I Became the Butler of the Seventh Princess, Who’s Regressing Into a Child - Episode 37
Episode 37
Early in the morning, I headed to the guild. I walked through the bustling crowd of adventurers as usual.
Today, I planned to select a new dungeon to explore. In a game, I’d just check a strategy site or a forum. But here, no such resources exist.
Sometimes, there were limited-time dungeons or collaboration dungeons with other games. But I wondered if anything like that might appear here.
Just as I thought about investigating this at the guild—
“Rondo-san!”
I heard a familiar voice call my name.
Turning around, I saw Anfi waving at me with a bright smile. Next to her were her usual companions, her fellow knight apprentices. Four young women in total, each strikingly attractive. They drew curious glances from the surrounding adventurers.
“Anfi. It’s rare to see you at the guild today. What brings you here?”
“Well, I’m here gathering information for a dungeon expedition!”
“Oh, going after a new dungeon?”
“Yes! We just defeated the dungeon boss in the [Black Swamp Cave] as a team.”
Anfi beamed proudly, and her companions looked equally pleased.
…Impressive. They seem to be progressing quickly. Perhaps it’s because Anfi is a character from the main game storyline. It likely benefits her team’s growth, too.
“I’m in a similar situation. I defeated a dungeon boss recently, so I’m here to choose my next dungeon.”
“What?! Did you do it alone?”
“Well… yeah, technically.”
“That’s amazing! We barely managed it with a whole party. We really need to keep working hard!”
“Honestly, doing it as a group is probably safer. There’s no need to risk doing it alone.”
Sure, solo play might be more efficient for gaining experience, but it’s also riskier. Managing attacks, healing, and reconnaissance alone is a challenge.
Traveling solo here is tougher than in a game since you can never let your guard down.
“This city still has quite a few dungeons, huh?”
“Yes, well, towns are usually built where there are a lot of dungeons.”
“Really?”
“Yes! It’s easier for adventurers to gather, and the town can grow faster.”
“…I see.”
Games rarely explained such intricate details, so this felt refreshingly new.
“A dungeon attracts adventurers and merchants set up shops to serve them. And with so many people, civilians start settling in too. That’s how towns grow!”
“Now that you mention it, that makes sense.”
Anfi clearly enjoys sharing her knowledge. She was beaming with pride.
It’s true; this town has a large adventurer population, with plenty of merchants and artisans. The city lord, Lady Luciana, doesn’t have any bad reputation either. So it’s naturally a place where people want to gather.
“Rondo-san, have you chosen your next dungeon? We’re considering the [Rocky Ruins].”
“The [Rocky Ruins], huh? If I remember correctly, the recommended level is around 20?”
I knew this dungeon from the game. It was known for golem-type monsters and was a recommended hunting ground for magic-based classes.
“Yes. For our skill level, it seems like a good next step. We’re fairly skilled in magic.”
“I see… Well, I rely mostly on my sword.”
“In that case, you might be better off moving to another town.”
But I couldn’t just leave town.
……I might give the [Rocky Ruins] a shot as well.
With my [Enchanter] abilities, golem-type monsters shouldn’t pose too much trouble.
“I’ll start with the [Rocky Ruins] and see how it goes. Any other recommendations?”
“For this city… nothing else comes to mind. There might be some good ones in the northern town, though.”
“I see. Thanks for all the info. Good luck to you all.”
“Oh, thank you! You be careful too, Rondo-san. Especially since you’re solo!”
“You too, Anfi.”
She has worse luck than I do, after all.
Having gathered the information I needed, I left the guild and headed in the direction of the [Rocky Ruins].
