I Am Not a Scummy Alpha (GL) - Chapter 2
“Hey! You apologise to me!”
Liang Suisui stood with her hands on her hips, shouting the phrase. She couldn’t help but glance at the Alpha in front of her again, her ear tips secretly turning red.
This Alpha was really beautiful, so commanding and elegant.
A few days ago, Liang Suisui had a dream. In the dream, she would enter the aristocratic academy as a commoner special talent student, and then become entangled with a top Alpha heir from an influential family. The heir would be attracted to her stubbornness and uniqueness.
That Alpha heir was called Gu Qiu.
After waking up from the dream, Liang Suisui actually received an admission invitation from Svir Academy. Then, driven by a strange feeling, she searched for Gu Qiu’s publicly available personal information on the Star Network.
Many search results quickly appeared.
Gu Qiu, a top Alpha with SSS-level pheromones, a well-known figure at Svir Aristocratic Academy, with a gorgeous appearance and a pair of dazzling fox eyes. The family she represented was a top-tier powerhouse in the upper circles.
Her mother was the head of the largest optical computer company, occupying almost ninety-five percent of the optical computer market. Her other mother was the Imperial Capital’s youngest governor’s daughter, who had produced many classic works over the years due to her keen interest in acting.
Any single one of these achievements would be outstanding, let alone having all these titles concentrated on one person, which made her an object of reverence.
And… it was said that Gu Qiu’s own pheromones were that of the fervent Carolla Rose, very fragrant.
Thinking about the possibility of having a romantic relationship with this Alpha, just like in her dream, Liang Suisui’s heart warmed up.
But Gu Qiu’s behaviour seemed overly cold compared to the dream. Seeing that Gu Qiu not only ignored her but even showed a tendency to walk away, Liang Suisui panicked and shouted even louder:
“Hey, you impolite Alpha, you’re not allowed to leave! You must apologise to me!”
The campus had many people passing by after class. This sentence was quite loud, and coupled with Gu Qiu being naturally attention-grabbing, many people looked over at once.
Gu Qiu’s steps successfully stopped.
Apologise?
Gu Qiu looked at the inexplicable person: “What do I need to apologise for? If I recall correctly, you were the one who bumped into me.”
Gu Qiu thought she was just stating a fact, but unexpectedly, upon hearing this, the strange Omega’s apricot eyes widened. Her hands were placed on her hips, making her look even angrier.
“You must apologise! Don’t think that being rich is a big deal! That you can just bully people casually!”
“Also, stop calling me ‘you,’ I have a name! I’m Liang Suisui!” Liang Suisui’s voice was filled with indignation, as if she had encountered some great injustice.
Gu Qiu: “?”
Why was this person’s speech so nonsensical?
“So what? Are you trying to stage an accident for money?” Gu Qiu said seriously, “Also, has anyone ever told you that you are very strange?”
“Pfft~”
Someone in the onlookers couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Liang Suisui also choked, not expecting such a reply.
“You… you…”
Gu Qiu continued: “There are surveillance cameras here. If you can’t figure out the situation, go check the footage instead of bothering me here and wasting both our time.”
Svir Academy has advanced equipment. For the safety of the aristocratic students inside, even the perimeter of the academic buildings is monitored.
She had no patience to waste time here, adding: “I don’t care at all what your name is. Don’t block my way.”
After saying this, she left without hesitation, not sparing even a fraction of a side glance.
The sound of her high heels on the ground was particularly noticeable. Gu Qiu was already tall, and as her hair swayed while she walked, combined with her half-lowered gaze, she gave off an invisible sense of oppression.
As the other person brushed past her, Liang Suisui didn’t even dare to breathe or speak.
Seeing Gu Qiu walk away, the surrounding people who were planning to watch the show also lost interest and retracted their gazes.
“Who was that person? Her method of striking up a conversation is too clumsy and forced.”
“Never seen her before.”
“We’re used to it, but her way of trying to get attention is quite… novel?”
The second-generation rich students, dressed in Svir Academy’s custom-tailored uniforms, laughed and soon forgot about this incident, which didn’t even qualify as an interlude.
Liang Suisui was still standing in the same spot, her mind somewhat blank.
Why was the situation different from what she had imagined?
Logically, Gu Qiu should have stopped, her eyes full of interest, and said to her, “Liang Suisui, is it? Very well, I’ll remember you,” right?
Liang Suisui’s thoughts were a little confused. She looked down in confusion, about to leave.
The next second, a small object on the ground caught her eye.
It was an exquisite, luxurious rose earring, lying quietly on the ground. The red crystal reflected the light with a clear brilliance, and it clearly looked valuable.
Liang Suisui recognised it—it was one of the earrings Gu Qiu had been wearing on her ear. It must have fallen off when she bumped into Gu Qiu just now.
Her eyes flickered. She bent down and carefully picked up the earring, holding it in her palm.
Outside Svir Academy, various luxury cars were parked. Gu Qiu’s chauffeur was already waiting there. The black minivan had a discreet exterior but a very spacious and comfortable interior.
After Gu Qiu got into the car, she said, “Take me to Lin Jinzhu’s place.”
The chauffeur, accustomed to the routine, respectfully replied, “Yes, Miss.”
The road was clear. Within a twenty-minute drive, the discreet minivan smoothly stopped at Lin Jinzhu’s private apartment.
The location was in the most prosperous area of the Imperial Capital, one of Lin Jinzhu’s private residences. Each floor housed a single apartment. Gu Qiu went up to Lin Jinzhu’s floor and pressed the doorbell.
After a short while, the door in front of her slowly opened, and a serene and elegant face gradually appeared.
It was Lin Jinzhu.
She looked like she had just finished showering, wearing only a grey bath-robe, which revealed a large expanse of her creamy, flawless collarbone. White steam lingered around her body. Her dark hair was casually draped over her collarbone, incidentally covering the delicate scent gland on the back of her neck. The extreme contrast of black and white was highly captivating.
Gu Qiu glanced at her and said, “Lin Jinzhu, are you taking a shower in the middle of the day?”
“…”
“I slept for a while and sweated a little. Come in.”
Gu Qiu obediently followed Lin Jinzhu inside. She came to Lin Jinzhu’s place often and sometimes ran into her just after she had finished bathing, so she was used to it.
But now, perhaps being blurred by the faint moisture in the air, or perhaps because of what Xu Wenyue had said this afternoon, Gu Qiu suddenly had a strange feeling.
Nineteen-year-old Lin Jinzhu was in the prime of her life and had unknowingly blossomed into a beauty that could make many Alphas fall for her.
They weren’t children anymore.
Gu Qiu secretly gritted her teeth, feeling inexplicably unhappy. Why did time pass so quickly?
The apartment door had automatically closed as soon as they entered.
Lin Jinzhu’s home was very quiet. She disliked crowds, and consequently, the home’s decor was mainly cool-toned, with few plants or furniture.
Worried that Lin Jinzhu would be bored, Gu Qiu started chattering about the interesting things that happened today as soon as she entered.
Lin Jinzhu did not interrupt, but her lowered eyes and occasional responses told Gu Qiu that she was listening.
“Today’s anatomy class was so boring; it was all basic knowledge. I was almost falling asleep listening to it.”
“Xu Wenyue didn’t want me to come see you, and I even argued with her about it.”
“After school, I ran into a very strange Omega. She lunged into my arms and said some incomprehensible things.”
“Omega?” Lin Jinzhu suddenly spoke, looking over, “Lunged into your arms?”
Gu Qiu’s smile was triumphant: “Yeah, but my reaction was fast; I dodged out of the way in time.”
Lin Jinzhu looked at her intently but did not continue the conversation.
Gu Qiu, however, noticed something else: “Lin Jinzhu, the ends of your hair are still dripping water. Wipe it dry quickly, don’t catch a cold.”
Lin Jinzhu “mm-ed,” took a white towel as instructed, and casually wiped the water droplets from her hair ends. Once the dripping stopped, she sat down on the sofa.
Gu Qiu naturally squatted beside her, as she always did, like a clingy, long-haired puppy.
Lin Jinzhu glanced at the top of the Alpha’s head, then casually placed the towel aside. With that movement, she naturally parted her legs.
The movement was slight, but the white bath-robe split open below, and as she moved, the fabric gently draped to the sides, exposing a section of her upper thigh skin—the line of her leg was soft and slender, her skin like white jade cream.
Her thigh was only a hand-span away from Gu Qiu’s face. This was a very intimate distance, so close that Gu Qiu could faintly feel the moisture from the skin on her face.
Her vision was occupied by this patch of snowy white. Gu Qiu’s brain momentarily crashed. She subconsciously looked up at Lin Jinzhu’s eyes.
What was Lin Jinzhu doing? Why was she spreading her legs for no reason?
Lin Jinzhu’s gaze was calm as she looked back: “What’s wrong?”
“N-nothing,” Gu Qiu turned her head awkwardly, feeling the atmosphere was somehow strange.
But precisely because of this movement, her right earlobe was fully presented before Lin Jinzhu.
Lin Jinzhu’s gaze fell on it, settling there. She suddenly asked, “Gu Qiu, where did your rose earring go?”
Earring?
Gu Qiu touched her earlobe in confusion—it was empty.
She checked twice: “How did it disappear? It was still here this morning.”
That rose earring was a gift from Lin Jinzhu. Gu Qiu loved it and wore it most often. Now that it was gone, she felt somewhat annoyed and anxious.
“It must have fallen somewhere. I’ll have someone look for it.”
She took out her phone, about to make a call, when a chill suddenly came from her earlobe.
It was Lin Jinzhu’s hand reaching out to touch her. Her fingertip brushed over Gu Qiu’s ear piercing. The movement was light, but her lowered eyes were deep, carrying an emotion that Gu Qiu couldn’t decipher.
For some reason, this version of Lin Jinzhu made Gu Qiu’s heart tremble, and a subtle tingling sensation arose.
She unconsciously spoke: “Lin Jinzhu…”
“Hmm?” Lin Jinzhu looked up, meeting Gu Qiu’s gaze.
Neither of them spoke, just quietly looking at each other.
Slowly, Lin Jinzhu leaned her upper body forward. This was a very subtle distance, somewhere between friendship and flirtation.
She had a pair of extremely beautiful willow-leaf eyes. Usually, they gave the impression of a tranquil lake where nothing could stir a ripple, but now they were fixed intensely on Gu Qiu’s eyes, not allowing her to escape.
Lin Jinzhu’s voice softened, like some kind of poisonous yet beautiful snake, seductively asking, “Gu Qiu, what do you want to say?”
Want to say what?
With that question, Gu Qiu finally remembered the unfinished sentence from earlier: “Lin Jinzhu, why are your fingers so cold? Did you catch a chill!”
“…”
Lin Jinzhu stared at her for a few seconds. The lake in her eyes regained its composure, showing an emotion that might have been disappointment or something else.
Her finger pressed firmly on Gu Qiu’s earlobe, like some kind of reluctance, and very much like some kind of punishment.
She cursed coldly: “Silly dog.”
