I Fall Every Time I Meet an Alpha [Transmigrated into a Book] - Chapter 11
From Zhong Xiaoxiao’s Perspective:
“Enough already! Meng Yuqing, you’re taking this way too far!” Zhong Xiaoxiao tried to push away the “boy” who was hugging her.
That’s right. The boy was actually Meng Yuqing in disguise.
No one knew where she had found a set of male school uniform, a short wig, and probably a pair of height-increasing shoes. She looked much taller than usual. At first glance, Zhong Xiaoxiao almost didn’t recognize her. She looked very much like Meng Yuzhou, except for the small mole on the tip of her nose.
“My brother is watching from over there,” Meng Yuqing whispered playfully into her ear. “Play along a little, will you? If we don’t go all in, how else can we force him to face his feelings and break up with Gan Qingyun?”
“We really don’t have to go this far…” Zhong Xiaoxiao’s face was pressed against Meng Yuqing’s chest. Her cheeks were as red as a cooked shrimp. The loose uniform didn’t hide much. It was soft and clearly well-developed.
This was way too embarrassing.
Zhong Xiaoxiao wanted to bury her face in her hands and disappear.
Meng Yuqing heard her thoughts and couldn’t help but laugh softly. She hugged Zhong Xiaoxiao even tighter and rubbed her chest lightly against her face.
“Soft, right? You should look at yourself, all flat and boring. No charm at all. I really don’t know what my brother sees in you.”
Zhong Xiaoxiao exploded inside. Just a moment ago, she had been about to compliment Meng Yuqing’s figure. Not anymore. No way. She would never say it out loud. That girl would get way too full of herself.
Meng Yuqing gently pushed her back and cupped her warm, blushing cheeks with one hand. Her face slowly moved closer.
Zhong Xiaoxiao’s heart started racing. Her mouth went dry. “What… what are you doing? That’s enough…”
“It’s not enough. We need something stronger.” Meng Yuqing whispered as she kissed the corner of her lips.
Zhong Xiaoxiao felt the soft touch on her lips and her brain completely shut down. Her heart felt like it exploded. She had been single all her life. Oh my god. She had just been kissed. And not by a boy, but by a girl. And not just any girl. It was the villainess herself.
She’s the villainess. The villainess. The villainess. Zhong Xiaoxiao kept repeating it in her mind, trying to snap herself out of it.
The moment had been intense but strangely sweet. However, when Meng Yuqing heard her being called “villainess” in Zhong Xiaoxiao’s thoughts again, she frowned slightly.
So annoying. Always calling me the villainess.
Zhong Xiaoxiao, since I’m the villainess, you might as well experience what it’s like to be completely dominated by one.
Without warning, Meng Yuqing pinched Zhong Xiaoxiao’s chin and leaned in to kiss her fully on the lips.
Zhong Xiaoxiao’s entire world shattered in that instant. Her beliefs, her understanding of reality, her sense of self all scattered like broken glass.
What was happening? What on earth was going on?
Meng Yuqing, are you really turning this fake scene into something real?
Zhong Xiaoxiao felt dizzy. For the first time since arriving in this world, she felt undeniably present and alive. And she had just been completely and undeniably toyed with by the villainess.
When Meng Yuqing slipped her tongue into her mouth, Zhong Xiaoxiao could only think of a thick snake twisting around inside. It even seemed like it was trying to go deeper, toward her throat. The image of a snake burned into her mind, and she broke into a cold sweat. In a panic, she shoved Meng Yuqing away with both hands.
Zhong Xiaoxiao’s lips felt numb. She wanted to scream but was shaking so hard that she couldn’t even form a sentence.
Meng Yuqing casually wiped her lips with her thumb and looked at Zhong Xiaoxiao with a smirk, the kind of smug expression a scoundrel might wear after bullying someone decent.
Seeing that, Zhong Xiaoxiao was on the verge of tears. A wave of frustration and shame surged in her chest. She felt truly violated. And the worst part was, her attacker was a girl. Even if this wasn’t her original body, her soul was here. This was her now.
She had been completely disrespected.
“Meng Yuqing, you’ve gone too far!” Zhong Xiaoxiao finally managed to shout, then turned and ran away.
“I am the villainess after all,” Meng Yuqing said as she watched her leave. “Living up to the name.”
System 666 spoke up. “Don’t you think you’re taking this too far?”
Meng Yuqing replied, “A villainess is supposed to bully the female lead. Isn’t that the whole point?”
“That’s true,” the system said slowly, “but something about this feels off…”
“What’s off about it?”
“This is a romance novel. You didn’t forget that, did you?”
“I didn’t forget. I was just teasing her.”
“Your idea of teasing is seriously questionable.”
Back at home, Zhong Xiaoxiao locked herself in her room and refused to come out. She grabbed a pillow and started pounding it as if it were Meng Yuqing.
Too much. This was just too much.
That horrible Meng Yuqing.
How could she be so bold at her age?
Not only did she flirt with her, but she had also stolen her first kiss.
Zhong Xiaoxiao didn’t even know who she had planned to give that first kiss to, but it was definitely not supposed to go to the villainess.
Of course the villainess would find new and creative ways to mess with her. If the male lead didn’t break up with Gan Qingyun after all this, then she had suffered for nothing.
Meanwhile, Meng Yuzhou had watched the entire scene unfold. The moment he saw that boy hug Zhong Xiaoxiao and kiss her, his heart felt like it was being torn apart.
He started to move forward in anger, but then suddenly stopped in his tracks. Zhong Xiaoxiao wasn’t resisting. She wasn’t pushing the boy away.
Maybe she agreed to it. Maybe she wanted it.
The thought that she had accepted it made it hard for him to breathe.
She wanted it.
He stood there for a moment longer, but in the end, he couldn’t bear to watch any more. He turned around and walked away.
He had once imagined a beautiful future with her.
He had pushed her away because of one foolish decision.
Now, he hated himself for it.
Meng Yuzhou returned home looking completely lost. When he stepped inside, he saw his sister sitting calmly on the sofa, drinking tea.
Meng Yuqing looked up and smiled.
“Brother, where did you go? Why are you back so late? Oh, I know. You must have been out on a date with Gan Qingyun, right?”
As soon as he heard Gan Qingyun’s name, Meng Yuzhou felt a wave of irritation rise inside him.
“No,” he replied bluntly. He was in a bad mood and was about to head straight upstairs. But suddenly, he paused, turned back around, and looked at his sister.
“Do you know the guy who gave Zhong Xiaoxiao that love letter?”
Meng Yuqing raised her eyebrows, a little amused.
“Why are you asking about him? Don’t you already have Gan Qingyun? Why are you still thinking about Zhong Xiaoxiao?”
Her teasing tone made Meng Yuzhou even more annoyed. He tried to stay calm.
“I just asked if you know him. Can you answer without all the extra nonsense?”
Meng Yuqing put on a thoughtful expression, pretending to recall.
“I don’t know him. I didn’t really see his face. From the corner of my eye, he looked pretty handsome. Oh right, I do remember now. He asked Zhong Xiaoxiao to meet him under the Lover’s Trees after school. I wonder how it went. Maybe they hit it off and are a couple now. That would be a happy ending for everyone.”
Meng Yuzhou didn’t say anything. He clearly had nothing more to ask. He turned around and walked upstairs.
Behind him, Meng Yuqing called out again.
“Brother, have you eaten yet?”
A cold voice came from upstairs.
“I’m not eating.”
Meng Yuqing watched him disappear up the stairs, looking completely defeated. For the first time, she felt a spark of hope.
She thought to herself:
It won’t be long now. Soon he’ll break up with Gan Qingyun.
System 666 replied:
That would be for the best.
Meng Yuqing said:
I need to remind Zhong Xiaoxiao that a show like this has to be convincing from beginning to end.
System 666 replied:
You sound really excited.
Meng Yuqing smiled and said:
Of course I’m excited. No one is looking forward to this more than I am.
She was especially eager to see how Zhong Xiaoxiao would react the next time they met.
The next day at school, Zhong Xiaoxiao gave Meng Yuqing a cold stare as soon as she saw her. Meng Yuqing, on the other hand, was her usual self. She wore a sly, smug smile that made her look like she was enjoying every second of it. Zhong Xiaoxiao had to hold herself back from punching her in the face.
When Meng Yuzhou saw Zhong Xiaoxiao, his eyes instinctively fell on her lips. They looked red and slightly swollen. The image in his mind hit him like a sharp blade. It hurt so much that his chest tightened.
“Your math score is terrible. Are you sure you don’t need tutoring?” he asked. The math test results had just come back, and Zhong Xiaoxiao’s grade was disappointing. He used it as an excuse to offer his help again.
“I will try harder on my own,” she replied softly, embarrassed but still firm.
Her polite rejection stung more than she realized. It made Meng Yuzhou feel even worse.
She had changed. She was no longer the girl who always looked up to him and relied on him. She didn’t seem to care about him anymore.
She had someone else now and that person wasn’t him.
