I Don't Want to Have Little Mushrooms with You - Chapter 20
Song Tai was speechless, unable to fathom where Miss Qu’s confidence stemmed from.
“Whether I like it or not, I won’t know until I’ve tried it myself. What basis do you have for your assumptions?” she emphasized, biting down on the word “I.”
“Besides, it’s already quite late. Don’t you think it’s inappropriate for you to still be here?”
“Or does Miss Qu have some unsavory habits? Should I call the police to help you resolve them?”
Song Tai met her gaze directly, her eyes devoid of any amusement. She might as well have told her to get lost.
She’s bristling.
Qu Lingyue’s smile deepened instantly.
Qu Fengyue immediately sensed the unusual tension between the two women. Her gaze darted between them as she stepped between them, her tone cautious. “I think I saw the maintenance worker downstairs just now. He should be here any minute.”
Qu Lingyue maintained her smile. “Thank you.”
Before leaving, she turned back to Song Tai. “I apologize for my earlier behavior, Miss Song. Please don’t be angry.”
“But I’m serious. I hope you’ll consider my offer.”
Song Tai: “……”
Consider what? Consider becoming one of her five girlfriends who get replaced every month?
This woman is truly deranged.
Song Tai barely managed to suppress her anger.
The door closed, and the atmosphere quieted.
Song Tai sat on the sofa, her gaze fixed on Qu Fengyue.
Sensing Song Tai’s mood, Qu Fengyue stood before her like a child caught doing wrong, a little lost. “Sister.”
Song Tai’s expression darkened. “What did she say to you?”
“Nothing much,” Qu Fengyue replied.
“If it was nothing, why are you so obedient to her? She tells you to buy something, and you just go?” Song Tai nearly lost control of her voice.
Qu Fengyue paused for a few seconds, then took Song Tai’s hand. “Then what did you two talk about earlier? You were so close. Can you tell me?”
“We didn’t talk about anything…” Song Tai realized her reaction was excessive. She shook off Qu Fengyue’s hand and turned to enter the bedroom.
Qu Fengyue followed her into the bedroom, step by step, silent and watching her quietly.
After a moment’s hesitation, Qu Fengyue sat down beside her and said, “I listened to Miss Qu because she’s very experienced with relationships.”
“I’m not experienced. I’m not doing this well.”
Her eyes lowered with a hint of sadness, and she murmured, “Sister, I want you to like me.”
“Even just a little bit would be enough.”
Song Tai’s heart skipped a beat.
She hadn’t realized Qu Fengyue could see through her feelings. She thought she had been hiding them well.
Qu Fengyue hadn’t done anything wrong. Song Tai’s anger stemmed from Qu Lingyue’s words striking a nerve, more a reaction of guilty embarrassment than genuine anger.
Like a punctured balloon, Qu Fengyue deflated instantly.
She froze for a few seconds, then turned around and ruffled Song Tai’s hair, trying to cover up her hurt. “What nonsense are you talking about? Of course I like you.” Though not much.
“Do you think I’d like someone just because they’re experienced? How could you even think that? I’ve never said anything like that.”
Still, Qu Fengyue wasn’t entirely wrong. Qu Lingyue was quite experienced, considering she changed girlfriends five times a month.
Qu Fengyue looked up, her eyes suddenly brightening. “Really? You like me?”
Song Tai met her gaze, feeling a little guilty. “Of course.”
Qu Fengyue stubbornly insisted, “Then I want you to like me a little more.”
Song Tai sighed helplessly. “Okay.”
Qu Fengyue glanced at the small boxes. “Don’t be mad, Sister. I’ll throw them away later.”
Song Tai: “Forget it. Let’s just try them.”
“As long as Sister isn’t angry.” Qu Fengyue nuzzled against Song Tai’s chest, her voice almost pleading.
The atmosphere suddenly softened. A few seconds later, Song Tai pinched Qu Fengyue’s cheek, forcing her to release her grip.
“No more biting. Are you a puppy?”
Her n1pple was already swollen and chafing uncomfortably. Song Tai had no interest in breastfeeding fantasies.
Qu Fengyue looked up at her with a pitiful expression, clinging to her waist.
Song Tai remained unmoved. “No.”
Qu Fengyue looked slightly disappointed. “Alright.”
After a few seconds, Qu Fengyue glanced at the small box on the table and whispered, “Can we try that now?”
Song Tai refused again. “No.”
“Then what about this? Can we try this?”
Song Tai followed her gaze to the nightgown Qu Fengyue had casually tossed onto the chair in front of the vanity. She was about to refuse when Qu Fengyue nuzzled her neck, her voice pleading, “Sister, please don’t refuse me. This nightgown is so beautiful, and you’ll look even more stunning in it. Please put it on and let me see.”
Such sweet talk.
But Song Tai wouldn’t soften.
A few minutes later, Song Tai had changed into the nightgown.
She hadn’t noticed earlier, but the gown was even more revealing than she’d imagined.
Her back was completely bare, the fabric light and airy, its white, smooth lines curving downward to disappear beneath the lace.
Qu Fengyue stared at her intently. “Can I hug you?”
With permission granted, Qu Fengyue wrapped her arms around Song Tai from behind, resting her chin on her shoulder.
“Sister, can I kiss you?”
Song Tai hummed softly.
Qu Fengyue kissed Song Tai’s cheek and neck with fervent devotion, her hand slipping beneath the hem of Song Tai’s dress to caress her.
Song Tai’s breath quickened involuntarily. Teasingly, she asked, “Didn’t you do pretty well? Why would you need to ask others for tips?”
Qu Fengyue remained silent, pressing her lips against Song Tai’s skin.
Taller than Song Tai, with long limbs, Qu Fengyue effortlessly held her completely in her embrace.
Warm breaths brushed intermittently against the nape of Song Tai’s neck.
One arm tightened around her waist, not with excessive force, but with a snugness that made escape difficult.
This posture, this movement, felt too familiar, instantly triggering her body’s muscle memory.
Just like how Qu Fengling used to hold her…
Song Tai frowned, a strange feeling rising in her chest. She tensed to pull away, wanting Qu Fengyue to change positions.
Suddenly, Qu Fengyue whispered in her ear, “Am I the first to see you in this dress?”
“Has my wife worn it for… anyone else?”
Her words were mumbled, and Song Tai’s attempt to break free faltered. For a moment, she didn’t understand. “Who?”
Qu Fengyue: “Your wife.”
Qu Fengling.
Song Tai froze for a few seconds.
This was the first time Qu Fengyue had mentioned Qu Fengling.
Although Qu Fengyue had only been with the company for a short time, she definitely knew Qu Fengling, and it was highly likely she had even met her. After all, Qu Fengling had driven to pick her up from work the day before the car accident.
Song Tai had assumed this was an unspoken agreement between them, a mutual understanding to avoid the topic.
But now, Qu Fengyue had suddenly brought up Qu Fengling directly and without hesitation.
Song Tai didn’t want to discuss anything related to Qu Fengling. The smile on her face faded. “What’s wrong? Why are you bringing this up?”
Qu Fengyue: “If you’re willing to marry her, you must really love her. If she wants to see you wear something, you wouldn’t refuse, right?” Her tone was tinged with jealousy.
“Does she hold you like this? Kiss you like this?”
“But I like you now,” Song Tai interrupted, stroking her cheek dismissively. “And aren’t I wearing this for you right now?”
Qu Fengyue was instantly appeased, obediently burying her cheek in Song Tai’s palm and nuzzling against it, her eyes sparkling as she smiled up at her.
After a moment, Qu Fengyue suddenly asked, “So, have you already forgotten her?”
The smile unconsciously slipped from Song Tai’s lips, and her breathing grew ragged.
No, she couldn’t forget Qu Fengling.
No matter how much she resisted or resented it, the marks Qu Fengling had left on her would resurface from time to time, reminding her.
Qu Fengyue stared intently into her eyes, pressed her hand against Song Tai’s chest to feel her heartbeat, and suddenly chuckled with amusement. “Good. I’m glad you haven’t forgotten. You’re such a good girl, Sister. I’ll reward you.”
Before Song Tai could grasp the meaning of her words, she heard the rustling sound of a package being torn open in the dim light.
Realizing Qu Fengyue’s intention, Song Tai flinched, trying to pull away, but Qu Fengyue forcefully wrapped her arms around her waist and pressed her closer.
“Ah…” The sensation was too intense. Song Tai’s eyes widened, her voice catching in her throat as her waist tensed and trembled.
“Relax, Sister. Don’t be so tense,” Qu Fengyue soothed, kissing her gently.
She smiled, her fingertips tracing Song Tai’s reaction, and whispered, “Besides, you clearly enjoy this. Why are you trying to hide? Hmm?”
Song Tai couldn’t speak.
Qu Fengyue hugged her tightly from behind, then suddenly bit down hard on her shoulder, showing no mercy. Her sharp teeth pierced Song Tai’s skin, leaving her no chance to escape.
A simultaneous rush of pleasure and pain blurred her senses.
Leaning close to Song Tai’s ear, Qu Fengyue suddenly whispered, “Sister, even if you break up with me, you can never forget me, understand?”
In her dazed state, torn between pain and pleasure, Qu Lingyue’s words suddenly resurfaced in Song Tai’s mind:
—”You treat her like a fleeting amusement. Have you ever considered that even the most obedient dog will bite?”
—”What if one day you can’t shake her off completely?”
