imagine it before I met Fidelis.
“Am I crazy? I can’t imagine never seeing Reese for the rest of my life. I’d rather tear the demon to shreds and kill him!”
Hakan shrugged at Isota, who was yelling excitedly. I’d rather it was Isota-like. Isota, huffing, glared at Hakan’s back and flinched. His pupils fluttered against his large back.
“Am I comforted by him?”
“… No, I don’t want to believe it. I think we just got into an argument, Isota.”
“yes, that would be nice.”
Isota vehemently agreed with Shion’s disgusting words. Hakan didn’t seem to want to interrupt their conversation.
To shake off Hakan’s kindness, Isota sternly scolded himself for trying to burrow into the ground, and then thought again. Why did the devil kidnap Fidelis and use me here to lure her here?
He couldn’t separate himself from Fidelis again, for no apparent reason. He didn’t want to throw his brother into the harsh world again.
Even if she was haunted by demons here, if she could break the curse, she would be able to live a prosperous life for the rest of her life. He could promise that. I could so firmly promise that I would give you a lot of love. So that you will never feel alone again.
Looking at the child who was so frightened, he must not have had a smooth life, and the face of the child who was happy to have a family is still so good.
I, his sister, should not regret that I had brought her to the cursed mansion. From the day Fidelis was born until now, and never afterwards, she has been the only driving force in Isota’s life.
‘You’re crazy, you dare to think of it.’
For a moment, Isota glared at Hakan, blaming his weakened heart.
‘That’s not enough, I’ve heard you say it to Hakan!’
Shion gently patted Isota’s back, tearing his head out in agony and grunting. As he struggled, Hakan’s low voice whispered in his ears.
“That demon, you said it would make it funnier, maybe.”
“…!”
Hakan muttered to himself, and Isota’s eyes widened as if he had remembered something.
