The next morning, I was already on my way to Lady Luciana’s estate, accompanied by her. As we passed through the vast lands, a calm and beautiful town came into view. 

For a territory managed by a princess, it wasn’t overly extravagant. But the buildings had a sense of grandeur, exuding a historical charm.

So this is Lady Luciana’s domain. I’ve seen this place a few times in the game.  

…But somehow, the scenery feels different from the game. It’s probably set in a slightly different time period.

Once the carriage came to a stop, I stepped out and took in the full view of the mansion. The garden was well-maintained, and I could see the servants busily working. The atmosphere here felt more practical than flashy. That was the kind of place it was.

I followed Lady Luciana closely as we approached the mansion. And just as we were about to enter, the door opened. A few maids were waiting in the entrance. They bowed deeply to Lady Luciana. 

…Leading the group was an elven maid who had also appeared in the main game. She stepped forward and bowed to Lady Luciana.

That maid… those legs, is that Elena? She’s slender, but her legs are well-toned and attractive.

“Lady Luciana, it’s been a while. I trust your journey went smoothly?”

“Yes, there were no problems. This man here, as I mentioned in the letter, is the new servant I plan to hire.”

…No problems? I had no idea what she meant, but I kept my promise to Lady Luciana and said nothing, bowing respectfully instead.

“…My name is Rondo. I look forward to working with you.”

“My name is Elena. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” 

Elena said with a smile. After which Lady Luciana immediately started walking again.

“Rondo, for now, have Elena show you around the mansion and explain your duties. I’ll be heading to my office.”

“…Understood.”

With that simple command, Lady Luciana walked off with firm determination. As I watched her go, Elena stepped in front of me.

“Well then, Rondo-san, let me guide you through the mansion.”

“I understand.”

Prompted by Elena, I began walking through the mansion. The wide hallways were furnished with luxurious decor. But there wasn’t much excess. In other noble houses in the game, random statues and unnecessary things were lined up everywhere.

…Well, Lady Luciana isn’t the type to waste money. I suppose visiting that brothel yesterday was really just for business reasons or some kind of obligation.

As I walked with Elena, we exchanged brief introductions.

“This is the dining hall, and over there is Lady Luciana’s office. I’ve been informed that you’ll be serving as Lady Luciana’s personal attendant, so your main duties will involve accompanying her and handling any tasks she assigns.”

“…Understood. Specifically, what sort of tasks will I be expected to perform?”

Since I had never done this kind of work in the game’s main storyline, I had no clue what would be required of me. At my question, Elena placed her hand on her chin, pondering for a moment.

“I’ve done similar work a few times. Essentially, you’ll be serving drinks and meals, acting as a conversation partner when needed, organizing documents, and assisting Lady Luciana with any instructions she gives. In short, you’ll be something like an all-around helper. Why don’t we take a look now?”

With that, Elena guided me to Lady Luciana’s office. When she opened the door, there was Lady Luciana already engrossed in her work.

A single maid was in the room with her. She had a soft and nurturing aura, and her plump thighs had surely captivated many male players. That’s Karin, the succubus character. She’s not one of the main characters, so I don’t know much about her personality. But she’s got nice legs.

…She’s probably serving as Lady Luciana’s personal attendant today.

Piles of documents were stacked all around the office. Lady Luciana was scanning through them, signing papers, and occasionally calling for people to give out instructions.

The servants were handling tasks like organizing documents and fetching people.  

…Well, I suppose it really is about assisting Lady Luciana with her work.  

Her expression was calm and dignified.  

Compared to the Lady Luciana from last night, who was babbling like a baby… she seemed like a completely different person.  

Managing a territory clearly wasn’t easy.  

Discussions about crop yields, tax revenues, and the living conditions of the residents filled the air.  

Her subordinates were busily running around, awaiting her precise instructions.  

Lady Luciana’s voice was strict as she gave orders. And not one of her subordinates dared to complain.  

They executed her commands flawlessly.  

“…This is generally what the work will look like.”  

“…I see, I understand.”

“In addition, since you’ll be staying in Lady Luciana’s room, in the event of an emergency, it’s your duty to protect her with your life. So, leveling up and training are also part of your duties.  

Currently, there are three of us serving Lady Luciana, but since one person is retiring… going forward, it will be you, me, and Karin handling everything.  

Please be mindful not to neglect your training, even on days when there’s no work.”  

Hearing the words “training” and “leveling up”… I felt a surge of excitement.  

I might not have the freedom to move around much. But that means I’ll also get to enjoy some adventures in this world, like a player in a game.  

That thought alone was enough to get my spirits up, whether I wanted it or not.  

There have been a lot of things happening since I reincarnated into this world. But from here on, my otherworldly life is about to truly begin.  

“Do you have any questions?”  

“…For now, I’m fine.”  

“Understood. Then, I’ll show you to your room, Rondo-san.”  

With a smile, Elena led me toward my own room.
